A list of puns related to "Firefly (Boom! Studios comics)"
I was trying to figure out why they wouldn't continue where "No Power in the 'Verse" left off, and the only thing I can figure is that the TV Series 'Firefly' is factually a different license of media than the film 'Serenity'.
Even then that's tenuous as Dark Horse had comics that were in the 'Firefly' era as well, so...really I was just trying to figure out why we're seeing more fleshing out material rather than "new" material.
What's more confusing is that now we're seeing "Watch How I Soar" as a tpb coming out from Boom! as well in Nov/Dec which also deals with Serenity timeline material.
So...yeah I guess I was just trying to figure it out and wondered if the subreddit had any info?
Thanks for your time.
So Mal and Boss Moon get stranded on a planet where they end up fighting giant alien bug monsters called "crawlies."
Where the heck did "crawlies" come from because aliens don't exist in the Firefly universe?
I've heard some very negative reviews of the new firefly comic series from Boom. I've decided not to pick up the unification war and new sheriff in the verse titles. Mal being alone, aliens, Zoe shooting Wash, all that. However, I'm still on the fence about the blue sun rising and return to earth that was arcs. Any suggestions?
I love reading manga on my tablet. Just wondering if there is a similar way to do it with the boom studios comics
Now Zeo is a long way away. We're barely in what is basically S3 from the show. Mabye in 3 - 5 years we'd have Zeo.
I haven't watched Zeo since it aired, when I was 4/5, but from what I remember the original Gold Ranger was Trey. A 3-n-1 person, basically.
Jason had to give back the Gold Ranger power because it was too much for one person to handle.
My solution is to have the Gold Ranger power be split among three Rangers that when morph combine into one.
The Rangers being Billy, Matt, and Skull.
Jason should continue being the Red Omega Ranger.
Billy should have been the Gold Ranger in the Show.
Matt will probably loose the Green Ranger powers at some point before Zeo.
Skull would make a great Ranger. At least Skull from the comics.
Just curious where this slots in with the events of the TV series/Movie.
To be clear, I'm talking about the ongoing written by Greg Pak.

Stage: Earth
Morals: Off
Prep: Lord Drakkon has the Heart of the Master
I myself would like a Carter Grayson comic of him traveling around the country helping people. Old west style. Whenever there's trouble he tries to solve a diplomatically but isn't afraid to get forceful if needed. Maybe some demons return any has to hunt them down.
Hello!
I'm new to this subreddit, and I wanted to know if you lovely folks could share with me your top five favorite titles from Boom! Studios.
I haven't read a whole lot of stuff from Boom! Studios, but I'd like to know more about the top-rated stuff that it's put out during its time on the comic book publishing scene.
So yeah, top five Boom! Studios comic books?
Warning: Contains spoilers for Boom Studios MMPR Issue 35
The example I was thinking of when asking this question is >!Zenowing from Dino Charge.!< In the show, they do not die, however in this issue >!they sacrifice themselves to purify Heckyl.!<
Are the comics canon? As I really don't like the way this character was killed off, and I wanted to know if they're considered canonically dead
(For those who have not read the Boom series, spoilers below)
I'm current up to issue #19. Wanting to be a faithful Browncoat I subscribed with some enthusiasm when the series was first released back in...was it 2018 I think? The cover art was and is quite good. Things started off well enough but then...space bugs?
I soldiered on, waiting for things to improve. Hoping. It's not a hard concept. It's not like there isn't plenty of tread left on the tire. It's not a complicated formula. It says it right on the tin. Find a crew, find a job, keep flying.
That said, I would have loved to read a comic series about a backwater sheriff who gets tangled up in some conspiracy and goes head-to-head with Blue Sun. That's a great pitch. I love it. That sheriff is not Malcolm Reynolds. Mal belongs on the bridge of Serenity. With his crew. Where is even Zoe? Where are the Tams? Where are the themes of found family and standing up to The Man? In what universe would Mal ever arrest his own crew?
Anyway, I don't mean to rant. What are your thoughts on the series? Is there any hope for change, or am I the odd man out on this one?
I've been holding in this opinion too long and I finally now need to vent. Boom! Studios' firefly comic is terrible. It's really disappointed to say because I was anticipating at the least a passable series but what we've got...I don't know what it is...but I know what it isn't.
It feels as though the author Greg Pak just doesn't understand this universe or its characters. He frequently has our crew behaving completely out of character and he certainly hasn't managed to emulate their voices. He doesn't seem to understand the basic rules of the universe and he has nothing close to a mastery of making this world feel like firefly.
I think the voices were the first thing I noticed was just off. These clones of Serenity's crew just don't talk like they are supposed to. Now I admit that Joss Whedon's characters' voices are notoriously difficult to capture; there's plenty of bad Buffy and Angel novels to testify to that. BUT it's not impossible; look at Jame's Lovegrove's fantastic firefly novels in which he absolutely nails their voices. Being able to capture the voices should just be the bare minimum requirement when you're looking for a writer to continue the story. This guy hasn't even got down the basics. He frequently has Jayne refer to Shepherd Book as 'Book' even though Jayne (and most of the crew) usually use his title 'Shepherd' when speaking to or about him. He's also far ruder to Book than I can accept; Jayne is uncouth in general but always seemed to have a respect for Shepherd Book, he also wasn't preoccupied with Book's past which Pak's Jayne seems to be. Similarly Kaylee is often heard saying 'Mal' when she usually refers to him as 'Captain' or 'Cap'. These are just two examples that I find particularly jarring and should be really obvious problems. I don't think there's a page in these 6 issues that I can without effort, hear the character's voices speaking their lines naturally. This wasn't true for most of Dark Horse's output or the recent firefly novels.
Then the characters started being weird. They'd do things that they just wouldn't. You and I know how these guys work, Greg Pak doesn't. He thinks that Zoe and Wash would casually shoot each other in the leg...I mean seriously? They are presented in the show as a very healthy relationship, not without their problems sure but they wouldn't shoot each other, they just wouldn't.
Kaylee diffuses a mexican stand-off situation in issue 4 while Mal stands there doing nothing...just no. I mea
... keep reading on reddit β‘I'm on issue #20/21 of Buffy. I'm enjoying it, but does anyone else feel like they are jumping too much? Like, I consistently feel like I've missed something in between pages. Like, when Willow suddenly is back and training with them. I understand that the Willow mini-series showed she ended up going back to Sunnydale, but then the Buffy issue has her back without any pleasantries. I just feel that crucial details get missed in panels/pages because of space/issue sizes. And the whole Xander thing feels put on the back burner for this Anya ploy suddenly. And one more thing, I get confused on who we are looking out because the artist doesn't have a lot of variance on blonde women. They all look like Buffy... And a lot of guys just look like Giles. Like, Xander, Giles, and Wesley look similar. Anyway. Mild annoyance.
βDune: Blood of the Sardaukarβ is based on Brian and Kevinβs novelette published in the Unfettered III anthology. This adaptation is a massive 40-page comic with four different covers, and will be released in July. For more artwork and information, see Gizmodo.com.

Hey everyone. I tried googling this with no luck and I really donβt want to have to look through all my books to find out (I mean I kinda donβt but it will take forever), but Iβm trying to see when the first appearance of Aisha Campbel (second yellow ranger) and Katherine Hillard (second pink ranger) are. I remember them being at 2 different times I wanna say around issue 28 for Hillard and maybe like 42 for Campbell but Iβm not certain. Can anyone help me?
Solar rangers are whatβs top of mind, but what characters from the comics do you want to see as new figures?
I'm rereading MMPR and Go Go to catch myself back up to speed and this whole universe is really incredible. I feel like allows PR to reach it's full potential while still having it's hopeful energy. I think it's my favorite PR property by a longshot and just wanted to hear what other people think.
