A list of puns related to "Graph toughness"
My students and I are looking at a class of non-hamiltonian 1-tough graphs, and I'm seeing papers here and there, but was wondering what the best way would be for me to get caught up on the "state of the art" for testing a graph to see if it is 1-tough.
Iβm trying to find a Hamiltonian cycle on many different types of graph: hypercubes, Peterson graph(8,3) - and am finding it difficult.
For people who approach this without using a computerβs help, what is your approach?
Also, what if I wanted to prove that a general graph has a Hamiltonian cycle β what qualities do I need to look out for or build a generalization from?
Thank you!
Welcome to the first of 10 archetype deep-dives that Iβm going to be writing over the next two weeks or so, today focusing on UW. Iβm going to go in-depth on how to build UW, a data dive on which commons get better or worse when youβre in UW specifically, whether you should splash in UW, and then look at some trophy-winning UW decks to see what makes them tick.
I know weβre relatively late in the format, but I think Iβve got some valuable analysis to share regardless, and I wanted to get some feedback on this article format for future sets. So please let me know what you think!
Who am I? Iβm Sam, a draft fiend and maths geekβ¦which is probably why Iβm writing a stats article about draft in my free time. Shocking, right? If youβd like to follow me, I have a very active Youtube drafting channel Draft Punks and I tweet about limited all the time.
Letβs get to it!
UW is one of the most diverse archetypes in VOW, with many sub-archetypes potentially present. It may feature any of the following themes (note: to save me repeating myself, Iβm only talking about commons and uncommons in these discussions, unless stated otherwise):
Well, there is something that is bugging me a lot these days so I'm letting it out here. I hope you guys can give me your point of view and insight. It's all the diversity fuss that's going on in tech. industry. I'm a 3rd year CSE student at one of the NITs. So, you can safely assume that I don't know anything about the culture and workarounds of the tech world. I'm just trying to do the best possible that I can.
Now, Coming to the main point of the post. Why are companies pushing for diversity so so so much? The ratio of the girls who opt for engineering are in the ratio of 1:10 girls to boys. Which is bumped up by the girls reservation in to 1:5 in the college. Now, I'm seeing that companies are trying to push this to 1:1. I do believe in the equality of opportunity but not in the equality of outcome. But things these days are really going down badly. I'm a student who just wants to get the fruit of his hardwork and that's all. I know the world is not fair and I mostly absorb the fact that I cannot get opportunities everytime that I deserve. But what I see these days has truly broken the camels back.
Elaborating on what I just said, I just want a summer internship at a company that pays me a fair stipend(I don't want to do unpaid). A lot of companies came to my campus for hiring interns. They mostly favoured girls. Really really badly. Goldman Sachs took 4 girls and 1 boy. Flipkart took 3 girls and 1 boy. Nvidia, Adobe and DE Shaw didn't even allow boys to sit for the OA. Wells Fargo put up different cutt offs for boys and girls in the OA just to get a nice 1:1 ratio. These are just a few examples. There are 20 more like it. Almost all the girls in the top 3 branches have an intern now and boys are just fighting for the crumbs. Was the industry like this before my college time as well? If yes why? If not then what changed now?
Fine. I yet didn't give up. I started applying off campus. But the issue in the open market is even worse. Amazon absorbed like every girl they could find through the Amazon WOW program and didn't even give the boys the link for the test. Similarly there's a flipkart Runway program just for girls. My resume gets rejected like 99% of the times and even in times I do get the OA. the questions for gender neutral roles are crazy tough which are almost impossible to do in 90 mins and I'm talking codeforces 2500+ level tough. And yet again, I got my resume made by people who are already working in big tech. I've put my op

I call myself the Guardian Ape.
This title was not given to me, however, I wear it as a beacon of hope. My time in this stock is quickly approaching a year of holding and I'm not letting off the gas pedal now. I've worked extremely hard to form an indestructible thesis to solidify my long position on AMC. I share these ideas with this community for the sole reason of:
There is strength in numbers.
Many apes just like you have been drawn to AMC stock from Reddit, YouTube, Reddit, you name it. Some of you bought in 2020, most in 2021, and few so far in 2022. Every ape that is long is in this stock for the same reason: MOASS. This is fabled by many, however, I can assure you that this is a scenario that is achievable. Before I discuss how, I'd like to address a very important topic you all need to hear:
There is growing concern about AMC's plunge from $70 to $20. The FUD is thriving and I'm here to explain the facts on what is really going on. It's a tough pill to swallow, this is where we are. AMC can only progress from this point!
On January 7th, 2022, AMC closed at $22.99 down 69% from it's all time high of $72.62 on June 2nd, 2021. Every Ape here has been hyped up hundreds, thousands, and millions of dollars per share every week since that all time high. You were there for amazing green days and the dreadful red days, but still, you continued to buy and hold throughout the entire rollercoaster ride.
>So, you're thinking of selling now. Maybe you already have? Your down some money now, maybe you'll sell now and buy back lower. Oh you did, and it still went down? Maybe you'll go short now.
>
>That's exactly where they want you.
The shorts have billions of dollars at stake here. AMC and friends are consuming short hedge fund resources by millions per day. Apes are playing with their money as much as they are playing with ours. Thankfully, #APESTOGETHERSTRONG

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes
Punchline !
Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat
Do your worst!
Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.

Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?

End of M-1 and I'm not doing so great in physiology, I'm still above the average but just by the skin of my teeth and I have to work harder than I have for any other class to be there.
I really enjoyed Cardiac, GI and Endocrine. The systemic thinking, and the cause and effect are really neat and engaging. I dig ion movement and transporters too.
However, I suck at physics, I've always sucked at math, and as soon as formulas show up my mind starts to blank and then I see graphs and my palms get all sweaty.
I'm really hating Renal/Acid base/Respiratory and I feel like I'm not understanding the formulas and graphs on an intuitive basis beyond memorizing and plug and chug. It makes studying it so much more difficult when my eyes glaze over 10 minutes in.
I know physiology is a huge part of IM and understanding medicine in general, and is high yield on STEP, so it's kinda stressing me out that I'm not understanding and remembering these formulas on any kind of real intuitive level.
My physio exams are my worst grades in medical school, and I'm working the hardest for them.

I see posts of motivation/discipline a ton of this forum - "I don't want to do this/I can't make myself study/This is bullshit"... etc.
I totally get it. We feel like this is an arms race and studying for interviews is a job in and of itself.
Real talk though - this is how it is. This is the reality. You can rage against it, try and change it over the long term, or accept it. If you want a good job, the third option will get you there, and hopefully allow you to be in a position to change this when you become an exec/high level.
>God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

I've been reading a ton of stoic literature lately, and it's made a big difference in my overall attitude and demeanor. If you didn't do any of the studying, I'd recommend picking up some of these, as I consider them life changing.

For context, I am a non-US IMG.
My experience was overall satisfactory. First 3 blocks were good, free 120 repeat questions, nbme images (like that split up kidney that was repeated in almost every nbme) and smaller stems.
4th block onwards things began to become a bit lengthy and convoluted.
5th and 6th blocks seemed tougher and i think at this point i was getting a bit tired so i wasn't fully able to look at all the options and eliminate them with 100% certainty. The graphs and pictures here were new.
For the 7th block I pumped myself up a bit and reminded myself that after this one I would've conquered a beast of an exam so I had to give my 100%. Questions were still the same level as the previous few blocks but I had the energy, so the tough ones were derivable (not all ofc)
Communication questions were easy and the options were quite far apart so you could figure out the answer. However, there were atleast 2 questions which had very close 2 options. (I hope I got them right lol)
I have seen some recent test takers mention about the high number of vitamins related questions. My form however did not have two many. Probably just 2-4qs.
Biostats and pharmacokinetics related calculation questions were some 2-4. (tip- the numerator and denominator are probably gonna be divisible with each other, so if you're getting that, it's more likely the answer- basically you wouldn't have the need to use the calculator)
No video questions in my form, 2 audio questions. I did not listen to the audio. I first read the stem and expected a certain finding and then listened to the audio to confirm my answer.

Greetings,
This thread is an extension to the broad discussions started on Β«The State Of The Β£4.5m Midfielders or Β«The State Of The Β£5.5m MidfieldersΒ».
Viewer discretion is advised as these threads will contain stats and my personal uneducated interpretation of them.
I have been working for this one edition, The State Of The Β£6.5m Midfielders, for some more time than I anticipated at first. It was supposed to drop just before GW7, didn't make it in time, stats became outdated and I had to start over to include the GW7 results (although not many). Now it should have came before GW8, but Reddit spam filters have happened. These stuff are quite time-hogging, and this one even more so than the other because of the noticeable pool of players taken into consideration. Uhmm so chile~ anyways, yeah, here it is.
Value. It goes without saying that pursuing the best value for the price paid is an important aspect of this game. Luckily, there are plentiful good value players floating around in the Β£6.5m price bracket.
Is Raphinha essential? Should we start punting on Barnes and Maddison?
Stick around. For perhaps obvious reasons, the purpose of this thread is to look mainly at the attacking output of the players, in terms of possible Assists & Goals. I'm a simple man -- I can't calculate BPS or pretend I can or make calculated guesses on it, and neither do I think this is 'the most efficient' way going forward.
Let's dive.
There will be three tables:
I understand that this can get overwhelming quick for some of you and for what is worth, my honest recommendation is to take it easy and look column by column. There is a legend down below a bit explaining every weird combination of letters used.
I don't own any of the stats. Most of the stats used here are from FBRef, StatsBomb or SofaScore. Props to the teams behind these services for the impressive databases.
If there's any mistake in presenting the accurate values, I take responsibility for it.
I received criticism in-before for not divulging^^? how many points
