General Register Office Puns

I have been trying to order my great-grandmother’s death certificate as she died unusually young but she died in 1959 and the records just skip 1958 all the way to 1983. Does anyone know why this is?

I will try and keep this as simple as I can (also because I don't fully understand what's happened).

Backstory: My wife (?) and I got married on the 10 of July in England. We had changed the date of the wedding four times due to covid restrictions and not being able to accommodate the entire family. Each time the date was moved via the registrars office and I paid various admin fees. Skip forward to the wedding day - we amend the details with the registrars but the venue was still set as the wrong on (I don't know if this is relevant but I will include in just in case) they assure us they will change this when they return to the office after our wedding.

Wedding goes smoothly and we received our three marriage certificates in the post. 5 days later I receive an email from the registrar saying there has been a 'glitch' in the system and the certificates we have been sent have the wrong entry number (from our previous notice of marriage). They asked us to send back the certificates and we will be sent the corrected ones. 12 days later I receive an email again thanking me for the return of the certificates but the General Registers Office have not yet rectified the issue and thus we must continue to wait.

Is there any legal recourse for this? My wife is in limbo with names - not being able to change her name officially anywhere. We have paid out so many admin fees only for the administration to make a mistake at our expense. Am i overly annoyed about this or should I be seeking some financial reimbursement? I can't find anything online regarding this particular error happening.

Context: during the pandemic a populist Right Wing Government (M5S + Lega) lost a confidence vote and was replaced by an elitist center right Government with ministers positions filled by hard line neo-liberals and even old farts from earlier Berlusconi's cabinets. All this in a constant jubilant coverage by press because no doubts must be raised while the Codiv relief funds are yet to be spent (and also there were major press conglomerate acquisitions by industrial groups).

This is going as well as you can expect:

• Business Safety regulation were lowered
• Public employees were shamed and forced to get to office work
• 75% of new employment is for temporary, low protection positions
• The vast majority of relief help went to businesses (something north of 110 billions for 5 years) and to construction, where also checks and permits were decreased in a country where organized crime infiltration is endemic.

This situation detonated with a newly unveiled tax reform that obviously lowered taxes for the richest so that unions (that here are national) declared a general, national 8 hour strike. The most enraging thing is that this IS NOT the opening news on national newspapers but I think is something you want to know.

The strike was a MAJOR SUCCESS, don't let them divide us, solidarity forever.

I've been trying to find more information about my 2x great grandfather and the only source that might have information about his parents is the marriage record I found listed in the Ireland Civil Registration Index. The index record is view able on various sites (Family Search, Findmypast, Ancestry, etc.) but to see the actual marriage record itself, it looks like I have to request for a photocopy at the General Register Office. Has anyone done this before? Have you been successful if you are requesting from outside of Ireland or Britain? I'm wondering if they'll accept my American credit card.

I need to send some forms to the registers office, other then faxing I don't have a clue how to send it. FYI. I haven't been off campus for an entire year.

I have found a death record on FreeBMD and ordered it from the GRO in the UK. However, my £7 was refunded in full with the reason

"There is no trace of the above mentioned person at the reference you quoted."

The scan on FreeBMD clearly shows the entry exists. Does this mean the death certificate is lost? Is it an error on GRO or FreeBMD? I get no result when I search the GRO website for the entry.

I get the below message when trying to register someone's account to our Office 365 MFA:

"Request failed due to exceeding the number of allowed attempts"

I tried resetting the MFA and it would still come up after having them scan a QR code with the Microsoft Authenticator. I am just wanting to reset that allowed attempts, any ideas?

Why? because this could potentially help you form and build out your resume that will land you a job working as a 1750 for one of many Federal agencies. Hurry, because I dont know how many spots are left, and they tend to close out the registration when filled.

I need some advice how how to slur from the low register up to the high register. In particular, I’m talking about this excerpt from Das Rheingold- https://www.hornsociety.org/wagner/wagner-pdr . Slurring from the low C to the G is causing trouble, it’s hard to shift back to the “high embouchure” to get the G. I can slur from low C to the higher C and usually overshoot in the G in this manner. Any advice?
