Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences β€” respected?

I came across a study in a journal called the Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences, and I was wondering if research published in it can be relied upon. I've found what seem to be somewhat big inconsistencies between what the paper says about one of its references and what that reference actually found. I'm now skeptical.

Here's the study in question:

http://www.textroad.com/pdf/JPBS/J.%20Pharm.%20Biomed.%20Sci.,%202%287%2987-93,%202012.pdf

Here is the info page, written in questionable English: http://www.jpbms.info/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=51&Itemid=27

It's been a long time since high-school science classes, so I've sort of forgotten whatever I once knew about how to assess a study's reliability, a sample size's statistical validity, etc. Help?
