How could this not be #1?
Sixteen years after the first volume, Steve recorded and released the sequel to Genesis Revisited. However, this time Steve dramatically scaled back the changes he would make to the songs. Thatβs not to say the tracks on this album sound exactly like the originals though, as almost every song has a few subtle changes, not to mention the plethora of guest vocalists and musicians that accompany them. The album is split into 2 discs, with the first consisting of the Gabriel era tracks, and the second with the Collins era.
The album kicks off with βThe Chamber of 32 Doorsβ, one of my favorites from The Lamb, with an added nylon string intro. Nad Sylvanβs vocals suit the song well, and I think heβs able to convey the emotion needed for a track like this. This one really sets the stage for the rest of the album, with its clear and pristine production, loud guitars, and quieter bass and drums. And while I do believe that the near perfect production does take a little bit of magic out of the songs, itβs nevertheless great to hear them in this quality.
Then comes side 2 of Foxtrot. βHorizonsβ is one of the few completely identical to its original counterpart, but βSupperβs Readyβ does have a few surprises within. First of all, five different singers sing on it, including Mikael Γ kerfeldt of Opeth, Steve Hackett himself, and Philβs Collinsβ son Simon, with each adding something unique to their respective sections. During the Apocalypse in 9/8 organ solo, Steve actually plays a small portion of it on guitar, which is only fair, since with Genesis he was stuck playing the same riff for five minutes straight, and itβs nice to see the guitar receive a more active role. But the real highlight is the outro solo. Steveβs playing is absolutely mind blowing. He unleashes a flurry of guitar tapping, shredding, and sweep picking that never fails to send chills down my spine, and somehow made one of the most satisfying endings to any song ever even more rewarding.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Hi, I'm 25 years old and I've always been a Genesis fan ( collins era). in 2020 I listened to the whole discography and now I absolutly love the Gabriel era. I know my chances are slimm for seeing Genesis live. But I saw this gig.
Is it wourth it?
There has been a long time importation of blame and excuse into the responses by Adam and Eve to God's question. When the text is read as a bare bones honest and complete response by each, it passes the test for straight forward, clear, complete communication.
The curses for Adam and Eve are easier to understand if we look at them in the light of their genesis. Adam was made from the earth. One could call the earth his mother. His work in the garden was his joy and delight. All that changes. Now he must wrestle with the soil, fending off the bumper crop of volunteer thorns and thistles so he can coax from her the necessities of life.
Similarly Eve was made from Adam's rib. Initially she was his help meet. Now she will feel more like a slave under the domination of her husband. Her unique and delightful contribution to the family will now be characterized as pain and labor. The final indignity is she will be inextricably drawn to the source of her troubles
My third observation is that the angel with the flaming sword was placed at the entrance to prevent the humans from gaining access to the tree of life. This solution, however has a loophole. The tree is not destroyed or removed. As long as the tree exists, eternal life is theoretically possible. If only the impediment posed by the flaming sword could be solved and one were willing to endure its consequences, eternal life might be attainable.

I know some one on here has to have played this game. This is still my favorite game of all time but I've never met anyone else's who even knew it. Idk if it was just obscure or what but I even got a GameCube I think it was just to play the 3rd one. Then I think it got switch to PS3 or 4 and they completely changed the game play and it was absolute trash. So I ended up going and discovering and installing roms. Then I went and got a Game Boy Advanced (maybe) after learning they came out with a GB version. Idk why I love this game so much but I just do. Hopefully I'm not alone...hmmm Ima go check the Playstore....
For past 25 years, money was tight, so always ended up buying $200 (or less) propane BBQ grills, which all have quality issues after a couple years. Much more financially stable now, and getting older so don't want to have to patch together a failing grill every few years. Willing to pay $500 to $1,000 on a LP grill.
At this point, planning to buy a Weber Genesis II E-315 (under $600 now) based on the following factors: quality build, shelf area on either side, heat retension, very even cooking over entire surface, 10 year warranty.
So is there another make/model I should be looking at that's a better bang-for-the-buck? Don't need a side burner or stuff like searing stations or rotisseries. I realize I'm not getting twice as much grill for $600 compared to a $300 grill, but just sick of dealing with corroding burners and stuff.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Might even splurge for an E-335 (now under $800
Hi all, just curious if anyone remembers a server that use to be run on NWN before EE, called Genesis II, it was a sandbox survival server, based in the wooden age (cavemen), with a tech tree, crafting, base building and concept progression for advancing through the ages (Wooden age - Stone Age - Iron Age), it had both an RP and a casual server and a unique system where players could play one of the 9 god's (DM approved) along with an afterlife system. Well to cut to the chase, those who do remember it, I'm one of the old DMs and God player and I'm looking at restoring this server for EE. Ive been in contact with the servers creator since the early days and even helped with some parts of its design (albeit very minor and most concept and DM story lines), well recently I discussed the return of the server with him. Whilst he is very busy these days with life, he has agreed it would be great to see this server reborn and completed, as the stone age and iron age never got fully implemented. So whilst the creator will be involved in the background, I'm looking to form a team to help convert this module to EE and finish the last two ages.
hey everyone, i currently have a 2010 ish genesis with front facing controls, side burner and sear station.
i found a genesis ii e315 (without sear station and side burner) for less than what i could probably sell my genesis for in my area.
would this be an upgrade? ive never used the side burner and honestly cant really tell the difference the sear station makes
Hi again :) This time with second rulebook there was less translation to do (less examples and untranslated parts) and less errors in translation. And using created design from first rulebook I was able to speed up process.
So, Core Rulebook II Revisited - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1t3fovgwUYu75qoF-bkaqWO4d3eqFZx5Z/view?usp=sharing

What was done?
Β· Again, created full translation of original book in same style/design.
Β· Used as much of original Sword World Translation Project translation to keep it consistent and to ease the work needed.
Β· Translated missing parts of the book: introduction, sample characters, credits.
Β· Translated charts, maps and illustrations using HQ sources.
Β· Corrected errors in existing translation:
Future plans β Core Rulebook III. I started working on other books, but I realized that working on them without understanding of Core Rulebook II would be difficult to do. So, I will be editing/learning this Rulebook.
Bonus β Here is my dictionary that Iβve created while translating to help with game terms and to keep them consistent - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YOIbOYcXdfu8RdhBbFFy22sj6_Sxw0KX/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=114413763960134087117&rtpof=true&sd=true For now, there are mostly CR I and CR II term. In future I plan to update it.
P.S. Big thanks to Aniodia! Without his huge work I would not underta
... keep reading on reddit β‘Steve Hackett is the most prolific member when it comes to using the old Genesis materials. His "Genesis Revisited" recordings (along with the concerts themselves) carry the history of the band to today's world while still preserving the delicate "Genesis" sound of it. He specifically plays the albums that he was a part of but other than him, all the other musicians are from his own band.
If you haven't, definitely check out the reinterpretations of some classics! And if you have, I was curious what you guys think about the overall quality of them and whether Steve is doing the right thing performing these recordings?
I know he is credited for vocals on that track but I was not sure if he was actually the deep, distorted voice in that section of "Supper's Ready." I think it would be really cool to hear him singing. Are there any other songs on which his vocal talents are featured?
Does anyone know who does the vocals on track 5 "Dancing with the Moonlit Knight"? It sounds exactly like Peter but it's not him.
