More women and Mom's should be incentivized and have an easy way to begin coding.
Learning to code means that job opportunities start to open up to you that can be more remote, and more flexible.
It will take 2-6 months to learn (and get started with python and basic website building), part-time. But together, I GUARANTEE, we can do it.
I am putting together this survey since I have two moms/women I am helping learn to code right now. I'm hoping to get a group or two together. I am a female software engineer, and will provide direction and all of the resources you need to succeed. Everybody can motivate each other and learn at their own pace.

Quick Background: I Will graduate at the end of fall from a state school with a master's in computer science - general emphasis. Also, I have a BS in CS. I, unfortunately, never did an internship. Was a GA and RA with about a 3.9 gap in both undergrad and Graduate. A paper I helped with in unergrad in Privacy is about to get published. Currently working on a thesis in machine learning (specifically working with convolutional neural networks). I'm looking for my first job in either machine learning or Software engineering. I think I would like to try working in ML but could also definitely see myself in software engineering as that was my original intention.
My ML background is a bit scattered and I am looking at some options that would both solidify my knowledge and beef up my resume. I'm thinking about the TensorFlow Developer Certificate, Google cloud's Professional Machine Learning Engineer certification, courseca courses for those two certificates/certifications as well as a courseca course on math for machine learning.
I'm wondering if anyone can give me their thoughts as to whether those certifications along with a CS master's with a thesis in ML would make me a viable candidate for ML engineering jobs? Or if my lack of experience / specific degree would be too big of a problem.
I also have a chronic pain condition that means I would benefit a lot from a flexible schedule. I could work full time just fine but might sometimes need to rest during normal business hours and make up for it nights/weekends and it's unpredictable when my pain will be bad. I would love a remote job but could also handle an in-person or mixed job that would be flexible for me. Is it normal for new grads to be able to find remote jobs?
Should I look for jobs specifically advertised as flexible or look at normal jobs and ask if they can be flexible? If the second option what part of the application/interview should I bring up my issue?
If I struggle to find a job would it be weird to apply for internships as a new Master's grad?
I'll take any advice/thoughts. I might also make a post on r/jobs or r/carerguidance about my health issues during the job search.
