A list of puns related to "Floridian (train)"
Thank you everybody who has helped us navigate through Utah and for following us on our little journey through your beautiful state!β€
Edit: I forgot to tell you all the funniest part. After they transferred our stuff in the new truck they went to hitch my car and then they found a flat on the trailer. As they were changing that tire and handing me the keys he noticed another tire on the truck was flat as well! Got to penske at 8am didn't get to leave until almost 11:30am. All I could do was laugh. Then we started to drive and the NEW truck had a service light go on for the Stabilitrack. Non the less we made it!π€£
Penske truck broke down 10 miles after Green River (transmission started slipping). Had to wait hours to be told I had to either drive it back to Green River or be towed there. I drove it back. Got penske to agree to tow the dang thing to SLC and it was 2:30pm by then so, I said "F it" and drove our car on the 191 to save time. Honestly it wasn't bad at all. Beautiful veiws I may add. THANK ALL OF YOU KIND FOLKS FOR YOUR HELP AND ADVICE!
Come on people, it is not that hard. They flow, you flow, they go, you go. Magic.
Hello!
I am moving with my significant other.
I have a 2015 Nissan Rogue Select S FWD 4 cylinder with touring tires that I purchase just last year before I knew I was moving.
My significant other has a 2018 Hyundai Elantra Value edition FWD 4 cylinder with tires that need desperate changing very soon. This car will more than likely only be brought up to Milwaukee in April.
Could someone tell me based on the aforementioned facts, should I buy dedicated snow tires for the Nissan in the time period that I am coming?
And if so, should I have them installed down in Florida before driving 21+ hours to Milwaukee end of February/beginning of March depending on how you know the weather and snow conditions to be around that time
Also, as I cannot afford the payment or storage of 8 dedicated snow tires and then the purchase of all-seasons for the Hyundai down the line, will I get by adding all-seasons with severe snow rating on the Hyundai when it comes to Milwaukee in April?
We will not be doing much driving in the initial months as my apartment will be close to my job and my partner works from home.
Any advice would be appreciated!
It was my first time going and Iβve lived here my whole life haha! Super busy but amazing I canβt believe Iβve never been before, my absolute favorite was Harry Potter
I (36f) have lived in FL my whole life. I have zero idea how to deal with the cold, but Iβm interested in moving to upstate NY to an area that has average 7Β° lows in January and has a record low of like -39Β°.
Other than cold weather clothing (layers, wool, synthetics, boots, coats, etc) and blankets and sleeping bags β¦ what do people do to prepare for the cold in terms of heating the house?
Here in Florida when it gets chilly (coldest Iβve ever experienced is like 28Β° here) we just turn the heater on - we have central heating. But because our cold weather doesnβt come with storms here we never had to worry about the power going out. What do you do if the power goes out up north when itβs super cold ?????
And also what do you do just generally to stay warm when itβs in the single digits? I donβt understand the first thing about fireplaces and furnaces and wood stoves. I barely know what they are. Is there a website someone could point me to? What should I look for in terms of heating when shopping for a home up there?
I specifically would like to be told something concrete like βmake sure you have this kind of heating or this kind of fuelβ or buy this specific type of device. I dunno. Iβm totally lost on this one lol
