The UK relinquished administration of HongKong in 1997, and the Portuguese relinquished administration of Macau in 1999. However, it is evident that the political divide between HKers and the CCP are far more palpable than anything I've heard from Macau. (my knowledge is however limited). My questions are: What historical factors can account for this difference? Do you think the sentiment of protest in HK have a chance of spreading to Macau?
The day has come when the final four chefs must cook with the world's smelliest fruit durian. This infamous fruit is a delicacy in Macau, but will Padma and guest judge, James Beard Award winner Abe Conlon be able to stomach their creations for the season's last Quickfire? Then, the chefs get a tutorial in the traditional cuisine of Macau, a fusion of Chinese and Portuguese flavors, and are joined by their family members from back home. For the elimination challenge, the chefs are tasked with blending their own heritage with Chinese flavors in order to impress their love ones and the judges, in order to earn their spot in the finale.
I've been studying for a semester in this college now, and so far I've felt nothing but stress and frustration, I feel like I'm still in high school. Throughout my first semester, lecturers would also use "Just look at it on Moodle. (site where teachers upload their powerpoints)" as a horrible explanation. I felt disengaged in class, as lecturers would just be plain and boring, I mean some lecturers are even livelier outside of the classroom, why can't you implement that in class???
My mid-terms are two weeks before my exams, how the hell am I supposed to cram in courses AND do projects that are taught and due in 2 weeks, without killing my own sleep schedule, and god forbid not forget anything on exam day. None of the students in there, are satisfied with their school life, everyone is either sleeping in class, chasing deadlines or just making fun of the lecturer.
A course, we have to do this coming summer, called "Supervised Work Experience" is basically free slavery, we are told to be working in a hotel, for 2 weeks, even encouraging those hotels to not pay us, so basically us adults are going to work FOR FREE. They even told us to expect to be looked down upon, expect the job to be boring.
Isn't this basically slavery?? How do you mistreat your students that badly???
How is this college the top college in Macau, when the students basically have to go through several stages where they have to keep unnecessarily killing their own personal life and mental health.
Translation: Macau has confirmed 8th case of coronavirus. The patient is a local. No information about the patientβs travel history in the article.
