A list of puns related to "FKA Twigs discography"
Andrew Thomas Huang - music video director who directed FKA twigs 'Cellophane' music video posted a story on his IG about how Nas' label contacted him about making the video for Nas but in the end, they just copied the iconic pole dance scene. They even hired the same choreographer. Both scenes look very similar and have the same concept.
Where is the line between being inspired by someone's work and just knocking it off by making it different enough so they can't sue?
Looking for music that has the same kind of unique sound. Experimental, innovative interesting music or/and music that mixes several genres.
Edit: Thank you so much!! I'm loving all your recommendations
Let's face it, the ressemblance is enormous right? I feel FKA is more experimental but again it could have been what Tinashe would sound like if she really did what she wanted...
iβm into songs that have religious themes and references but arenβt exactly religious and songs that are similar to mary magdalene by fka twigs.
any suggestions ?
Hey everyone. Just thought it might be helpful for people because it certainly helped me.
If you havenβt heard of it maybe itβs worth checking out Louis Therouxβs βGrounded with Louis Therouxβ podcast interview with FKA Twigs (episode 19). In the second half of the episode she talks about her relationship with Shia LaBeouf. I canβt diagnose him but I think the experience is applicable to abusive relationships in general. It was a glimmer of hope a few months ago when I heard the interview. It really made me feel a lot less alone. I hope it can help some of you too. :)
Artists like Grimes, FKA Twigs, Rina Sawayama, Caroline Polacheck, Japanese Breakfast, Sabrina Claudio, Kali Uchis, Maggie Rogers, pretty much solo, (or mainly solo) female or nonbinary singers with Ethereal like vibes to their music. Preferably with consistent albums, bonus points if they in anyway relate to the lgbtq+ community.
Thanks!
Theres so many sub genres now, im not exactly sure what her genre of music is ? Indie - pop? Alternative?
I know that whether or not they actually made a song together is not confirmed (he just commented under one of her posts before Wlr dropped) but a collab like that is exactly what Id love.
Honestly, other than Thug I'm not even that interested in him collaborating with other rappers. Artists like Twigs, Charli or RosalΓa sound so much more interesting. What do y'all think? Who would you wanna see on the deluxe as a guest?

Snippet:
"The emotional, verbal, and physical violence that twigs experienced during the course of their abusive relationship came to a head over Valentineβs Day weekend in 2019 after she and LaBeouf traveled to a hotel spa. The details of that fateful night are outlined in a shocking civil lawsuit she filed against the actor in December of last year. As she alleges in the complaint, after drifting off to sleep in the hotel, the singer awoke to find LaBeouf atop her, violently squeezing her arms. Putting his hands around her neck and beginning to strangle her, he whispered, βIf you donβt stop, you are going to lose me.β The next morning, she claims, the abuse continued when LaBeouf threw her to the ground outside their hotel. Once inside his car and headed back to LaBeoufβs Los Angeles home, she says the actor began driving maniacally, demanding that twigs profess her love for him. As he swerved into traffic at an alarming speed, with cars beeping around them, twigs recalls bracing for the impact of the imminent crash. βI was thinking to myself, βI wonder what would happen to my body...if [we] smashed into a wall at 80 miles per hour?β I was looking for the airbag and I couldnβt see the airbag sign, so I was thinking, βIf he doesnβt have an airbag, will this car crush my sternum?β
As twigs retells the story now, she is physically acting out each scenario, curling her taut dancerβs physique into a ball and covering her head with her hands. βI was thinking, βOh no, if I crouch like that, and the front of the car crashes into my head, will it snap my neck?βββ Her mind raced with terrifying possibilities. At one point, she considered jumping out of the moving vehicle as it barreled down the highway. βDo I jump out of the car at 80 miles an hour?β
