A list of puns related to "Fluorescent lamp formats"
Is this a good light for a snow albino and regular RES baby? Zoo Med ReptiSun 10.0 T8-HO UVB Fluorescent Reptile Lamp
I reas the 5.0 was safer for RES. But I donβt think they are getting enough UVB. Also I would like to feed them more than pellets but when I offer them other food and leave it with them for an hour or so, they just ignore it.
Any suggestions? Iβm concerned about their shells
He said no, this is light.
The fluorescent lamp in my bathroom dies after 4-6 months of use. This is going on for years now. It is the lamp (tube) that dies, putting in a new one makes it work again (for a few months).
What could be the cause of this? The fluorescent lamp in the kitchen is good for more than 8 years now.
Each time the lamp dies, shaking or hitting it slightly helps to get a few days of extra light. Also each time it dies there is a dark residue inside at both ends of the tube. See picture at here (at the arrow, not very visible, maybe squint a little or somebody please enhance the contrast on the picture - I tried a bit on my phone with its limited editing, but not much better)
Hi,
Does anyone know if a fluorescent lamp can be bad for your cockatiel?
Here is my way of thinking:
When we turn the light on, we so everything lit up. We have a vision of +-30fps and a fluorescent light gives 100 flashes (EU) a second (120 in US). So part of every frame is lit up, so we see things as lit.
A quick google search tells me birds have a +-120 fps vision, meaning they can have 'frames' in here vision that aren't lit up, giving a permanent flashing effect.
You can try this yourself by filming a light at high sped and slowing it down 4-5 times.
So is this the case and if so, can this harm your bird?
Hi Mehdi, can you please try my idea that is in the title and make a video (if you want) ?
