Rashid Latif on Twitter; Pakistani Cricket Team's players are going to U-19s. U-19s are going to U-16s, U-16s to U-13s & U-13s back to their mothers' laps. For God's sake PCB, correct the ages & don't destroy by working with crooked diploma doctors, don't make a joke of yourself.

Dark fishing spider males self-sacrifice after mating to give nutrients to their offspring. Scientists did not see similar benefits when females were allowed to consume a cricket in lieu of a male after sex which suggests there is something special about the nutrients coming from the males.
Explain the appeal of test cricket to me
I am an American that discovered cricket while visiting South Africa during the 2011 World Cup. I try to watch as much cricket as I can given the time differences between the States and the countries where cricket is actually televised. Given that I was introduced to ODI cricket it has always been my preferred format. That said, I am perplexed by the appeal of test matches from a spectators perspective. I think I understand the importance of test matches from a fans perspective (the history, the bragging rights) but find it hard to imagine watching that much of any sport especially given that it appears to be much slower.
So test match fans, please enlighten this uninformed foreigner on the ways in which you joyfully digest countless hours (days) watching test matches.
Edit: Thanks for all the passionate and descriptive responses.
Edit #2: I really want to thank all of the folks that constructed incredibly thoughtful responses to this post. The love people have for the game is incredible. I am already sold on investing some time into test cricket. Y’all are awesome fans.
