Good morning Mayor Stefanus Koenigsmann, welcome to my household. Your recent election to be Mayor of Schengen slightly concerns me based on your platform you campaigned on. According to what I believe you are anti-LuxCorp, anti-Grand Duke, pro-independence for Schengen and Mondorf-Les-Bains, as well as being Anti-LuxNet. First off I want to know why you are against me and my actions. Secondly, what problems do you have with LuxCorp and finally what are your goals when you say you are pro-independence for Schengen and Mondorf-Les-Bains.

Following the general election results and the Duke's Party's leadership of the Conservative Coalition, Grand Duke Guillaume V declared the prime minister to be himself. Being the leader of the largest party in the chamber of deputies, the Grand Duke said that it was only right that he become the prime minister. Also to note is the fact that the Grand Duke of Luxembourg choose the prime minister of Luxembourg which in this case happens to be the same person.

Liberals around the country are causing a ruckus saying that the Executive and Legislative branch have merged into one and that there will be no more check and balances anymore. The Conservative coalition has responded by saying, "Not true the Judicial branch is also a part of the Executive branch because the Grand Duke appoints them also." The Grand Duke now has a strong control over the Government of Luxembourg along with his coalition.

His goals as prime minister have recently been announced to be:

Prevent foreign invasions of Luxembourg

Expand foreign and domestic investments by the Luxembourg government

Develop new commercial technologies to increase Luxembourg's role as a economic powerhouse.

Get Married and secure the line of succession. (Personal Goal)

The Grand Duke's title shall now be know as His Royal Highness Guillaume V, by the Grace of God, Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Duke of Nassau, Count Palatine of the Rhine, Count of Sayn, Königstein, Katzenelnbogen and Diez, Burgrave of Hammerstein, Lord of Mahlberg, Wiesbaden, Idstein, Merenberg, Limburg and Eppstein.

A week ago the elderly Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg died of heart failure at 72 years old. His son, Guillaume has been crowed today as the new Grand Duke of Luxembourg. Guillaume has said in a speech he looks forward to working with the Chamber of Deputies to grow Luxembourg into a financial power house after the market collapses in the past. Grand Duke Guillaume V has also showed support for the Luxembourgian culture and it is believed that there will be new reforms to immigration and education proposed by him to strength the Luxembourgian culture.

Grand Duke Guillaume V also wants to pursue closer ties with neighboring countries like the French Third Empire, Deutsches Kaiserreich, and the Netherlands. Guillaume V sees the dilapidated infrastructure located throughout Luxembourg and will push to improve this infrastructure to make Luxembourg’s economy stronger.

There are some worries however with the new Grand Duke. Many Luxembourgians are wishing for a restoration of power to the Grand Duke after seeing neighboring examples of France and Germany. Some members of the Chamber of Deputies are worried that the Duke still has the power to dissolve them if they happen to not do as he wishes…

The ceremony was broadcasted live on Luxembourgian television and social media platforms such as FaceScroll and Squawker. The entire Luxembourgian armed forces, about 800 men, were out in their ceremonial dress to parade the new Duke around Luxembourg City.

The people of Luxembourg have fallen into mourning at the death of their monarch and Head of State, Henri, who passed away after a short illness. The Grand Duke had been plagued with a series of health effects caused by his Atherosclerosis. His son and heir apparant, Guillaume, announced the news a few weeks before his address to the Council of the State, giving up his place as councillor to his brother, now heir apparant, Prince Felix. Guillaume, a keen learner of foreign languages, praised, in his speech, the tenure of his father. He expressed plans to move to protect Luxembourgish minorities in nations neighbour to Luxembourg, including Germany and France, and to work across the continent with Brazil to protect the Luxembourgish speaking minorities there. As well as this, he expressed great interest in the movement towards international peace, including in the tense Baltic and Balkans regions. Guillaume is set to be coronated by the end of the year, November being a likely target.

In other news today, the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, wishes to discuss current affairs and other matters with Grand Duke Guillaume, of Luxembourg.

Dear fellow citizens,

In these difficult times, it is important for me to share these thoughts with you.

As you all know, the number of Coronavirus infections has again increased massively over the past few days. In Europe and around the world.

Luxembourg has not been spared by this second important wave. Of particular concern to me is the fact that there have been infections in hospitals, where staff have been infected. Added to this is the news that there is at the same time a resurgence of infections in old people's and nursing homes.

Because of this new increase in infections, the situation in the health sector is tense. All the medical staff is doing an extraordinary job. They are doing their utmost to ensure optimal care.

But it is also important that everyone who lives or works in Luxembourg helps to stop the spread of the virus again.

We all have a responsibility towards our loved ones, especially towards vulnerable and elderly people.

Solidarity and respect require us to abide by the rules. We owe this not only to our fellow human beings, but also to nurses, doctors, nurses' assistants and all hospital staff.

Restrictions that limit our daily lives and freedoms are exceptional measures that are not taken lightly. But they are currently necessary and appropriate in the fight against the pandemic.

Thus it is essential to limit social contacts to the strict minimum. It is in fact the small gestures that can have a significant impact.

We must act now. Only together will we succeed in overcoming this ordeal.
