A list of puns related to "Georgian name"

Give us all a good laugh.
I believe it's a georgian/soviet film. I believe it was made in the 1960s but not sure. A guy from what I believe to be Russia travels to Georgia and he ends up in a remote area where people still observe and dress in the olden ways. While he's there they're singing and dancing.
I believe when they speak in Georgian it's dubbed into Russian
I wanted to show what I have so far for a lang without a name yet (Awur for now) that borrows heavily from Georgian grammar while trying to imitate the sound and aesthetic of Lezgian.
The phonetic inventory is therefore... rather... large:
Labial | Alveolar | Palatal/Palato-Alveolar | Velar | Uvular | Pharyngeal | Glottal |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Nasals | m | n | ||||
Liquids | l r | |||||
Approximants | w | j |
Front | Mid | Back |
---|---|---|

Low | รฆ |
The phonotactics have not been decided yet; I'm still trying to figure out exactly what it is Lezgian allows; currently Awur's is essentially just (C)V(r)(C).
I have only decided on 4 cases so far: absolutive (lemma), oblique, pegative, and ergative. The oblique is marked by -a (which often triggers syncope of front unrounded vowels in the stem), the pegative by -(i)n, and the ergative by -na.
In the pegative and ergative, an epenthetic "thematic vowel" emerges between the stem and the suffix; the thematic vowel is usually an echo of the vowel in the previous syllable, with two main exceptions: 1) if the final consonant in the stem is labialized and its final syllable's vowel is high, then the thematic vowel is always /u/ or /y/ depending on front/back vowel harmony and the consonant is delabialized, and 2) some ergative forms athematic/zero-grade, having no thematic vowel; the corresponding pegative forms always use /i/ as their thematic vowel.
Additionally, I have stolen a phonological alteration from Lezgian in which word-final ejective stops become voiced (with the exception of /qโ/, since /ษข/ does exist in the phonology), so e.g. *[tโษpโ] โ [tโษb], but the underlying /pโ/ emerges in the ergative [tโษpโunษ].
Combined with marking the plural with -(V)d(i), and here are some examples of inflected nouns:

Hey everyone. Iโm writing a story that takes place during the 1992 Abkhazia conflict and I want to be as true and authentic as possibleโitโs not solely the focus of the story; it is the setting that serves some indirect thematic importance. So it would be very helpful if you could all come up with Georgian, Russian, and Abkhazian names. Just throw some that you know or found cool.
HI Everyone - แแแแแ แฏแแแ แงแแแแแก,
I'm writing a comic book (for fun) about a Georgian character and need some help with names, more specifically, his surname or family name. Something old that might have fallen out of use in the modern era but carries that quintessential Georgian vibe to it. The character I'm writing about is a British born, ethnic Georgian from a Georgian father and Russian mother. (As a result, he speaks both Russian and English). The plot is that he's wanting to return to Georgia to reconnect with his routes. Can any one help?
In south Russia there are many of these people and they have unique names like Levan, Levon, Davit, Giorgi or Zhiorzhi, Zurab, Nikoloz, Nokoghos, Vazgen, Xachatur, Varuzhan or Varoujan, Avtandil or Avtandyl
It is very obvious when you meet man from Caucasus like Armenian or Georgian. The name stands out. Are there more names you can share here thanks
I really didn't know where to ask this on Reddit and figured I would ask here.
I've always wondered if the -dze ending of family names in Georgia had anything to do with the Persian -zadeh family name ending.
Thanks
Herschel, the astronomer who discovered the sixth planet in solar system. He used to named this planet as "Georgian" in honor of King George III of England.
If we still called it Georgian,
The Gottfried Galle would called the eighth planet(Neptune) as William in honor of William IV of Prussia.
Therefore, the Clyde Tombaugh would called the ninth planet(Pluto, no more planet now) as Hoover in honor of America president. But I believe he would renamed it as Roosevelt sooner or later

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, GEORGIA? WILLIAM? HOOVER/ROSSEVELT?
Late last year I was sitting on my couch and received a text message from a volunteer with a Democratic Party affiliated organization, asking if I'd ever considered running for office. I had, but the process seemed daunting. Many people stepped up to help me navigate the process, and here I am!
My main concern after qualifying in early March was obviously COVID-19, but in recent days that's been overshadowed by the protests against police brutality, institutional racism, and the stalled progress on equality in America.
My personal beliefs are pretty progressive, but I live in an exurban district. I've spent a lot of time thinking about how best to represent the wishes of the people of Holly Springs, Canton, and Woodstock while staying true to myself.
I believe that the Georgia Assembly has been dominated by Republicans who are more concerned with the policies of the national Republican Party, conservative national think tanks, and conservative media. You can see it in legislation like the assaults on women's control of their bodies & so-called religious "rights" bills. It goes farther back, though, even to so-called "right to work" laws that hurt Georgians while making national and international special interests wealthy beyond their wildest dreams.
I appreciate your time and I'll be here for at least a couple hours answering your questions!

Edit: (3 p.m. Eastern) - Thanks everybody for the great questions! I hope that I've earned some votes today. If you haven't already voted, please vote in the Primary on Tuesday, June 9th!! I'll be looking at this thread and checking my messages off and on, but I need to go mow the lawn now. :)

A crucial part of its purpose is to minimize animal exploitation in the US ag system, though it isn't explicitly stated in the amendment's text (because it would never make it).
