A list of puns related to "Firm service"
Edit #3: u/Donkey-Kongs had a pretty good explanation for why they may be working late that should be taken into account when reading this: "Not to steal the ๐from anyoneโs bunch, as someone familiar with this space, working weekends at midnight in the office, especially in NYC, is unfortunately par for the course for any AMLaw 50 firm, and more so for those with global reach. You could also point to the Perkins law firm which is based in Citadelโs offices in Chicago which has a crypto practice. I would be surprised if they didnโt have attorneys working all nighters on weekends as well. Also, the majority of law firms are allowing people to be in office as covid restrictions have eased. And finally, trust Chambers or Legal500 for rankings. USN is considered, by many, a bit lower tier."

So based on the great DD done in here already with all the brokers and banks burning the midnight oil, I figured out what I could find. I stumbled upon www.earthcam.com which contains links to hundreds of live cameras across the world. I checked out there Midtown Manhattan one (Link) and noticed a building next to the Chrysler tower that had it's top floors lit up. So let's dig:

Just to make sure this wasn't common, I checked the views from 4 and 5 nights ago (see gallery) and you'll notice those floors are completely dark. So there's definitely something weird going on tonight where this building is clearly occupied on the top floors. It's hard to tell which building it is, so I used the daytime feed (also in the gallery) to get a better look at it.
Using Google Maps satellite view, I figured out it was 450 Lexington Ave (Link)
Alright. We have the building, so who are the top floor tenants? Initially all my searches for any addresses on the 35-38 floors came up empty. However, when I searched for Suite 3500 (I found through other searching that the official addresses are suites and based on the floor) I came across this lawyer directory. The lawyers you see here have addresses as Suite 3500 (35th floor), and link to www.dpw.com. On we go!
So who is dwp.com? None other than DavisPolk & Wardell. Alright so we have the lawyers, working at midnight on a Sunday night, during COVI
... keep reading on reddit โกIโm looking for some advice or guidance on what my next steps could be in this situation.
I contacted a lawyer and retained their services about 9 months ago and have paid almost $10,000 in services for a very technical/confusing lawsuit against a company for damages to something I own (sorry, I donโt want to give too much detail on the lawsuit itself as the details could be identifying.) A few weeks ago I went in for another follow up with my lawyer. Weโd been working very closely getting everything ready, and we were supposed to be finalizing the details so that we could file the lawsuit. But, to my surprised, my lawyer told me that they and their firm could no longer represent me because it turns out they didnโt properly research the company that I intend on suing. They said that the company is actually a sole proprietorship and that the firm has previously represented the sole proprietor in other personal lawsuits and that this was now a conflict of interest and he needed terminate their services for me immediately.
Iโve asked around (family and friends) for recommendations (which is how I found this lawyer) however everyone Iโve contacted isnโt interested or wonโt take it on.
Do I have any recourse against my previous lawyer? Shouldnโt they have known 9 months ago that it was a conflict of interest? And more importantly, is there any way for me to find a competent lawyer without calling every firm and explaining my very long and confusing reason for the lawsuit in the first place? Any other advice you have for me above and beyond these questions is also welcome. Thanks in advance!
Hello! My husband and I bought a 1 acre lot and are looking to build. With pricing how it is these days the cost of going with a builder may be out of reach for us!
Any advice for non-traditional routes that might be a good fit? We've been looking at mobile homes, kits, and modular homes. Any advice on high quality places to look?
We're in the midatlantic part of the country.
I'm moving in 10 days and it's the first time I have moved with decent quantities of furntiture etc. I have hired a removal firm and went for the full packing service to minimise stress, as the cost difference between self-packing and getting them to do it was comparatively small.
However, I'm now panicking because it feels like I'm not doing anything or getting ready... friends keep saying "ooh how's the packing going" and I just... haven't done any.
Had anyone else used one of these services? Do I literally just pack an overnight bag and that's it?
I read on a shill website and saw on a news clip that alot of these companies that we are using for our trades are actually completing trades through Citadel. If this is true, then who can we trust? IS there a reputable company out there in an evil manipulated trading world?
Hello as the title says, I want to gain perspective on how hard is it to transfer to other service lines. Whether itโs from assurance to consulting, tax to transaction advisory/deals.
Letโs take the silver spoon out of melvins and shitadels grandmas dusty gaping hole of tartar breath and give it back to the gaping Apes ๐ฆ
My options are PwC, EY and KPMG and Iโm focusing on the east coast markets. I have a preference for the financial services industry and am struggling with my decision.
