A list of puns related to "Home of the Underdogs"
A home team being an underdog in the divisional round is pretty rare.
Only examples I can really think of in my lifetime are:
Do you guys think the Packers would be a home underdog against the Saints this year by the point spread?
Wow.
Last thread was truly a great ride and I'm so honored to have led such a great time.
LETS DO IT AGAIN!!!!

The endings of Manias over the past few years have been deflating, no matter how good the show's been, they always seem to end in disappointing fashions.
I just want a happy mania this year, there's so much bad stuff going on in the real world, Wrestling is an escape to many people and whilst I obviously understand the greatness of darker or more ambiguous storylines, just for once, give us a feelgood mania. I'm not saying that every single face has to win but I think those 3 matches of Becky/Ronda/Charlotte, Seth/Brock and Kofi/Bryan have the potential to really inject some positivity into the wrestling world.
WWE has a bit of a reputation of falling into too many heel wins, too much 'HEAT', too much misery. That stuff obviously has its place but I think it's been overdone as of late in WWE. We don't get too many feelgood moments anymore. This year has given us 3 organically beloved good guys, there's no better time than now.
Go all out, give us something to smile about. These shows are 7 hours long, they can leave fans feeling exhausted by the end. Instead of leaving exhausted, let us be happy for a moment, just a moment in time where we don't have to worry about our problems, we can just enjoy our fantasy world with the good guys winning in the end.

OWL is in its third season already! It feels like yesterday when people were speculating what teams and players were going to get picked up, and what cities would even get a team. I want to highlight some of the deep history Overwatch had before OWL existed, because there is a whole world of sick plays, heroes, villains and backstabbing that many have never heard of.
Today, I want to put the spotlight on one of the most interesting teams throughout the history of T2-T3 Overwatch. Denial eSports as a team existed from September 2016 to July 2017, being signed to Denial from October 2016 to April 2017.
This is not The Story Of xQc, though he will feature prominently as the face of the team.
The early days
Initially, the team was known as Q?. They entered their first tournament on record on September 9th 2016, with a roster consisting of Dahun, zza, Endless, GodHand, xQc and Jolson, battling their way through [GosuGamers Weekly #18] (https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/GosuGamers_Overwatch_Weekly/North_America/18). Unfortunately, they lost their first game to Colorado Clutch, a team including a young hitscan prodigy called Calvin. They did manage to beat out a team including future OWL players Muma and Boink, but got taken out in the next round.
Denial eSports
In the coming months, theyβd continue with similar results, but kept a stable roster. Denial eSports picked them up in October. Denial eSports is now defunct, but had a somewhat storied history in the scene. Theyβve had teams in a multitude of esports, notably winning a world championship in Call Of Duty in 2015. By the time Denial picked up the Q? roster, whispers of missed payments and broken promises were making the rounds, but the squad was glad to be signed. Right after getting picked up, they had their first notable result, finishing 2nd in the [Rivalcade Arena Spectacular] (https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Rivalcade_Arena_Spectacular/5), only losing to Kungarna in an early iteration including Bishu and Babybay.
Sadly, this would remain their only notable success for a while β they did qualify for a monthly tournament in November, but got cleanly dispatched by Immortals in their first round. Around this time, GodHand dropped out of the team, to be replaced by flex support Gingerpop, and coach Jerkkit joined the team. Then, in February, Endless left the team to be replaced by Danteh, then playing offtank.
This is also the point where the team started to ma

So of the 90 times a team as been an underdog by such a margin they've won about 1/16 times prior.
If you bet on New England to win straight up your payoff was -1600 (or 1/16).
The last time we had an opening NBA post-season day with 3 or more upsets was 2014 (with the Nets upsetting then as well as the Warriors upsetting the Clippers). It happened in 2009 as well, with the Bulls pulling off an epic overtime upset against a KG-less Celtics, while a decade beforehand the Knicks, Rockets, and Hawks helped push the underdog in 1996. In 1981 the Kansas City Kings, the Rockets, and the Bulls managed to pull it off, but other then that it's been a relatively rare phenomena in the post-merger era.
Kind of a random stat, but it's a cool feat to me, especially with so many young teams on the rise. Parity isn't my place to talk, but I think if today was a sign of anything, it's that we're in for an epic decade of basketball looking forward. Props to the teams that pulled it off today! The Magic and Spurs games were both two of the most exciting match-ups I've seen all year (shoutout the mid-range jumpshot).
Edit: Just for clarification, I mean "upset" as in a higher seed winning.
Every character in this game seems to have options to counter Ganondorf, and the online meta is FILLED with hard counters. I love this character so much but I still pray for a patch to give him some better hit boxes. I know I can always do better, but sometimes it feels like there's just nothing I can do against certain matchups.

BILLS MAFIA!!!
Ferentz currently trails Alvarez (9) and Paterno (10) but there is a very real chance he could become the all time leader in bowl wins by the time he retires.
The only 2 bowl games Iowa has been favored during Kirk Ferentzβs tenure were the 2017 Pinstripe Bowl and 2009 Outback Bowl.

Hayden is the Handsome Jack of Doom 2016, imo. He's charming as hell, and you can't help liking the dude, but even though he believes he's the hero, and he does have a good argument, he's sacrificing too much for the sake of power. He's not going to be the Kahn Makyr. He's going to be a mortal who got too close to power that wasn't meant for us, and KM gave him a spanking.
Doomslayer is going to find him and listen to his story, about the hubris, the lesson learned, the evil of the supposed angel, who will probably be there to wipe up humanity and demonkind alike, but the real test will be if Doomguy spares him this time. Will he pull an Orochimaru and actually redeem himself/carry on? I really honestly hope so. The character is just so damn charming. Probably not though because the more predictable/safe option is just to have him killed. Shame. Just thought about this and wanted to see what you all think. In any case, I'm so damn stoked for this game!

In sports this year thereβs been a lot of crazy stories.
The Houston Astros organization was hit HARD (though not hard enough) for cheating. No one knows what will happen next but almost everyone involved is facing severe penalties. And a lot of the people who lost to them and were chewed out for βchokingβ are starting to be looked at in a new light.
Joe Burrow, a not heavily recruited QB was a 3rd stringer at Ohio State. He transferred to LSU where after a year of playing OK he shattered every record in CFB history. He also beat 2 dynasties in Alabama and Clemson and restored balance to CFB for now. Heβs now going to go on to play for his hometown Cincinnati Bengals as the #1 pick.
Last night Andy Reid, the winningest coach in NFL history who never had won a super bowl, finally got over the hump. In his 21 year career he had coached amazing teams that never could quite win the big one. In this playoff run he had 3 times been down by at least 10 points, and every time rallied his troops for the W. The team he coached, the Kansas City Chiefs, hadnβt won a title in 50 years. This was the longest gap for any franchise in the NFL.
Something is in the water this year, and I think weβre ripe for an upset of our own. Excited to see how we do today everyone, itβs been awesome seeing it get to this point.
It would be very interesting to see how players like Ezekiel, Eva, Dakota, Leonard, etc interact with each other without all of the higher end players to worry about. Could give some characters time theyβve missed out on too
This comes from the discussions about Maractus, and I've thought about lesser thought about Pokemon that people hold in high regards for one reason or another.
Mine is Hoppip, that little grass... creature is so dang cute, and it's one of the few shinies I've caught, and I will be severely disappointed if it is not in the game!
