A list of puns related to "Freedom of expression in Canada"
The posting of a selfie on this sub is an act of empowerment, of speaking truth to the Mormon Cult, and is a significant milestone for many. Unfortunately when a run of selfies shows up it brings out the Selfie Haters. Mods, Please do not change this sub based on the recommendations of the Selfie Haters, they are a vocal very minor minority on this sub, and scrolling past a few selfies will not hurt them.
Suspended govt. officer Ashish Joshi recently made an attempt to whitewash the crimes of Afghan invaders and "expose" True Indology. True Indology then replied by dismantling his response with sourced material, and went on to unmask Ashish Joshi for plagiarizing false information from an open source Sikh Wiki.
Bureaucrat announcing him and his IPS friend are trying to dox a twitter handle
Following this, the fraudulent officer, in a display of blatant misuse of power, arrogance, corruption and disrespect of the law, threatened to deplatform True Indology and announced that him and his IPS friend are already trying to identify the owner of the handle. He then threatened to file Section 295 A, also known as "Blasphemy Law", which is itself an anti free speech law, but irrelevant in this case since it doesn't apply to someone stating facts using sourced data.
Before this, he has previously been accused of perpetrating a โblanket-tea scamโ by the Anti Corruption Bureau of Aam Aadmi Party. Upon further inspection, he has threatened the entire twitter by claiming to "set the house in order" using his govt. powers and warns anyone who "abuses" and spreads "fake news" being "no longer leashed".
He also seems to have a fetish for deplatforming and censorship of dissenting views, repeatedly browbeating individuals using his govt. powers, including throwing homeless people out of shelter homes and advocating to jail people for "disrespecting" First PM of India :
**This episode highlights the deep rooted arrogance, incompetence and corruption in India's bureaucracy, not to mention the utter ignorance of historical events as well as the aversion to facts and lust for authoritarianis
... keep reading on reddit โกI have on numerous accounts indicated I was trans, although at the time ftm. One time I was forced to come out my mother was ok at first then became absolutely terrible and the whole situation was disgusting and made me depressed. Its been a few years and my mother still indicates If I ever were to recome out she wouldn't accept it. I'm at a point in my life where im very dependant, teenager that wants to become a doctor (college is expensive), on them and honestly apart from being transphobic (mainly ignorance and refusal to be educated - she seems set in stone about the whole topic) I really like my family. Its like she thinks its a choice and a mistake that im confused and she goes nuts about the topic. My dad is actually pretty ok he asked if was nb (we went to a college opening and one of the lectures was about genderfluidty) at that point I was dumb and sick of being told off and said no. biggest regret.. that I was just gonna try being myself no labels and made fun of the lecture..really fucking dumb... cause I was scarred... this has happened a few times to the point where I fear that every attempt will get me crawling back in the closet cause its not worth it.
Im know very secure in my identity as a nb. I am very fortunate with my body in terms of a fairly flat/ pec looking chest, large shoulders, binding is easy and my mom does let me get androgynous clothes (although she doesn't really like it). I don't see myself as a woman.. (got so many coping mechanisms to deal with dysphoria ) Haircut would throw her of rails and make her question if im thinking about being trans again (ftm is all she knows) but I feel the need to make steps.
I want to be an open nb person but feel like the effort of educating and potentially loosing family members won't be worth it if I feel ok in the way I can express myself currently.
On the other hand I don't want to go on t atm (im fairly androgynous) and only want top surgery, basically like Oslo grace, (which they probably won't even notice). My countries trans system is horrific (3 years waiting time) so I want to sign up asap but just for top. After that I feel that I'd feel 100% confident.

Watkins College of Art, a Nashville, Tennessee art school long known for its artistic freedom, is being absorbed by Belmont University, notorious for its practice of hiring only โChristianโ instructors and where some art work and practices are restricted.
As Artnet News, which first wrote about the story, observed, โStudents have been told by Watkins faculty and Belmont officials that their freedom of expression would be somewhat restricted at the Christian school where filmmakers must make PG [Parental Guidance ratingโi.e., innocuous] movies and artists [are] not permitted to draw from nude figures to study the human form.โ
The art college was founded as the Watkins Institute in 1885 at the behest of Samuel Watkins (1794-1880). Orphaned at age four and with no formal education, Watkins became a โself-made entrepreneur and philanthropist.โ Having first made a fortune as a master builder, after the Civil War, he engaged in banking, manufacturing and other pursuits. In his will, Watkins left $100,000 and Nashville property to teach the โbusiness of lifeโ to those in need.
Watkins College students would begin attending Belmont in August.
The decision by the Watkins board of directors to allow the school to be absorbed by the much larger, richer and very conservative Belmont was announced late last month. A January 29 meeting organized for Watkins students and staff with Watkins CEO Dr. Joseph Kline and Belmont Provost Dr. Thomas Burns did little to tamp down the anger and distress a large number of the students feel, sentiments well justified.
At the meeting, Burns laid down the law to the assembled on who would be teaching them, along with the obligation of every Watkins instructor and staff member to make a written statement of Christian faith.
โWe do not hire people who are not Christian,โ Burns said. โSo the ones who are not Christian will not be eligible to work at Belmont.โ The largest building on campus (last on right) has the name of the wife of a Nashville banking giant deeply carved at the top. The pair gave the school $15 million
A video of the meeting was posted online by Artnet News. Two Belmont instructors have confirmed they were required to sign statements of their Christian faith to be hired.
Quinn Dukes, a 2007 alumna of Watkins College, who organized an online petition (โOpen Letter to the President of Watkins College of Art and Board of Directorsโ) against the merger, told Artnet News, โThere is rage
