Even "mild" Covid cases are a huge problem, and hospitalizations are rising anyway.

One of the debates that's been going on (at least in broader media landscape) is whether cases are a meaningful number anymore. You have outlets claiming that most of the cases out there are mild, and that it's fearmongering to report on hundreds of thousands of people infected every day at a time when death rates remain mostly unchanged or are even in decline.

The "real" figure they say we should focus on is hospitalization or deaths, because who cares about "mild" cases?

Dealing with a sick loved one has given me perspective on this line of argument: the pandemic has desensitized us to mass suffering and is now moving the goalposts, and yet the ball still scores in the net anyway. While it is true that cases are not as reliable a figure, this isn't for the reasons people think, and hospitalizations show a much scarier picture than cases.

A Few Thoughts on So-Called "Mild" Covid Cases

I have a sick family member at home, and I guess you could say it's a "mild" case. They're managing symptoms with medication and they still do all life activities normally. They don't need help to eat or go to the bathroom, they still sleep in their own bed with only occasional interruptions, and so on. They're not in the hospital, let alone the ICU. We aren't even in "We're worried they'll worsen and we'll have to go to the hospital." territory. In short, they're the kind of case we're being told to ignore.

Except, unlike some op-ed writer who can patronize an anonymous audience from the comfort of their opinion page, I have to actually see the toll of a "mild" coronavirus case on my family every single day.

Being sick still sucks even if it doesn't hospitalize or kill you. Why have we forgotten that?

You know how one common dismissal of the pandemic was/is "It's just the flu"? Well, let's actually talk about the flu for a moment. It is the archetypical "seasonal" illness that we just accept as a fact of life. Pre-2020, it was estimated to wipe out a whole town worth of people every year (40,000 deaths), while infecting dozens of millions more.

Almost everyone of us has gotten the flu at some point, but did any of us dismiss our own suffering, all the headaches, muscle soreness, coughing, fever, sneezing, nausea, or chest pressure (among other symptoms) just because it wasn't so bad we had to be hospitalized?

Hundreds of thousands of non-hospitalized, living people is still hundreds of thousands of people suffering and fighting through illness, whose qualit

Conquering Flatlines

I promised some fellow retainers some tips on overcoming flatlines, turned into a whole ass write up. Hope it resonates with you fellas!

Picture this - you finally muster up the willpower to cut out PMO and start getting your life dialed in. You stop wasting time on the interwebz, start pursuing some actual goals of yours and diving into real hobbies, and of course, cut out the frantic frenzy of porn and masturbation you’re accustomed to.

For the first few weeks, you feel great. Tons of energy, tons of motivation, everything seems to be clicking. And then one day, you wake up and just feel kinda β€œblah”. Things seem less exciting. You’re less interested in your hobbies and quest for self-mastery. The ladies no longer seem as interested, and that spark of confidence you found seems to have died out.

What gives? You were doing everything by the book, what kind of cruel trick is this?

The Flatline/PAWS Phenomenon

In the retention community, you’ve hit what’s called a flatline. In the world of addiction and recovery, this same phenomenon is known as PAWS - Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome. Both are marked by varying degrees of anhedonia (loss of a sense of pleasure), mood swings, depression, lack of libido, irritability, brain fog, even sleep issues.

In short, life becomes dull, gray and more difficult and annoying than usual. Fun stuff.

Without going into too much detail, what’s happening is your brain is trying to readjust its neurochemistry and come back into balance after you’ve taken away its drug of choice - whether that drug is cocaine, alcohol, opiates, or porn and masturbation. You’ve been overstimulating the reward circuitry in your brain, and now that you’ve taken away that stimulus, you’re left feeling at a loss.

PAWS usually comes in waves or cycles, for a few months up to a few years, depending on the severity of the addiction and a person’s personal biochemistry. The same will apply to flatlining, although I’d venture to guess that for most of us it will be milder than for those with serious drug addictions - though your mileage may vary.

It’s important to remember that if you hit a flatline, it won’t last forever. It’s also important to remember that when that flatline ends, you may hit another one in a few days, weeks or months. Your brain is readjusting, and you have to be patient considering the years of abuse you put it through.

They took down the Aztec painting

The above painting, depicting Jesus' fictional coming to America, an Aztec pyramid in the background and Lamanites in stereotypically "Aztec" clothing, proudly hung in my childhood ward for as far back as I can remember.

Recently, when entering the building for the first time in years, I saw that this picture was no longer on either side of the chapel. It was simply gone.

This ties into Mormonism's ongoing attempts to distance itself from Mormonism. They are no longer proud of the Book of Mormon, the impossibility of which proves an embarrassing hangnail for TSCC, which increasingly attempts to fool investigators into thinking it's a run of the mill protestant denomination.

When searching for this painting, the first result for it was a crackpot site saying "Lost city of Atlantis found" showing how disowned it is by TSCC.

In place of this painting hangs a very generic one of Jesus by a boat, as you might see in any other church, giving no indication of any scripture unique to Mormonism.

This is probably also because TSCC once moved the Book of Mormon goalposts from Palmyra New York to Mesoamerica, simply because they at least had cities, only for Mesoamerica to show no evidence of the Book of Mormon, and how it couldn't have possibly happened.

Now, TSCC's official stance is that has no official stance. Any debate is delegated to the nondoctrinal musings of BYU "scholars" and shell sites like Fairmormon, TSCC gently pushing members in that direction for answers, while distancing themselves from any criticism of those answers.

TSCC can't have an Aztec painting because it would mean taking a stance on the ever elusive setting of the Book of Mormon. TSCC can't even have a painting of Jesus visiting the Lamanites, because it would tip off investigators that they're Mormons. TSCC can't have a painting of Jesus visiting the Lamanites because, ultimately, they know it didn't happen.

Was told β€œwhen you’re holding the little bundle you won’t care what you’re losing”

Hi folks, this isn’t a massive row or anything between my partner and I, but I feel a bit despairing about it.

Last night, I was having a conversation with him about the job interview I’d had, for a senior position. I’ve been offered a junior role, which is tbh a step back in my career, so I’m thinking I’ll just keep going for senior roles until I nail the interview. I explained that I need to think about my career, bc in the event I/we are ready to have kids, I’d like to have a decent career level to go back to. I think that’s reasonable, no? Kids cost money as well, as do larger homes. On the whole, my partner seemed to accept this but was pushing the whole β€œwell they can’t penalise you for having kids” argument. Technically, no that shouldn’t happen. But it does, to women more than men. In my mind, I’d like a senior position now, so I can be in senior management in 3-4 years and feel I’ve met a safe position for me to be proud and happy to have a break. Maybe I am being silly? It seemed like my partner didnt agree on the basis of a woman’s career - just that a bigger income would be beneficial.

The conversation moved on and I was saying about the other worries myself and my friends hold on pregnancy. We all exercise regularly to different degrees for mental health, and we all get a lot of our self confidence from our size and routine, some more so than others in my friendship group. If you’re pregnant, you can put on a lot of weight - for myself, I really struggle when I hit a U.K. 12. My stomach is uncomfortable, jeans dig in when eating - this aspect worries me. We’ve all said we’re worried about what we will look like. I’ve always said to him I’d want a personal trainer ready for post pregnancy (not to snap back ridiculously, but to give me an hour alone with an adult Qualified to help me exercise). He’s always gone sure ofc. But last night he seemed to think that was a more flexible request of mine. β€œHmm, but it may need to wait if the baby wouldn’t take a bottle from me?” Am I just vain? Do I not get the right to have an hour booked in for just me?

My body being given to someone else, my schedule or ability to see a PT revolving around another person. I got severe jealousy when I left my previous role and my partner was getting to go to work and interact with people. Covid and having him home so I can at least overhear office work and chats has helped me loads. I’m 99% confident that being a SAHM would crush my spirit. Id want to go back to wo

I have witnessed so much shady shit over the past two years. If this isn't a massive conspiracy or psy-op then there's a crap load of stuff that needs some explaining beyond biased, half-baked, mealy mouthed Fact Checks. I want answers.

Why the fuck were there videos coming out of China showing people keeling over on the street and dying during the early months of 2020, and how come that shit NEVER happened anywhere else?

How did nurses have the time to choreograph, rehearse and perform elaborate dance routines in hospitals for Tik-Tok if they were "so overwhelmed"?

The tests themselves are so fucking faulty and prone to false positives/negatives. Also, Kary Mullis, the inventor of the PCR test and a major critic of it, dying RIGHT BEFORE 2020 is a bit fucking suspect.

Tiffany Dover. Where is she? Where the FUCK is she? She's dead, obviously, but the fact that she's been swept under the rug is so fucking disturbing to me, alongside all the other vax injuries and deaths. Remember all those posts on the Covid Vaccinated sub that got deleted by the mods? All the users that got banned for reaching out and asking for help?

Two weeks to flatten the curve and the constantly shifting goalposts and broken promises.

Counting people who died WITH the virus in the official death statistics. WHY?

The organized attack on NNN (and similar subs) that resulted in it getting unfairly banned, whilst subs like HCA remain on this fucking cess pit of a website.

All the bot accounts on social media (Twitter and Reddit in particular) parroting the exact same stock phrases and messages. Likewise, all the posts on the front-page of Reddit that are artificially upvoted and awarded into the fucking stratosphere to push the narrative.

"Mostly peaceful yet fiery" BLM protests being championed by the MSM and even touted as having slowed the spread of the virus, whilst anti-lockdown protests and the like are vilified (when they're actually reported on instead of being flat-out ignored) as super-spreader events.

All the memory holing and gaslighting going on with the jabs, masks, lockdowns etc. Mass censorship in general.

All the links, ties and references to "Great Reset", "New Normal", "Build Back Better", etc. from governments around the World, acting in borderline lock-step with each other.

I could go on but you get the point.

Back in 2020 I was of the opinion that this was all the culmination of a narcissistic, brain-dead, social media dependant society caving in on itself (and that's still true and that culture of stupidity and fart-sniffing virtue-signalling certainly allowed these cunts to carry out their plans) but now I can't help but look at the bigger picture and see that something far more sinist

1.2 About Me

There's not much that I'd want to share outside of me being competitive to the bone, as for my Blitz career, it goes something like this...

EARLY: I started off 4 years ago in a regional Balkan clan called Gastrabajteri [GABA], here with the help of some seasoned players at the time I learned the basics of the game and got familiar with how things work. Following some internal drama I left the clan.

MIDLLE: Shortly after leaving my previous clan joined another Balkan one called Equites [EQU], here I matured as a Blitz player following the words of very experienced tournament players and shot-callers from Immortals Requiem [IMMOR]. A long run with them culminated in some great season results after which people slowly stopped playing or left to join other clans, I was one of the people in the latter group.

LATE: Coupled with a toon/tourney partner I joined ST1NG, a powerhouse rival to The Legion [LGN] at the time. My stay with them was not long

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

The Sun Never Sets On Citadel -- Part 3

Part 1 | Part 2

First, apologies for the delay. This took a lot longer, but for good reason - so read on. Also, mental health is important, ape gang, we live in interesting times. Take care of yourselves.

Note: DRS IS THE MUTHAFUCKIN' WAY. I've moved 100% of my personal shares to ComputerShare. Don't let all of the Citadel talk distract you from how effective DRS is (not financial advice - just some wild shareholder shouting)

#Preface

##Apes, this one is long. But the payout is W I L D.

This is a 2 part piece that aims to tie together Citadel's different operations and strategies and present why and how this ties to $GME. It continues into Part 4 (guys I'm sorry I'm a giant fucking tease). It's not financial advice.

I am citing excellent DD from other Apes. I’ll give credits in the comments because tagging them won’t notify them. Everyone's DD has its own merits but also contains another piece of the puzzle.

So... you ready?

#3.0 Introduction

The price of $GME is artificial. Prior posts have shown how wholesale Market Makers (MMs) – Citadel and Virtu – have captured a controlling stake of the securities marketplace. Citadel’s assets and risk appetite gives them a chokehold on the exchanges, and offers them influence at the heart of the market: prices. However, by solely supporting so much volume, Citadel is creating functional dependencies which only they can fulfill. There is no single firm that can compete with their offering and volume – for better or worse.

Buckle up.

#3.1: The Throne Room

Put yourself there. You are in the Citadel Securities trading desk with all their tools at your disposal, and your entire career is on the line. A quote pops on the screen:

  • 420 shares of $DOOK at $6.969 – bid
  • Wat do?

This is where our journey starts. You are the maestro, and all of Citadel’s actions are like keys on a piano.

  • First you decide the "where" of the trade:

  • exchange/lit venue

  • dark pool

  • internalize

  • Then you decide:

I'm holding shares in this company. The fact is this one like so many others are being manipulated by algos. There is a person or company that doesn't want the competition of AABB. You can see the shorting activity as it trades very close to AMC and GME on the trend lines most days. An article came out stating this company is a scam when they were trading around .64. That article was a complete lie. Now the exchange is live where they will bring in a ton of revenue and the stock goes down. Every time AMC and GME release great news or earnings the stocks go down. I'm not an expert on the market nor an advisor of any kind, but I can see manipulation when it's obvious. Give them some time and this stock will be worth a hell of a lot more than .05 and a hell of a lot more than .20 it's trading at today. Again not advising, but I'm in this one for the long term.

Day one, here we go.

Ok. Well. Day one, then.

I don't know how well I belong here. I am not heavily addicted (yet). I drink (drank?) once a week, on the weekend, getting as trashed as I could. And for the last, uhh maybe a year, I tell myself every Sunday, that was it. That was the last time. And then Saturday rolls around and I give in again. (literally just picture bilbo baggins saying "after all, why shouldn't I?" and that's me in the days leading up to the weekly binge, despite telling myself at the start of the week that I don't need to drink. Or even want to.)

People in my family have issues with addiction. I know I'm at higher than average risk. So I thought once a week would mean I'm safe from addiction - after all, it's not every day, right? And yet alcohol invades my thoughts so much that even if it's only once a week, I'm honestly scared that it's some kind of addiction already.

Even if it's just 'once a week', I'm fooling myself into thinking it's okay because it's only one binge. And yet if I add up how many drinks go into that one binge, it's still more than would be healthy even if I spread them out through the week. If one of my patients told me they were drinking like I was, I'd ask them to consider cutting down. Hell - I already have anxiety and depression and a bunch of neurological issues that absolutely aren't being helped by drinking!

And - I'm losing precious time to being oblivious. It's extra cost, extra calories, a few nights of shitty sleep and lost days to feeling ill. All for a few hours of medicated bliss - that doesn't even feel that good! Eugh!!!

So, something needs to change. Another sunday, another promise to myself, except this time I'm going to do things differently. So I'm here. IWNDWYT. I need some accountability, and I need to stop disrespecting myself so much that I break my promise to quit every week. This Time I Mean It.

...And, hopefully, IWNDWYTW (this week!)

If it's allowed, I'm going to try and check in on this post through til next sunday (as my first goalpost) to re-acknowledge to myself that I'm doing things differently now.

Sorry for the big ramble, I've been lurking in here for a long time and I look up to you guys a lot. Thanks for reading this if you've made it this far.

Cody Rhodes is exposing how moronic the IWC really is

Cody Rhodes is hardly the first face wretler to get booed by fans that want to be cool by doing the opposite of what is supposed to happen.

Far bigger stars and far better booked faces were booked for even less of reasons than Cody.

Let's not forget that the wrestler with most success outside of the sport started his career by getting literal death chants of "Die Rocky Die" (which may be German for The Rocky The)

Cena made a career out of people booing him. Roman was the latest to be the victim of people doing it.

Almost every face was not really deservedly booed, and it was more of "Oh, I want to boo him and I'll come up with a reason later"

And then people started coming up with bullshit reasons "Oh, he's too green", "Oh he can't wrestle", "Oh he is overpushed", "Oh he never puts anyone over"

This has been going on since the "smart fans" became a thing. Started way over in the golden era (perhaps earlier), and with the internet becoming a mainstream thing, it took over wrestling arenas.

And I hate it.

For one - it's moronic and it makes no sense.

No matter what you try to say the people will come up with another thing you can't explain.

"He's too green" - No, he's not, he wrestled for many years.

"Oh yeah, I meant...he..umm..he has few moves only!" - No, here's a list of every move he did in the last year on TV. He is doing the same as your other favorite wrestler.

"Oh...umm..I meant...he is overpushed!" - He hasn't held a title in a year

"Oh..I meant..umm...he never puts people over!" - He literally put over a star at the last PPV

"I meant...um...Vince loves him!!!" - ...how do you make this a serious legitimate argument for booing the person???

Rocky, Cena, Hogan, Roman and others went through these phases over and over again.

It's literally moronic and it makes no sense. It defies all truth.

Cody Rhodes is the latest person to be booed and to force the fans to take over the show and ruin it.

A guy that hasn't had a title challenge, that put over few people and has definitely more moves (and more legitimate-looking moves) than half the roster is booed because..."WELL JUST BECAUSE, SHUT UP!"

But, here's how Cody Rhodes exposed the moronic side of the IWC.

Have you heard of "Too Fast Too Fuego" ? link

Too Fast Too Fuego is the team of.... Cody Rhodes in a mask and Fuego Del Sol.

It feels like my household is so disconnected from.....everyone

I am a first time poster, so please bare with me. Sorry if this was not the correct place to post this.

This was my (32F) second year without my family for the holidays and I can't decide if I am hurt or numb. This is about more than the holidays though (or I would have put this in the holiday thread). I feel like my family and I have lost so many throughout the pandemic.

My cousin ( I'll refer to him as R). I do not care about losing R (to be clear), but R has spread Q bullshit to his entire household (sex rings, covid is a hoax created to control the world, etc). My aunt, her husband, his younger brother. None are vaxxed. Even after R was in the hospital with severe covid. Side note: He even made claims while in the hospital that he did not have covid, it was all a hoax, etc. I have so much respect for the nurses that took care of him because I don't think I would have been able to do it.

My grandparents. Not because they are Q. In fact, they are vaxxed and stay low contact, but they live with another aunt of mine. I believe cousin R's Q rhetoric has crept its way into this household as well. That aunt takes her 2 grandchildren every weekend and the children both recently contracted covid (kids and their parents unvaxxed) and exposed that entire household. Both of my aunts live across the street from one another, so my grandparents are constantly at risk. Which means my household could not see my grandparents during the holidays.. again. Don't worry, even with exposure, my family had a large get together.

My mother. Who is a nurse and vaxxed, but takes NO PRECAUTIONS. Went to my families get together and exposed herself. Why? Because it's easier to pretend like this is not an issue so that she can see her sisters and parents. You would think she wouldn't be so naive seeing that she had to comfort her best friend of 50 years when her best friends husband died of covid. Now my children will not see their grandmother for the holidays. I also believe she may slowly be falling down the Q rabbit hole. Last time I saw her she was reading daily updates about the Iraqi Dinar. When I asked about it, she told me she was reading about currency and this was a new interest. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe this is part of the "great reset" theory. Where people invest in foreign currency (the dinar being popular) because it is going to "make them millions". I know this scam has been around for some time, but it seems to be popular with Q?

My child

These aren't dad jokes...

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.

If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.

Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
