I havent actually posted about this before and it's really hard, and I'm hoping not lengthy. But, I'm a HLF(25), with my LLM(23) boyfriend of 3 years. The first year was amazing. I finally had a healthy relationship and a healthy sex life. We did talk in the beginning about how sex isnt that important, and I feel TERRIBLE because it turns out I lied. I just never had a healthy sex life before him so obviously from my past relationships I thought it was the case. He helped me realize I'm a VERY sexual person and that it's okay. After a year and a half, something changed. I dont know what, I've asked. He quit choosing me. It's been like that since. I've been so understanding this past year and a half. I dont pressure him or intentionally make him feel bad. I've tried to be understanding and patient but hes turned me down and then chose porn or just masturbation over me. I'm constantly rejected and it hurts so bad. The relationship is perfect aside from this downfall in our sex life. He just doesnt care anymore and I care too much. I quit initiating, because the constant rejection hurts so bad but I tried for so long. Sometimes I do still try only to be rejected and hurt even though I knew the outcome. I work in an adult store, so I'm around sex toys and couples buying things together nearly all day every day. I love my job, it means a lot to me, but it's a constant trigger and I'm trying so hard to hold it together right now at work. I've talked to him, I've cried to him, and he never has an actual reason. Its hes tired, stress, work, it's just not important to him, etc. I dont want him to want me if he doesnt, but I want him to want me. The fact he actively chooses to not chose me is devastating. I feel absolutely disgusting and selfish. I feel like I'm suffocating a part of myself and its turning me bitter towards him. I absolutely dont want to be bitter, or have any ill feelings towards him. I'm constantly trying to "rewire" my thinking about it and to not think about it, he doesnt deserve when I'm snippy at him or bitter, because i feel so unwanted.

I tried to keep this short, and with doing so I probably left out a decent amount of details and feelings/emotions.

Yesterday I made a post about my n mom holding my “dependent” stimulus over my head. Many of you rightfully pointed out that I am not a dependent based off the information I provided in that post. (paying for my own expenses etc). I’ve done my research and have been able to separate from her gaslighting and guilt tripping that I am NOT a dependent and I am entitled to my refund, even if it “screws her” (her words). I am in the process of filing before they do, and I couldn’t have done it without you all pointing it out. They have been wrongfully claiming me since i moved out almost 2 years ago.

The lengths our parents go to manipulate us into things....never ceases to amaze me. Thank you all.

Edit: I forget that taxes go back from the year prior. I moved out in Aug 2019 and paid for all my expenses afterwards but not before......so I don’t think I could’ve filed independent last year. I caught it just in time with this year.
