A list of puns related to "Hovercraft tank"
The hovercraft doesn't need a nerf. It's a ton of fun and it's very powerful, but if it's treated with the same gravity as a tank or wildcat, all of a sudden it doesn't seem so OP. The problem is that right now you can spawn way too many hovercrafts and the alternate choice is a jeep that blows up if you stare at it funny and can have the infantry shot out of it by paintballs. The hovercraft is basically a LAV and should be treated as such. if people have to pick a hovercraft over a Wildcat or T14, you are gonna reduce Hovercraft spam substantially without ruining it for people who like the hovercraft.
Now that the hovercraft is out of the mix in the transport section, you can basically make transports endlessly spawnable. Add ATVs in there. This immediately addresses how obnoxious running around the giant maps can be. Seems like such a simple fix that makes the game better for everyone and is a much better solution than making the hovercrafts suck imo.
This game is a bit of a mess atm (quite possibly for a while), but it is our mess and it can still be a lot of fun. There are a lot of things I strongly dislike about it, I honestly think the TOW launcher on the tank is a bit busted too but we can make the most of it for the time being :)

Seriously, 3 rockets to destroy one of these things? A good hovercraft driver can destroy teams without any serious effort because the damn things are so BROKEN. It should take 2 rockets to destroy and a properly placed shot should DISABLE them. Why is the balance in this game so atrocious?
type what u pick in comments!
Hovercraft/Tank.
So this game I'm thinking of was around in 98-2000. You join a team, like red or blue, but you fight in a tank. You build bases with drops you get from your teams' mothership. There are cells, that are basically batteries you can pick up and move close to your enemies base, so you can put up turrets etc, to help destroy their bases.
The maps were pretty big. So going out to get the drops was really important b/c they show up on the map. One player on your team had an uplink, where you could choose what items you wanted to the mothership to drop.
If I remember right, the game was renamed after someone acquired it, or the original guy who made it just changed it. But I'm pretty sure it was sold to someone.
If anyone could please help, It would be much appreciated!
I played this a few times back when I got my first 286-SX, I think. It was a 3-D game, rendered with filled in polygons--imagine something even a little cruder than "Battlezone".
You start out in a tankish vehicle and maneuver past obstacles and the occasional puzzle (usually built into the environment). Eventually you come to a sort of hangar that has a hovercraft in it, and transfer into that vehicle, and then you can go into the air as well as along the ground.
There is no inertia, the controls simply move you in the direction you choose and then you stay there until you push a control again. Sometimes the obstacles attack you. I don't seem to remember them moving, more like they had hidden traps that would zap you every few seconds unless you had solved the appropriate puzzle.
My Dad and I used to play this game on the Mac Performa we got around 1992/93. I can't remember if we bought the game, or if it came with it. I specifically remember that you had to drive over these neon green blocks to refill your energy whenever you had sustained too much damage. If anyone knows which game it is, and/or where I could possibly download it, I'd really appreciate it, been dying to play this game for the last several months. Thanks so much everyone!
No-Pats,
Update #2 will be available on November 25, and brings a set of balance changes for vehicles and weapons, and fixes for critical bugs we found during the Early Access week of November 12.
For vehicles such as the LCAA Hovercraft, MD540 Nightbird, KA-520 Super Hokum and AH-64GX Apache Warchief weβve made adjustments that brings them more in line with other vehicles. On the weapon front, you can expect increased recoil for the PP-29, and more consistent bullet spread for most weapons.
We also fixed several critical bugs we noticed were preventing a consistent game experience. These fixes include situations where you could not be revived or respawn as intended.
Once this update is in your hands weβll follow with Update #3 which is tentatively set for deploy next week. It will be our biggest update so far and provides a larger and more substantial set of changes, including performance enhancements, balance changes, and further QoL improvements. For an early look at that, check out our blog from yesterday.
The full update notes are available below. Weβll keep you updated on the roll out of the update and what's next over on the @BattlefieldComm Twitter account, where you can also follow along with our tracking of known issues, and changes that weβre able to make in real time.
Update 0.2.2
You either go where the action is and get farmed by Helicopters and Hovercrafts or you stay somewhat offside and enjoy 1 gunfight every 5 minutes. Truly horrible.
Just been getting a lot of burnout trying to play infantry and every other kill coming from one of the many spammable vehicles. It was nice to be able to turn your brain off and farm insane amounts of kills on infantry maps like metro and locker in previous games.
Edit: Thanks to the efforts of u/007Silvertoe, we have a community survey based on this list! Please find time to go take it and give the post an upvote so dice sees it!
I'm seeing some people genuinely enjoying that game, and that's great! I want 2042 to be the best game it can be, but the sheer amount of shit that's either missing or just downright worse is astounding so here we go:
(For clarity I'm talking about only the base game content, not portal, although much of this list applies to both)
