A list of puns related to "Faces of Death (album)"
The subredditβs favorite Aussie band is back with their 2nd studio album. Sharptone has blessed us with a treat by dropping the whole album on YouTube early. Discuss and enjoy everyone! Also make sure to buy the album and their wonderful merch as they prepare to headline Australia(with Wage War, Crystal Lake, and Alpha Wolf) and Europe(with Currents, Varials, and Alpha Wolf)
Note: YouTube playlist from Sharptone contains all their material and will be updated with a proper playlist once made available
My three favorites are Brighter than a Thousand Suns, The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg, and For the Greater Good of God.
I want to listen to albums composed by artists who knew they were dying. Off the top of my head, I can think of David Bowie's Blackstar, Leonard Cohen's You Want It Darker, and J. Dilla's Donuts. I'm not looking for posthumous cash grabs by family and producers (XXXTentacion's Bad Vibes Forever) or albums that simply happen to be someone's last album prior to a tragic death (Mac Miller's Swimming). Any genre or time period is appreciated. Could go classical, too. While this is a list you are more than welcome to explain why you like the album or feel it's notable.
EDIT: I really appreciate the suggestions everyone. Please keep them coming! Also, two additional points have come up with the recommendations thus far:
Its personally my favorite album.
When I watched the part of the film Faces of Death on YouTube years ago (I think the video has been taken down since), I remember seeing a lot of comments about how the scene of the monkey being beat in the head by customers for them to eat was obviously fake. Wikipedia says "Although several of the human death scenes and one depicting a monkey being killed are obvious fakes (with Allan A. Apone, make-up and special effects artists for the movie saying that about 40% of it is fake), some of the footage is genuine." But when I watched the video, I honestly had no reason to doubt the scene was fake. It looked like it could have been real if someone showed it to me and told me it was from a real documentary. Is there something I didn't notice about that scene that would prove it was clearly fake? I didn't see anything to prove it myself.
It is definitely my favourite album but I donβt know what my favourite song in it is. Whatβs your?
Here's a weird thought that had ran through my head. A couple days ago, I had received a mint copy of Matt Land - Rock My Heart/Night Clubbin'/Kiss Me Before Midnight/In The Line Of Fire. However when listening through all of the songs, I had noticed that all of these songs used the same formula when it came to their extended mixes - they just repeated a verse, just without the vocals, and then the normal pre chorus and chorus, with the exception of In The Line Of Fire, which used a fake out ending to trick you into thinking the song would end, but then it'd pick right back up and continue on. Then I realized something - this trend had also been in quite a couple of A Beat C songs at the time, and was not just limited to this specific record. The extended mixes around that time specifically coming from A Beat C were getting less and less creative, while Delta and Time were getting even more creative with them, though at times it was just turn off a couple tracks in the song editor and let it play out. Then I noticed fast forward to the later SEB albums, the "extended" mixes were just standard SEB length songs, save for a few exceptions such as the SinclaireStyle, Delta, and Dima Music songs. SCP and GoGo's seemed to have completely given up on them at that point. This brings me to this question - what happened to extended mixes? I'd love to hear all of your thoughts on this.
Two years on from their debut, Polaris are back with their highly anticipated second album, The Death Of Me. - triple j

Kanter sleeps with panic button
Kanter was released by the New York Knicks hours after the trade deadline and signed with the Trail Blazers a few days later. One of the first things he did was meet with agents from the cityβs FBI agency, per an ESPN feature released Monday on his 27th birthday.
Monday also marks two years to the day since Kanter was detained and later released in Romania when the Turkish embassy βcanceledβ his passport. The outspoken Kanter is a βwanted manβ in Turkey and faces death threats for his criticism of the Turkish government and president Reccip Tayyip Erdogan.
Via Tim Keown at ESPN:
He says the agents listened and wrote down Kanter's words and asked a few more questions. Not once did they ask if he was taking the threats seriously, and before they left, they installed a device next to his bed. "If you're uncomfortable with anything, just push that button," they told him. "If you hear something you don't like or have a reason to believe there's a threat, push the button and someone will be here within minutes."
Kanter gave the FBI the details of his experience with Turkey and Erdogan, reported in the media over the years, and said the death threats accelerated earlier this year when he stayed behind as the Knicks traveled to London for a game.
