A list of puns related to "Steve Hackett"
The former Genesis guitarist played an epic, 150 minutes set last night at the venerable Salle Pleyel. Accompanied by his band Genesis Revisited, he played the entire Seconds Out live double LP, in sequence as well as excerpts from his solo career. Check out the setlist and hundreds of photos here:

Hey guys, I know Steveβs website didnβt give much info on ticket sale date it only showed βticket link coming soonβ
Oakville Centre for Performing Arts just listed tickets on sale for general public, all tickets are $110
Gonna be a great show from what Iβve heard so far, Iβm stoked.
What I'm talking about. While the song starts without the introduction piano, that isn't unusual as it wasn't much done anyways with Genesis playing live (see, for example, the song in Seconds Out).
However, in Steve's version, or rather this very specific version, after the flute part ends (3:04 on the linked video), instead of the usual piano build up and the following keyboard solo, the song cuts into a sort of jam until it eventually fades in into the guitar solo (5:22).
Why is that the case? Not that I think of this version as bad or anything, but listening to it for the first time has me confused since I was obviously expecting the usual buildup and solo.
Despite being into genesis music for over 20 years Iβve never got the finger out and actually went to a a gig with real members. Seen musical box plenty but tonightβs a first. Anyone else seen them?
Reading through Mike Rutherford's autobiography and watching the Genesis: A History documentary, I came across a few excerpts that were interesting.
"Steve was different.....His real strength was doing the most amazing, unique, quirky,-sounding things on guitar. He brought something to the band that Ant never would have done and I fully appreciated it. But Steve didn't get satisfaction from that- he wanted to be a writer." (The Living Years, Page 90)
"In the old days. we couldn't paint enough pictures on our own: we needed a more of a colour palate which Steve had brought." (The Living Years, Page 161)
"I always felt that Steve's strong point was as a guitarist. Strongest point, I think- more than a writer. I don't know if he really could see that, but he had an original sound, an original way of playing." -Mike Rutherford, Genesis: A History 1991. https://youtu.be/teht3U5Gx4k?t=3033
I think this is Mike making a compliment of Steve's playing ability, but at the same time those comments seem to imply that Steve wasn't the greatest writer. What do you folks think?
In the earlier Steve Hackett biography "Sketches of Hackett" by Alan Hewitt, not much info is given about Steve and Kim splitting up. In the 19th Chapter of the book, the divorce is covered mostly in this paragraph:
"Sadly, his marital relationship saw Steve and his wife leading even more independent existences and they divorced in 2007. Steve was fortunate to have already met Joanna Lehmann who is now his partner: "Fortunately, I met Jo, who has been a wonderful support for my family and me."
Like most divorces, it's a shame to see happy pictures of a past relationship and then realize that said relationship didn't work out. What happened with Steve and Kim? To be fair, I haven't read Steve's new autobiography yet.

Hi.
I've long appreciated Steve Hackett's guitar work in Genesis albums. Not only that, but his interviews and overall demeanour as a human is quite lovely. And I've wanted so badly to jump into his solo work but it kind of seems overwhelming to me (especially seeing as how he's delving into different styles of rock, classical, and even blues).
Is there an "easy" spot to jump into that is more accessible, or should I just start at Voyage of the Acolyte and make my way through?

if you want tell me just one chord of those and i will learn it the rest by myself
