A list of puns related to "Grit (newspaper)"
What can I say? I re-watched this movie for the third time last night and suddenly picked up on so many things I missed on the first and second viewings.
First of all, the direction and acting are superb and of course, Roger Deakins is just a marvel. Even Roger Ebert said- "The cinematography of Roger Deakins reminds us of the glory that was, and can still be, the Western."
The writing is what really stood out to me. The Coen brothers rarely (if ever) miss. Their vernacular is incredibly unique and funny. Each and every character has a beautiful arc and there's so many things that are mentioned in the beginning that come back to play.
Also, the character design is so cool. Before we even see some of the characters, Cogburn and others describe distinct physical features they have. Ex. Tom Chaney having a black powder mark on his cheek and Ned Pepper having a messed up lip.
Anyways, I loved this movie. Just thought it goes under the rada
... keep reading on reddit β‘Played several games over the last 2 days as huntress with Benjo build, for anyone who isn't sure it usually has: Mad Grit, Agitation, Iron Grasp and Bloodwarden. The amount of games people have been calling me a hacker brings to light a serious problem right now. The whole community is in hysteria over hackers. If you see a killer carrying a survivor and they can swing repeatedly it is Mad Grit. I crawled out of a game as surv with tenacity and get reported because it's "impossible to make it that far". If you play a game of DBD and something happens that you don't quite understand, do yourself a favour and inspect the end game screen before you start typing and make yourself look foolish. There's enough paranoia in the game as it is without adding illiteracy as an additional hurdle.
In essence: if you don't know/understand something that happened stop assuming, and if you are still not sure what happened ASK the killer/survivors if they can clarify. There's currently 100x more hackers in people's heads than have ever touched DBD
We just checked in to a Seattle property. Property was located down an semi- unploughed road (post ice/snow storm) and it was 25 unshovelled steps down stairs from road to door. We made it (just) to the property and cleared the steps to the door (manually, no shovel provided, no salt/grit). Host will not provide salt/grit or shovel as she does not have a 4wd car. (We donβt either! And she totally failed to mention this would be an issue prior to check in). Whatβs our recourse?
Help! I crave shrimp and grits.
Not going to King Soopers βcause of the strike. Canβt find it at Whole Foods. Safeway only has that instant garbage.
Thank you.
As you can infer from my profile and post history, Iβm a language learner trying to master 3 languages. Iβm not in this for fun or just to prepare for some 3-day trip, I actually want to be really f****** good at all 3 languages. Iβve decided to dedicate my life to this labour (sounds cult-like, I know, but I really feel a strong sense of passion for what Iβm doing) (that is, I donβt aspire to be the idiots who claim to speak 20 languages but can only utter a few simple words and phrases). And after that, maybe Iβll learn a couple more- French or Russian perhaps?
Itβs not that Iβm terrible at them: for Spanish, Iβve reached a pretty good level- for those who know the CEFR scale, itβs around the C1 level, while for Italian and Portuguese, I do have an intermediate level when it comes to writing and listening and reading comprehension, but I struggle with speaking at times.
However, the problem is that every time I make a mistake or forget a word/phrase, be it in the essays that I write to practise or while talking to native speakers, no matter how big or small the mistake/lapse is, I feel like Iβve committed some sort of crime (I donβt know if this sounds childish, but please bear with me).
I feel humiliated, devastated and the feeling gets worse if it turns out that some of the errors that I make are basic, and I could have prevented them had I used what I learnt correctly at that precise moment.
Background (so you understand why I feel this way): I go all-out to study and try my very best at all 3 languages. I read multiple newspapers from 4-5 different countries EVERYDAY, listen to podcasts in each language, write at least a 200-word essay EVERY SINGLE DAY (rotating between Italian and Portuguese, the weaker languages), and try to squeeze in a couple of hours of speaking practise, if time and energy level permits. Iβve essentially transformed my routine into one reminiscent of a military base/camp, no frills with a lot of drills- at least for now.
How do I get these negative thoughts out of my head? I think I need some pep-talk or motivational speech at this point⦠:(
Iβm so tired of being thrown around like a rag doll while being a βtankβ. For whatever reason, str users get grit dashing by spamming left click meanwhile my full tank build gets pushed around everywhere I go.
Please just change the 300 con node to give grit on block.
Pros: -tanks get to stay in a healers healing while tanking
-the +cc duration node gets removed so you donβt need to worry about perma cc for future weapon releases or buffs (VG comes dangerously close to having perma root against AI while at range. There might already be a build with perfect gear that can pull it off)
-tanks get the feeling of actually tanking
-stuns still goes through grit so you canβt just rely on block
-max 200 points in damage attributes (more realistically 150 unless you are able to use max food 24/7) so you are actually sacrificing damage for this.
-promotes more skill expression for those not just holding down block the entire time
Cons:
-str users will probably complain about it
