I pointed my backyard telescope at a seemingly empty part of the sky for 7 hours to get this image. This is a part of the extremely faint dust surrounding the Taurus constellation, and the nebula in the middle of the picture is known as 'Baby eagle nebula'. Can you make out the baby eagle?

My newest list, The amazingly beautiful Eagle nebula, M16, is an emission and star forming region. Its size is about 70 light years across and it is located around 6000 light years from earth. At the heart of the Eagle nebula are the famous Pillars of Creation ne

This image shows knots of cold, dense interstellar gas where new stars are forming. These Free-floating Evaporating Gaseous Globules (frEGGs) were first seen in Hubbleβs famous 1995 image of the Eagle Nebula. Because these lumps of gas are dark, they are rarely seen by telescopes. ( see comments)

Mission log 10.04.3307, the U.S.S. Discovery finally made it to the "Great Annihilator" after several days of jumps, charting stars and planets along the way. Pit stop at a station in the Eagle Nebula. Special shoutout to Cmdr Granolaguy and his carrier Zero Dawn XNT-08K. Was able to repair, ty :)
