Humans
Pixies
One particular group of apes called humans eventually evolved full bipedalism and sapience, building civilizations. One species of human became enamored with magic and purposefully used it to influence their evolution, shrinking and gaining wings. Pixies primarily live in villages and eat cake.
Gorgons
Another early species of human also became infatuated with magic; however, they were unable to control it, and were instead cursed into becoming horrible monstrosities. Gorgons live in isolated temples feasting on anything that enters.
Cyclopes
Another species is descended from one eyed mutants that should not have been able to survive if it weren't for another freak mutation giving them extra muscle growth. They eventually grew to massive sizes and grew a horn in an effort to intimidate predators. They live in isolated areas and raise sheep as their main prey, although they do occasionally hunt for food.
Barakos
One final species that dealt with magic specified in solar magic, growing to large sizes and controlling large villages of their creations which hunt for them.
Villagers
A less magic obsessed species instead inhabits villages, peacefully harvesting crops and raising livestock.
Illagers
A group of villagers, however, decided to dabble in darker arts, leading to them being exiled. They have spent so long in isolation that they have become a separate subspecies.
Ravagers
In one of darkest experiments ever performed by the illagers, a group of villagers were kidnapped and mutated by magic into these horrific monstrosities.

I'm looking for recommendations for books about the history of indigenous ecology or indigenous forestry practices. I'd prefer one that is centered on the Pacific region of the US, but any recommendations would be welcome.
Thanks in advance!

Algae
Kelp
Most algae are microscopic, and therefore escape the parameters laid out here, with one noticeable exception. Despite belonging to another kingdom, kelp closely resembles aquatic plants. They use the weightlessness of the water to reach astonishing length stretching from the ocean floor to the surface and use this length to spread into deeper areas of the ocean than seagrass and lily pads can. Despite this impressive size, they most closely resemble moss in biology, lacking a vascular system and reproducing via spores. Certain members of this species were corrupted by the Orb of Dominance, becoming poison anemones, quick growing anemones, and wavewhisperers.
Fungi
Glow Lichen
A special species of fungus lives in composite with certain bioluminescent bacteria to create glow lichen. This species lives on cave walls, gaining their energy via chemosynthesis. Glow lichen evolved macroscopy separately from other fungi and are therefore relatively removed from the rest of the species discussed here.
Mycelium
The very first macroscopic fungi eked out a simple living in and on dirt, obtaining energy by absorbing energy released bacteria and decomposing organisms. These primitive fungi split into two clades in the Nether and Overworld, with all other fungi originating from these two original clades, with similarities being caused by convergent evolution instead of genuine relations. These primitive organisms continue to dominate, with nylium spreading across the Nether and mycelium on certain isolated islands in the Overworld removed from compet

Introduction
The world of Minecraft is expansive, filled with all sorts of flora and fauna, most notably mobs (short for "mobile organisms"). This manual will examine the various macroscopic species inhabiting the world, giving a brief overview of their biology and evolutionary history.
Origin
The origin of life is shrouded in mystery. It is known to have occurred at least twice in two of the three known dimensions: the Overworld and the End. (The Nether was instead colonized by lifeforms from the other two.) The two most common theories regarding the origin of life are the chemical origin theory (according to which life originated by random chemical reactions) and the magic origin theory (according to which life originated by a random spark of magic).
The very first life forms are referred to as MUCA (Minecraft Universal Common Ancestor; referred to as such due to being named before the rediscovery of the End) and EUCA (End Universal Common Ancestor); the origin of both the Ender Dragon and the Orb of Dominance and their relation to EUCA are unknown, and some theorize that the Orb of Dominance may itself be EUCA.
Eventually, both MUCA and EUCA diversified into various groups, which will be covered in the following chapters.
Plants
Mosses
The very first plants resembled the modern day moss, mostly structureless photosynthesizers eking out a living on the sides of stone. Over time, however, plants with more complex structures, namely a vascular system, managed to out compete almost all of their primitive relatives except the aforementioned moss.
Ferns
The first vascular pl

Animals
Corals
The very first animals were sea dwelling immobile filter filters of various relations, including coral. Coral consists of hard and soft clades, with the former being referred to as "true" corals and the latter as fan corals. Both groups contain tube, brain, bubble, fire, and horn species.
Sea Pickles
Another group of filter feeders, these animals are capable of movement, although they were by no means the first.
Starfish
Alongside the preceding sea pickle, starfish are part of the echinoderm group and are carnivorous, feeding mainly on clams.
Clams
Yet another group of immobile filter feeders, clams are part of the mollusc group alongside cephalopods and possess powerful shells.
Cephalopods
This group consists of squid and glow squids which are functionally identical except for the latter possessing bioluminescence. They are carnivores that eat fish.
Death Worms
Descended from simpler roots, the unique and ferocious death worms prowl the desert sands looking for prey.
Grottols
The first animals to leave the ocean were arthropods, a group of animals that possess an exoskeleton and multiple sets of legs. Once arriving on land, the arthropods split between the amphibious crustaceans, the six legged insects, and the eight legged arachnids. Most crustaceans have gone extinct, leaving behind a single cave dwelling, omnivorous, fully terrestrial descendent that consumes minerals and excretes them onto its back to form a formidable shell.
Spiders
The only remaining arachnids, there are two species of the carnivorous spider: the

End
Endermites
Endermites are descendants of silverfish that wound up in the End and evolved to match their new surroundings.
Endermen
Endermen are the descendants of builders that were trapped in the End after the collapse, evolving long arms and the ability to teleport.
Enderlings
Enderlings are endermen that were corrupted by the Orb of Dominance, becoming the projectile using blastings, the spider like snarelings, the beefy watchlings, and the horrifying endersent.
Chorus Fruit
The plant-like chorus fruit is one of two natural inhabitants of the End and shows the characteristic ability to cause all those that consume it to gain the ability to teleport.
Shulkers
The other natural species found in the End, shulkers are small creatures that have the ability to teleport and possess a large shell that they hide inside for protection.
Artificial Life
Blazes
Blazes are beings of pure magic that inhabit Nether fortresses and were created by the old builders for unknown reasons.
Guardians
Guardians, and their larger, more powerful cousins, the elder guardians, were created by the old builders to defend their massive ocean monuments.
Ferrous Wroughtnauts
Ferrous Wroughtnauts are massive suits of armour magically brought to life by the ancient builders to protect their treasures.
Barakoas
Barakoas at their cousins the barakoans are masks brought to life by the barakos to serve as hunters and protectors.
Golems
Golems are more traditional automatons, being constructed to fulfill the needs of their creators. There are various kinds of golems that are named after the mater

A tidbit from the wiki:
>On August 23, 2012, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, representing more than 800 plaintiffs, found TVA liable for the spill. Judge Thomas A. Varlan, issued an opinion stating that "TVA is liable for the ultimate failure of North Dike which flowed, in part, from TVA's negligent nondiscretionary conduct."[72] The ruling ultimately found that TVA did not build the holding ponds according to the initial plan and failed to train its employees on how to properly inspect the dikes surrounding the ash ponds, leading ultimately to a failure to maintain the facility to prevent a rupture of the dikes.[73]

Hi all,
I am interested in the industrial ecology masters program joint degree at University of Leiden/TU Delft. I am an American graduate with a bachelor of science degree in conservation biology. I have 4 years work experience in consulting and government work in ecology and engineering. I graduated with a 3.36 GPA (I was also working in the discipline full time while attending university full time) I have a few questions if anyone is able to answer:
Is it a difficult program to be admitted?
Has/is anyone studied/studying in this program? Do you enjoy it?
On average, how long does it actually take to hear an admission decision? The website states 4-6 weeks, however I've seen on reddit that it usually takes longer (8-10 weeks). Has anyone heard back from admissions from this program?
Thank you! I appreciate any response :)
