A list of puns related to "G Unit discography"
Ok so hear me out, the thing that got me extremely intrigued about is that I myself have Seungkwan as my bias and utt, with Wonwoo and Joshua as my bias wreckers. But actually after thinking about it, my favorite unit is actually the Performance unit.
I seriously love all the songs and stages from performance unit, they are always so unique and fun to listen and watch. Not that the other units's songs are bad, of course, but I always find myself enjoying performance unit's songs in the albums the most, aside from the titletracks.
Also, if I had to pick my all time favorite song from SVT out of their entire discography (yeah I know it's hard af xD) I would pick 247, which also happens to be from the perf team hahah. This song just got me hooked the moment I first listened to it and it almost never left my daily playlist since. The ironic part is that when I first listened to it back in 2019 I wasn't all that into SVT yet (just a casual listener), and I srsly thought the song was from the Vocal unit lol
So I was wondering if anyone else have similar pattern as me? hahah I mean, normally in kpop groups I always just naturally gravitate more towards the songs that have my bias(es) in, but SVT srsly has an different impact in me, but in a good way xD
Their title tracks, performances and bsides are all A1!!! I was introduced by them through Uh-Oh and been in love ever since. I love all members but my bias is Soyeon, her rap verses always get me so damn hyped.
Miyeon's voice is so hypnotizing in her verses in POP/STARS by K/DA from League of Legends.
I also love Yuqi's solo single album. All 6 members are fantastic. I think the only song I dislike from them is Last Dance cause it's just so damn boring and I love a good dance song but it doesn't feel like (G)I-DLE at all.
Soyeon's composing and producing gives their tracks and titles a lot of personality not just Soyeon's rap verses.
Disclaimer: A group having 10000 songs doesn't make them better than other groups with 100 songs or make the songs sound good. But it's still an impressive number when put in a perspective. This is basically where the comparison comes from. This also has nothing to do with the quality of music (which is subjective) and shouldn't be used as a reason to look down on other groups.
I think that it's totally normal and fair to consider NCT as a group and compare their discography with other groups when talking about total songs, albums etc.
Why I consider them one group:
The members promote together. They released 2 albums as NCT. Empathy in 2018 as 18 members and Resonance with 2 parts last year as 23 members. And they will release an album this year too! They also have a lot of content together! There are shows like NCT life and NCT Worlds 2.0, Welcome to Sun&Moon, Pick your live mates, AWSAZ and also the NCTmentary. They also perform in music shows and concerts (Beyond Live) together.
Sure they have many members and they work in units most of the time, but the units are still NCT. Each unit has a sound/vibe, but they all still share the "Neo" sound. And so, NCT is no different that all the other kpop groups that release songs and albums in units and still count them in the original groups discography.
Why I think it's fair to compare their discography with other discographies:
Somehow some people think it's some sort of competition and NCT, which have an advantage over other groups because of their concept, are "winning". But this is not the case here. IMO It's fair to compare them to put into perspective how much music the group has released in x amount of time compared to other groups. That doesn't mean that the other groups aren't hardworking or they're "losing". It just means that NCT, which I consider one group, released an impressive amount of music in a short time.
Why I think it's unpopular?
There was a post about how impressively big NCT's discography is for a 5 years old group and I got downvoted for saying that it's fair to compare their discography with other groups discographies and say that it's impressive. So I take it that it is an unpopular opinion among kpop stans on reddit.
Edited for clarity.
Please!
Sup, anyone got some sort of list of all songs of G, with some hidden gems and unpopular songs... Thank you.
Which modern rapper has the better discography?
Won't same size eggs would have different volumes?
I’m desperately trying to find a digital discography so I can listen on my phone reliably. Any help here?
Some people act like (G)I-DLE debuted with Oh my god and only praise the songs during and after Oh my god.
My favorite songs from (G)I-DLE came before Oh my god:
Examples of songs I love:
Uh Oh
HANN (Alone)
I also love DOLLAR, Oh my god while a great song and a fantastic title; it's not the end all to be all of (G)I-DLE.
Hello everyone! Since my Twice Eyes Wide Open survivor just concluded I decided to start a (G)I-DLE discography survivor. (G)I-DLE is my ultimate group and for me there aren't any skips in their discography.
I am sad :(
>!Don't Text Me!< is one of my favorite (G)I-DLE b-sides but it's one of the songs with the most votes??? How can you not appreciate the subdued vibes and the members' beautiful voices??? Jk I respect everyone's taste but still :(
>!Empire!< and >!Idle Song!< are also tied with >!Don't Text Me!< which is okay for me.
Three other songs have also been eliminated which are:
>!Luv U!<. I used to not like it but then I watched this stage and it rapidly grew on me.
>!Relay!<. Makes sense, it's also decent but mid tier in terms of (G)I-DLE quality.
>!Jelly!<. Nooooo it's so underrated, it's Soyeon's third best solo song for me. (After The Loveless and Quit)
For the bias question, Yuqi was first and Minnie was second. Makes sense, they both have beautiful and unique voices.
Hi. I’ve done this before with Red Velvet and Exo. Unlike with Red Velvet and Exo, I only heard a few of the title tracks from (G)I-dle starting with Oh My God. And unlike with Red Velvet and EXO, I don’t know what to expect from this group, and I’m excited to find out!
Post Reviewing: This was a great debut album! It shows off (G)I-dle’s diversity, and showcases what the girls can do vocally and what’s to come for their future releases. I think I already knew that I was gonna love this album from the first two tracks lol.
LATATA - There’s something about their debut song that followed the summery, tropical sound that was huge in 2017, but it still manages to stand out in its own way. If I would’ve gotten into K-pop in 2018, and I saw (G)I-dle debut song for the first time, I would’ve already called it that they’re gonna be something amazing. The song is pretty subdued for their debut, but also kinda feisty(?). Also, the “I love ya,” ad-lib throughout the song and Soyeon’s rap (of course) is addicting! I say I really enjoyed their debut song a lot! 9/10
$$$ - I’m saying this in a good way: WHAT EVEN IS THIS SONG, HOLY SHIT!! At first, it sounds like it’s going to be a rap-heavy song, but then Miyeon just comes in with a cute-ass melody and instrumentals, and what I love about the song is that the chorus is a mixture of badass girl crush and cuteness into one. And then it repeats in the second part of the song. And the warp sound in the bridge? As if this song couldn’t get any more mind-fucked than that. This also reminded me of NCT127’s Sit Down, at least when the intro for the verses start. I just love the craziness yet cohesive production of this song! 9.5/10
Maze - Oh, so this is the song’s instrumentals I keep hearing in K-pop YouTube videos 💀. But in all seriousness, is it me or did the vocal line popped off on this track? Like the whole song was just vocal heaven, and I enjoyed every bit of it. The song has a bit more guitars in it than the previous tracks, and it’s always a nice touch to add to songs. Just like with their debut song, I feel like it gives off a summery sound, and yet it still stands out from all the other tropic songs. Miyeon completely slapped me into another dimension with this song, she was the
... keep reading on reddit ➡And now I’m on the final stages of my journey to (G)I-dle’s discography, wrapping up with the remaining singles. I included the Japanese singles, their fan song I’m The Trend, Dumdi Dumdi, and their promotional song Last Dance. The singles were better than I thought, the only one I was familiar with was Dumdi Dumdi, so listening to these songs were a treat.
Light My Fire - While I was listening to the song, I kept thinking about how well this would’ve fit in 2020 with the whole retro trend that happened. Like stated, it has the funky, retro sound that’s isn’t like any other (G)I-dle song I heard from this point! Everyone stood out to me with this song, especially Miyeon and Soyeon. With this being a Japanese song, I can see why it doesn’t get much attention, but holy shit this song is too good for people to sleep on it! I know the retro trend is dying out, but I would mind (G)I-dle doing something like this in the future. 9.5/10
For You - We got another emotional ballad from (G)I-dle, and feelings are hurt. I definitely love this more than Hear Me, maybe because the chorus stuck out more in this song. Even though I’m not the biggest fan of ballads, I wouldn’t mind if (G)I-dle kept doing them, they sound really good when they’re doing more melancholy songs like Hear Me and Put it Straight. Soojin and Minnie definitely stood out to me because their voices was full of emotions in this song, especially in the chorus. 8/10
Tung-Tung - Oh would you look at that? Another ballad. But here’s the thing; I love how in Tung Tung, it sounds a bit more upbeat than For You, but the lyrics are all about feeling empty in a relationship. And I love how when Soyeon’s rapping, it makes it seem like we’re hearing it from her perspective wanting to fix the relationship, making the rap fast-paced and a bit nervous. Also, I heard Minnie composed this song as well as For You…who the hell hurt this woman?! But overall, the song was pretty nice, the highlights were the lyrics, and the song was minimal, but effective. 8/10
I’m The Trend - I actually debated whether or not I wanted to review this song since it’s a fan song for Nevies, but I went ahead and do it for shits and giggles. The song is actually really good! Like I could see this as an actual song for an album. The beat/instrumental is pretty minimal, but addicting. The best parts are the lyrics, I didn’t expect that many references to their previous songs, and the “Señorita!~~” and Miyeon’s hi
... keep reading on reddit ➡My main criticism of this song is the fact that because of the flow and mood of most of the songs, especially in the first half, they start blending into each other and it feels like i am listening to a 40 minute song. Other than that, for the most part, i think this is a good album but to me is very divisive, the song i like i love and the songs i don't like i don't want to hear again.
Song ranking:
For those who don’t know, SING was on Apple Music like two years ago but with only a couple of there popular songs, they were not really popular international at the time.
However they got removed shortly after. Though today unnoticed there songs were no longer grayed out on my playlist, which means they got reinstated. What’s even better they brought almost there full discography with them. They just did a team transition but man are they great.
They got two songs from the new team, and about 90% of the old teams songs on there.
Honestly it’s about how they incorporate traditional Chinese music into a upbeat/edm style.
Really good give them a try

If u too yung and not familiar with this beef go listen to
Piggy bank (50 cent), Checkmate (Jada) I run NY (Gunit), Problem Child(Jada and Styles), window shopper(50 cent), shots fired (Jada and Styles), death wish (Lloyd banks) and sorry ms jackson (the Lox)
According to the comments i saw regarding this unit and album this is the least popular and i just want to ask, how? how the hell did that happen?. This songs are all great, dont get it twisted, this sounds couldnt be fruther away from the type of music i listen to and yet all of this songs smugled their way into my playlist, Heejin and Haseul really shines for me and like always I LOVE THE INSTRUMENTALS

Now we’re unto I Trust, and this album was an experience on the first listen! I only listened to Oh My God before this, and I considered it one of my favorite titles from (G)I-dle, so I was very excited to hear the b-sides, and they definitely did not disappoint. I guess it’s because I Trust is a lot darker than I Am and I Made, and I tend to lean towards those types of concepts/songs. Needless to say, this album was made for me.
Oh My God - The song that got me into (G)I-dle. I was blown away by the dark concept photos, and the teaser of the chorus drew me in because of The Undertaker vibes I was getting. Even though Oh My God was a little polarizing because of the chorus and line distribution, I enjoyed the dark, sapphic concept from it. Despite what some people feel about the chorus, I think we can all agree that the pre-chorus was very grand and extravagant! No joke, I feel like this was the song that made me realize I love dark concepts. 10/10
Luv U - The hip-hop song of the album; the production of this song is amazing! The clicking sound in the beginning and the dark atmosphere draws me in quickly, the pre-chorus is a complete contrast to the verses with a brighter and softer sound, and comes back to the trap chorus with Soyeon and Yuqi’s “I luv u, luv u, luv u~,” I knew I loved it from the first listen. Also, I love how the live stage outfits are the complete opposite vibe from the song lol. 9.5/10
Maybe - I don’t have much to say about the song, it’s lot more emotional than the two songs, at least in the verses. Can I just say that Minnie’s pre-chorus was literally one of the most sweet-sounding things I have ever heard? I also love the little details in it with the clapping/slapping sounds in the background. I usually give or take beat drop choruses, but (G)I-dle does it in a way that is always tasteful and I will always remember it, Maybe is no exception. The song is pretty simplistic and subtle compare to Oh My God and Luv U, which is a nice stand-out to the album. 9/10
Lion - I still can’t believe this type of song exists, and I mean that in the best way possible. I remember being blown away by this song when I first listened to it. There was just too many good parts of this song: Minnie’s deep voice starting off the song, the chorus’s “Ba, ba, ba~,” Minnie’s high note, Shuhua getting lines, Soyeon’s aggressive and empower
... keep reading on reddit ➡So I decided to add the K/DA songs that involved the (G)I-dle members, and I was surprised that it was only three songs? Unless there’s more that I missed. I decided to add in Uh Oh, seemed fitting since it’s also a girl crush song. But I really enjoyed listening to these songs, they were right up my ally!
POP/STARS - Their debut song, if I’m not mistaken. If it is then it’s one hell of a debut, my draw drop when I saw the neon scene with Akali (Soyeon) and Evelynn (Madison Beer)...it was gorgeous! The song, especially the chorus is addicting, maybe because it’s the way they repeat “down” and “crown.” This is what I’m hoping/expecting aespa continues with on Next Level: a futuristic, vocal-based girl crush song. It will automatically become a top favorites of mine for the year. 9.5/10
The Baddest - Not at me thinking about stanning this group after hearing three songs (I listen to this song last)... I heard somewhere that Akali’s rap rhymed both in English and Korean, which is some serious good writing on Soyeon’s part! There’s a reason why people think she’s one of the best rappers of today’s generation. K/DA has been making consistently great songs, and The Baddest is no exception, and I’m kinda sad it didn’t have a music video lol. But Miyeon, Bea Miller, and Wolfstyla did wonderful as well, the vocals are god-tier, and the way Evelynn (Bea) sings that chorus...I’m in love 😭. 9.5/10
More - My first introduction to K/DA. Well, I heard about them before this song, but this was the song that made me want to check out their future releases. This song radiates “Main Character” energy, and I’m a sucker for those types of songs. When Akali starts the song with the rap, I was speechless and I kept replaying that part. And the bridge was very mellow and majestic. I had this song as my Top 25 K-pop songs of 2020 because it was addicting, fun, and badass! 10/10
Uh Oh - The first song I heard about (G)I-dle, can’t believe it’s been almost two years. I remember asking myself, “Who’s the one with the blonde bob?” when I first saw a glance the music video. I can’t believe I never had the guts to listen to them back then. I really enjoyed the old school hip-hop concept and genre, it fitted them so well! Of course, Soyeon was the stand out since she fits the song to a T, but Minnie and Soojin parts were catchy as well! I’m a sucker for every member singing the chorus and/or the outro as the ending, so I say that was my favorite part of t
... keep reading on reddit ➡Okay, now I’m on their latest album, I burn. Now, I heard many good things about this album, and a couple of people telling me to check it out. So of course, I was very excited to listen to this album and had high expectations for it, and I was not disappointed! With this album, I focused more on the lyrics than I ever did with any discography because I can tell since Alone in Winter that it was some kind of story, so I wanted to pay attention. I can tell this album had a lot of thoughts and care into it.
Hann (Alone in Winter) - Okay, right off the jump, the song was already giving my goosebumps with the grim, piano playing in the intro. I knew I had to look at the lyrics for this song to see some parallels with Hann (Alone). I love how Hann (Alone) was about writing off an ex who cheated and promising it will get better, but Hann (Alone in Winter) shows it’s not that easy; the person is still longing for their lover. It’s also fulfilling that Alone in Winter is in completely contrast with Hann (Alone) with the cold and vulnerable atmosphere, while Hann (Alone) was fiery and confident. Even though I’ll only listen to this song on occasions, I genuinely appreciate and love the production, the contrast, and the lyrics behind this. 9/10
HWAA - When I heard snippets of this song, many compared the chorus to Hann (Alone), and I was one of them lol. But both songs were still pretty different from each other, despite the similarities in melodies with the chorus. I love how this is like the “redemption arc” of Alone in Winter, like I’m in for a story with this album. While Alone in Winter was icy and bitter, HWAA is cold, but it’s a lot more comforting; fitting for the song. My only gripe with the song is the ending, I feel like it could’ve looped again, and then end it. But regardless, it’s still one of my favorite titles from (G)I-dle. 10/10
Moon - A lot more upbeat than the previous tracks, but regardless the lyrics still has some melancholy in them. I can tell throughout the album that this was meant for Minnie, her voice fits the cold and warm tone of this album so far. I was surprised Soyeon didn’t have much lines in this song, let alone have a rap verse. However, her closing off the song was chilling, and I love it! The chorus was definitely my favorite part of my song, it’s just the way the girls say “Moonlight” and repeats it is so addicting. I hardly say this about a b-side, but this is some title track material right here. **9.5/
... keep reading on reddit ➡I meant to post this yesterday, but I was nauseous so I decided to wait until today to post this.
But anyway, the second mini album from (G)I-dle was another solid masterpiece! I know many Nevies really love this album, and I can see why! I was happy to get into this album, and I wasn’t disappointed!
Hann (Alone) - One word: ✨elegance✨ No joke, this may compete with Oh My God as my favorite title track by them, because it’s so damn catchy! I’m not sure how to explain it, but there’s too many good parts with this song. “Do you remember what you said?” The whistling intro, Soyeon’s “Hann!” before the chorus...the chorus, Soojin...everything was beautiful, I enjoyed every moment of this song! I wish I could get into more details about why I love this song, but I can’t lol. 10/10
Señorita - A lot more subdued than the previous title tracks. What I love about (G)I-dle’s music so far is that it brings a “femme fatale” feeling to their songs, and this song best represents it. The occasional “Señorita!” is my favorite part, and the way Yuqi closes off the song with her amazing deep voice is genius! Who knew someone saying “fufu” repeatedly is addicting? I say this is one of those songs where you love it the more you listen to it. 9/10
What’s Your Name - The feels a lot more adventurous than I anticipated. For some reason, I thought it was gonna be a lot softer than this. But that’s not a bad thing, I really love the direction of the song. First off, I want to talk about the beat in Yuqi’s part...JESUS CHRIST I love that part so much! And when the bridge comes in with Soojin and Miyeon is fucking heavenly, I always goes back to that part. What would’ve done it for me if Soojin sang first, then Miyeon, and both of them sing together leading to chorus, ugh that would be god-tier 😩. 9.5/10
Put it Straight - First, incoherent reaction: I...what the f-...how the...huh?
Second, semi-coherent reaction: Okay, I realize I was listening to the Nightmare version of the song, but regardless holy shit, this song put me in an emotional rollercoaster. I was just waiting for something to happen in the intro. I was thinking, “Oh God, something’s gonna happen, and I’m not ready.” And this song was so unsettling in a good way, the only time I wanted to be creeped out. The original version is a lot more melancholy than scary, which both versions fits the depressing lyrics. I’m just still trying to process what I just heard...Anyway, it’s a **9/10
