[US] The Good Place (2016) - When Eleanor arrives at the Good Place, she realizes she has been mistaken for someone else, and seeks help from a new friend to earn her spot in the Good Place.
Probably one of the best shows currently on Netflix and such an amazing finale.

Why doesn't Eleanor dress like an Arizona Garbage Bag? (Costuming Discussion)
I've been rewatching the show and I started to wonder why Eleanor's style does not reflect her origin. The others are much more on the nose. Tahani dresses like she's ready for a garden party at moment's notice, Chidi screams academia, and when Jason chooses his clothes he looks like a street dancer. Even as they evolve they keep their signature style and it's one of the charming things about the show. But Eleanor always seems to wear tailored, casual, somewhat tonally neutral clothing. It's neither feminine nor masculine, usually no bright colors. It makes her look put together but down to earth. I think this is because she's our main character and she wouldn't necessarily dress like her peers, but it was very jarring in the flashback scenes when she's in Arizona or with her family. Where are the body con dresses, copious tattoos (don't tell me Eleanor wouldn't be covered in tattoos!), and obnoxious screen printed t-shirts? Ever other decision is so pointed that clearly this was a choice.

June, Eleanor and Lawrence
What's your opinion on June just letting Eleanor die?
I've seen a lot of comments saying how she did it "for the greater good", how Eleanor might have accidentally betrayed their operation had she let her live, how she was far beyond saving... But I just think about how broken Joseph was afterwards, when he could barely hold his tears while talking about the wine he's been saving for their anniversary. How he truly loved his wife, how he was doing everything just to protect her and how hard must it have been for both of them to watch Gilead chip away the shells of their former selves, each in their own way. For me that was when I really started hating June, Eleanor was pure-hearted as a little bird and she deserved more. After that I could never see June as a hero anymore, she stomped on a soul that was as innocent as those kids themselves and as hurt by Gilead as any other non-Wife woman. I wish we got to see more of their backstory - how and why she stayed with Joseph after he stoppes being a kind man who made mixtapes for her and started to become one of the monsters which created Gilead.

Famous Eleanors of history
So I am expecting my fist baby in August and we are naming her Eleanor (Nellie). I kind of want to make a book/scrapbook full of some of the more well known Eleanors throughout history. So far I have Eleanor of Aquitaine, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Nellie Bly. Iβm looking for people who did things themselves and not just βMother ofβ¦β or βWife ofβ¦β. If you guys can think of any good ones thatβd be awesome. I was sorting through Wikipedia but I thought this sub would have some fun insight. Thanks!

My past life was King Edward Iβs daughter through his second wife Margaret of France in which I was named Eleanor, also I was ginger and married a knight named Arturo, Scotland was a prominent place I grew up in and I was killed at 69 by a slit throat backstabbing congress of the palace.
I actually never knew this at first after past life regressing it was my first ever and Iβve always had dreams ab it even before doing the meditation, afterwards I did research and everything mind blowingly fell into place which is crazy :) YOU CAN GOOGLE THIS!! ITS FACTUAL!!

Eleanor is a good character and doesnβt deserve all the hate that she got.
People give her too much shit for the whole betrayal thing went and did in season three episode four. Itβs not that bad of a person is really good sheβs a pretty nice person sheβs helped you guys out to saved Kate life and she doesnβt come off as a bitch or an asshole. Bonnie far worse only one person died as a result of her decision. I think itβs pretty stupid i hear people often say that they wish they had the option to kill her that stupid.
Honestly if you chose to kill Conrad she can justify why she did it.

Eleanor and Laney as nickname
We are naming our daughter (due in July) Eleanor after my grandma. We don't care for Ellie or Nora. I have heard/seen the name Laney used as short for Eleanor (though only in 1-2 instances). I think it's super cute, but is it too different of a nickname?
If we don't go with Laney, we'll do a combo of El and Eleanor and call it a day.
