Something I've never heard anything on is how Edmund Kemper did during the years that he was in school. Like did he have good or bad grades? How was he perceived by teachers and peers. I am aware that he scored high on IQ tests.
When you see documentaries or interviews with Edmund Kemper, he seems quite harmless, even sympathetic. In spite of having murdered his grandparents and several innocent women, the narrative he spins about a a difficult childhood involving a domineering mother who continually mocked and demeaned him, who was essentially the root of his pathology seems to successfully petition the empathy of many listeners.
And yet, part of his biography that is commonly repeated is that Kemper had an extremely high IQ and figured out, while he was under mental health supervision following his murder of his grandparents, figured out how to tell his supervisors and therapists what they wanted to hear in order to show the proper degree of progress for release. He secured enough trust from the facility he was remanded to that he was selected to distribute tests that measured the progress of patients in the facility. Through this, he figured out which answers were the correct ones and what not to say.
Even knowing this, so many seem to take his story about his evil mother who was responsible for all his crimes at face value and essentially accept him as a uniquely remorseful and honest serial killer. It seems to me nobody is considering that this man, who successfully manipulated mental health professionals as a young man, did not in fact do exactly the same thing again, creating a narrative that essentially excused him of responsibility for all the evil he did and turned his mother, who as far as we know, never committed any violent crime and in fact, accepted Kemper even after he murdered his grandparents in cold blood and gave him a place to stay, into the supposed villain of his story.
This has been driving me nuts and I just had to get it off of my chest. It bothers me that Kemper seems to have been able to victimize his mother twice over.

I am currently working on a research paper, and I need the testimony of the psychiatrists that testified regarding his state of sanity in order to create a comprehensive forensic profile. Finding information, much less transcripts, from the 1973 trial is extremely difficult for some reason and I would greatly appreciate any help or resources you all are willing to provide!

Here is the word for word medical diagnoses as stated by Presiding Commissioner Fritz at Edmund Kempers 2017 parole hearing, cited from 2017 interview with unnamed psychiatrist. (using mobile, sorry if it looks rough, though this is quoted so any typos are probably typist error)
"Diagnosis is antisocial, narcissistic, and schizotypal personality disorder that’s on page 13. You continue to maintain a rather, um, egocentric stance, appears focused on touting, domination, or manipulation of others. Interpersonally explosive, lacks empathy, tendency to over-personalize situations, has odd beliefs and fantasies, and on thought -- has on thoughts in speech, ongoing suspiciousness, has an appropriate affect related to content, and lacks close friends.
That’s page 13. Historic factors; your PCLR is above the mean of North American male inmates, but below the cutoff for psychopathic personality; that’s page 16. Gives it -- gets into the clinical that’s quite lengthy so I’m not gonna put it on the record, but it is in -- in the record, um, that goes through, um, 20 -- page 21. Um, and then there’s other risk considerations, the medical and elderly parole starts on page 22, says your 68 years old, um, talks about your advancing age and medical problems, um, it says you are -- you do appear significantly, physically restricted, but you are able to move about temporarily without a wheelchair. Um, and some parts crimes are without the need for physical agility or prowess; there is some. Um, there -- uh, a Static-99 was administered. Um, low moderate risk range, page 23.
Uh, risk for future violence in the high risk for violence. Um, the psychologist said that you have spent many years in prison, participated in therapy years ago, um, continue to discuss women rather disrespectfully and with objectification with little evidence of understanding mature relationships, your guided by rather superficial grain -- grandiose delusions of women’s interest in you. Misread cues, if the cues are even there. Uh, ascribe motivations and sentiments to women beyond the information presented. Describe the crimes rather -- rather matter-of-factly with little emotion. Um, and it goes into more lengthy discussions. Um, I’m -- I’m not gonna put them all on the record, but, uh, that’s, wh -- he came to the conclusions for high risk"

Has there been an update on kemper lately? I see throughout his first two decades he did multiple interviews and even narrated a bunch of audiobooks. Only things i have found lately about him are a few parole denials. I guess all of the mental issues he had may have become to much to suppress as he grows older
Clarnell Strandberg was born Clarnell Stage on March 17, 1921. For the most part, knowledge of Strandberg and her personality comes from Kemper himself.
I’m looking for more physical literature about the serial killer Ed kemper but a lot of the books I have been looking at seem very short or not well received. Was wondering if others here found books they thought were informative and well done.
I find it irritating that we only have Kemper's account of his mother as a means of justifying his crimes. In doing so many commentators exonerate Kemper by default, implying if it wasn't for her he would have led a normal life. Now that may well be true, but equally it maybe a detailed manipulation of the public by an articulate psychopath. What independent accounts do we have that back up Kemper's assertions?

I see this man's photo all over the internet, incorrectly tagged as Edmund Kemper III (serial killer, currently serving life in prison at the CMF Vacaville, CA.)
I am a stickler for facts. So, to me, it is not enough to simply say, "That's not Ed." I hope to be able to prove who it really is.
The earliest post of this photo I found online was in 2011 on a law enforcement message board. The photo was posted in a hypothetical "line-up" with other photos, asking, "Which one is a cop killer?" I tried to contact the person who posted it, to no avail. I mean it was posted ten years ago, after all.
Does anyone know this face? I am guessing He may be a law enforcement officer (retired by now) in Wisconsin or a drunk driver who killed a family. These are the hints I found through too many hours of amateur sleuthing.
