A list of puns related to "Galveston (film)"
I really enjoyed these and their dreamy, hazy atmosphere with gritty and tense actions sprinkled throughout.
Any suggestions for books similiar? (I've already read Cormac Mccarthy's other books.
Thanks
"Bright blue Portuguese man o' war have been spotted washing up on beaches this week, and while they look beautiful sparkling in the sun, they pack a horribly painful sting that could leave you suffering your way into 2022."
Anyone seen these before?
Hello! I am doing research on the dolphins in Galveston bay. If anyone would like to contribute it would be great! Have you seen dolphins in Galveston bay? And if you have where? Weβre any of them noticeably different from other dolphins I.E. scaring, marksβ¦
We originally planned on flying into Houston and then driving to Galveston for 4 night long weekend. But we haven't been very overwhelmed with things to do in Galveston. We're worried we will be bored. We have never been to Houston before and very unfamiliar with the areas around it. Anyone have any good recommendations on what to do for a long 4 day weekend vaca? What are your thoughts on Corpus Christi? Austin? We're totally open to driving a couple hours if need be. I guess our plans for the get away is good restaurants, good shopping local, breweries, scenery, walking areas, hiking, bars - entertainment. We are mid 40's
Edit: no kids.
Due to the recent spike in Covid cases, my show this Saturday in Galveston at Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe has been rescheduled to April 29th. Thank you all for you understanding and patience in these uncertain times.
Momma and I went to Galveston. Barefoot, we walked on the beach. She found, to her delight, a sand dollar there, and showed it to me. Laughing in the wind as it blew her dark hair. Seagulls calling. A girl again.
We walked on the promenade. The last time I spoke to Bud, he had been walking it himself, with some friends. The sounds of revelry in the background. Mardi Gras.
We walked hand in hand, still carrying our shoes. Feeling the warmth of the sandy pavement under our feet. No hurry. We felt him walking with us.
Before I begin let me just say for all the cruises I've ever been on with Royal, I've always felt like they looked after me, provided me with the best adventures, were always very friendly, and very professional all the time. Have there been the glitch here and there? The website that can't reload, the cancelled trips due to covid, both of those are no indication of the royal treatment. The food is great, the rooms are clean, the entertainment is fun and all around just glad to say I'm now Diamond +.
This was only a quick 5 day cruise but it was mainly for points to get us to the level.
We were notified the day we got on board that our next Cruise on Vision out of Ft. Lauderdale was canceled. We had booked it with the idea that we would be getting double points but now we aren't. But then RCL in the next few days stated that they would honor the double points if you rebooked.
If you ever have any questions they will pretty much answer you. If you ever have a problem with something they will help. I am disappointed that some people have higher expectations and will complain about anything and everything. I don't know what their problem is and I really don't care. But I've seen them on the ships and I've heard them here. Do I have some issues with some things? Yes I do but they are NOT RCL problems and I will not address them here because it might be you.
Hi all, my partner and I are considering moving to Galveston with our toddler within the next year or so. We currently live in a rural central California beach/farm town. I have some questions:
Hurricanes. I know they happen. How often though? How often do you have to evacuate? Once a year? Once a decade? What should we expect here in regards to storms, property loss, etc?
Would you consider Galveston hispanic-friendly? Are there very many hispanic families in the area? Is Spanish spoken often?
Whatβs the hunting like around Galveston? Long drives inland? Or are there local opportunities? (Deer, pig, birds?)
What are the COVID restrictions like? One of the reasons we want to move is that we donβt want our child growing up in a land of never ending covid restrictions. We donβt want her going to school in a mask and prefer not to have to wear masks in stores.
Would you consider buying a home here a good investment? I see that the island is sinking and of course some scientists believe sea levels will rise. Any thoughts there as far as the long term sustainability of living in Galveston?
Thank you!
Does anyone have any recommendations where we could park? Weβre driving down for a cruise on Liberty of The Seas on February 13th.
Anyone sailed out from Galveston since 2022? We have a cruise booked for end of Feb and I'm wondering what people's experiences have been like
