Hinduism the religion with 33 million gods but in game only 6. why?
I think the dev could add a feature where you get a different set of gods depending on what your culture group is. There would only be 7 unique set of gods for the 7 culture groups that start of with Hinduism as it religion. And for those countries outside of these 7 culture group you would have the default set of gods.
Some people are going to ask why would the dev consider this and i say more variety game play. Hinduism in southeast asia should play a differently than those in south Indian and north and reflect history of the regions.

Hi everyone. If this is offensive or not the right place to ask, forgive me. I wanted to find out how common interracial relationships are in Sri Lanka and how they are viewed. Is this something that would cause discrimination or is it socially acceptable there? And how do the older generations perceive this?

(3) What did you spend your money on? What percentage did you save/invest of it? Where did you invest? Did you end up spending all the money buying consumable goods, clothes, did you have family to take care of?
(4) Assuming you saved & invested, what have you done / what do you plan on doing with the money you have invested/saved?
The title says it all, I am about to come into some money (~15M) and I have been considering in investing it in a business. Does anyone has any ideas worth looking into?

What do othodox hindus think about this alternative system of yugas created by Sri Yukteswar? Do they accept it or do they stick to the ancient, traditional system of yugas?

I just saw a post here by another user who suffered discrimination by a hotel owner in Kany, where they were asked to cancel their booking as the hotel "only served foreigners". There was also a news report a few days ago highlighting the same situation in places like Unawatuna and Mirissa. Apparently, even some other South Asian tourists were impacted, not just locals.

While these hotel owners begged locals to come and stay with them during the last 2 years, their discriminatory practices have risen once again since foreign tourist arrivals have picked up.
It's just plain ugly. I'm not aware of any other country that does this other than possibly a few places in India. Most countries (even developing countries) actually treat their own guests better than foreign ones.
Usually, big hotels aren't the problem. It's mostly smaller establishments, especially the ones aimed at backpackers. Ironically, a lot of these places pictures of Bob Marley who preached universal love!
If such an incident happens:

Complain to the booking site with proof. Almost all booking sites such as AirBnB, Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, etc. have a strict no discrimination policy, and they will delete the listing. As most of these places rely on these booking sites for business, it would be a big nail in their coffin.

Give fitting reviews on Tripadvisor, Facebook, and Google. Most foreigners themselves are very much against discrimination. Such a thing is pretty much unthinkable in the west! They will largely stay out of such places if they knew such mal-practices were happening.

Complain to the SLTDA. They have reiterated that they don't tolerate discrimination. If the hotel is listed, SLTDA would cancel their license.

Dont you think its high time that we revamp and rethink the educational system of Sri Lanka that has not changed for literally decades??Why do we need a scholarship exam? What has it actually achieved? We must remove this whole scholarship exam first.
Then we must fairly allocate equal amounts of resources for every school based on the amount of children they have and their needs rather than giving away the lions share of resources to Royal, Thomas, Anandha, Nalandha Wesley etc. If there are two schools with 4000 students each, one in a high class area in Colombo, while the other is somewhere down south in a town nobody knows, then both should receive the best quality of education, equal resources and facilities.
If someone feels like no no, my school has a rich history and we deserve more than what we actually need, then you are a part of the problem.
Sorry if I sound naive in this post. I am a Sri Lankan teenager living in Australia. I have heard of food shortages, inflation, and exploding gas (?), with many of my family members pointing to the president as the cause. The stories have been largely negative so far. Is this stuff overblown or is Sri lanka truly facing some very difficult times? I know the media tends to sensationalise everything so that's why I ask.
As I'm a hobbyist photographer, I went to the Maradana train station to take some pictures of passing trains and people (I even bought a ticket to enter the platform) and the ticketing officers really caused a stir saying I had broken the law and this was a crime and took me to the station master where I had to delete my photographs in front of them. They said I'd have to get written permission next time if I wanted to take photographs. Now I'm an amicable fellow. As far as I know wasn't imposing, and didn't trouble any of the passengers and just took pics as the trains came under the bridge at sunset.
If it is against the law I totally understand and won't repeat it, but isn't it as illegal then when both foreign and local tourists record 4k videos in and around on their train trips to Ella and whatnot? Isn't it as illegal to take a selfie in a train station according to their claims? I have a feeling I was just being bullied so that I remember that public servants are powerful and that members of the puny citizenry like myself can stuff it. :/
