So the Ed's hatch a scheme to steal what they think is a jawbreaker and they actually succeed. Goku chases them suddenly, trying to get his Grandpa's Dragon Ball back.
Through some confusion of events, the rest of the kids in the Cul'desac come to the Eds defense and the only way for Goku to get his Dragon Ball back is to fight all of them.
- The culdesac kids get any rage boosts/gadgets/vehicles they've had, Ed gets a pebble in his shoe - they're bloodlusted basically.
- Double D has time (as he usually does) to whip together any gadget or protective suit he designed in the show proper
- can Kid Goku survive the almighty THREE SHOE beating?
Think about what happens in the finale and the follow up we see in El Camino. His probably most risky client ever leaves hiding to come back to where he is the most wanted man in the city (state? region? entire country?) and kills a whole bunch of people. It is all over the news the next day. They even find Walt's stolen car which points toward New Hampshire.
And for Ed the next day? Just business as usual. For both his legal and illegal businesses. I'd be shitting bricks at that point, Hightailing it cross country to get to that shack in New Hampshire to remove any evidence. Maybe burn the whole thing to the ground. Who knows how many of Walt's fingerprints are on either copy of Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. But not Ed. He is still out there not only trying to sell overpriced Dyson's to old ladies, but taking in the city's SECOND most wanted man the very next day!
Didn't even raise his price for that second most wanted man! I'd have said "That partner of yours has gotten me in a big mess. And created a bigger one for you. You want my services, you owe me $125,000 for the first pickup, and $200,000 for this one."
