A list of puns related to "Harold Wilson conspiracy theories"
Haven't listened to this yet but I will be really disappointed if there's no vaguely believable conspiracies. Considering the fact that his successor lost a vote of no confidence to be replaced by Maggie T (aka head witch) and a conservative government. This is seen by some historians as inevitable considering how little labour had managed to do to help the economy. He was probably just a clever pup who got out before it happened.
(Also, sorry I've been a bit lax on these recently. I've been really busy)
How much is known of the involvement of Lord Mountbatten in the Anatoliy Golitsyn defector's story & Cecil King 1968 conspiracy against Wilson & the Labour Party? And how much was he involved, if at all, in the military & MI5 1974 'Clockwork Orange' threatened coup d'Γ©tat against the Wilson government?
There appears to be very little factual writing about both events: the novel 'Spy Catcher' and I think there was a BBC sort of documentary made about this in 2006, but afaik it was never shown in Canada. Mountbatten still appears to remain a somewhat shadowy figure politically, one who may have shared some of the same views as King Edward VIII? More info and/or leads to more informative, accredited history would be appreciated.
Feel free to disagree with me if you want but personally I just think he is hilarious really especially in The Castle with his weird obsession with poking people not to mention the way he says βI like touching thingsβ something about that just cracks me up. So really heβs more of a love to hate character for me.
It would probably be far more easier to abolish the lords than it should be to end the Monrachy. No referendum, no debate not even a focus and monarchy is abolished and England becomes a socialist republic that somehow still maintains house of lords while changing the flag. Also why exactly is it that a socialist republic is still working in this weird Parliamentary sovereignty system rather than making a new constitution? and why is it that a country that's barely out of a civil war through the support of royalist military officers and monarchy sympathetic public and social institutions give a mere -3% when such a massive political decision is taken? and why would they even do this? they'd clearly have more important priorities.
