wondering how this system works: say im on a tollway and i get ez tagged via camera. i get off for gas nearby, then get back on the tollway. will i be charged twice, or is there some sort of cooldown?

I applied and got approved for ez pass, i registered my car and everything but my tag still hasn’t arrived. I put down money in my account just in case. -

• if i were to take an Ez pass toll now without my tag would it be charged as a fine or be deducted from my account ?

So I have two EZ Pass tags, one NJ and one NY, since the latter gets discounts on NY bridges and tunnels and the NJ one gets turnpike discounts.

I usually switch off as needed keeping the unused one in one of those RFID blocking bags that the tags come in.

What would happen if I entered the NJ Turnpike using the NY tag by accident and exited the turnpike using the NJ tag? Would they be able to charge it correctly on the back end with the license plate?

This happened and I decided to keep the NY tag on but would like to know for future reference as I would have much preferred to have the turnpike toll charged to the NJ tag.

What toll road system does have a better coverage? And has less problems between other systems?

I was told by the Ft. Bend Tolls operator that the TxTag does not have problems reading other systems and billing each other. Any thoughts?

I am having a BAD experience with EZ-Tag. When I pass fwy-99 tolls (Ft. Bend Tolls) the EZ-Tag does not process Ft.Bend charges and forces me to may them MANUALLY. That is not acceptable, it diminishes the whole idea of a toll-tag/credit card monthly balance service.

I haven’t received my tag yet and it’s been about a week don’t know how long it generally takes. should i be good to go through tolls as long as my plate is on file?

Hello all, I have heard Houston tollways are free for disabled veterans with disabled veteran plates. Does this mean I can start using the tollways for free already have the required plates? Or do I still need to go register for an EZ tag first before I am allowed to ride for free?

The Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) has updated the terms of the EZ TAG Account holder agreement to improve service to our customers. The changes to the agreement are intended to provide more flexibility for new and existing EZ TAG accounts.

Below are some of the key changes:

Lower Minimum Toll Balance

The minimum prepaid toll balance (rebill amount) is now $20 for up to two vehicles.

The EZ TAG Agreement includes a chart that explains the minimum toll balance required for the number of vehicles on an account. The replenishment (rebill) amount will NOT automatically update for existing EZ TAG accounts.

Learn more about updating your replenishment amount here. Lower EZ TAG Sticker Fee No charge for new EZ TAGs (sticker tags) for up to eight (8) per account, and $2.00 for each tag thereafter. This is me just rambling about what I read in the manga up to the current chapter. Quick disclaimer. I like the series so far. I like it more than Fairy Tail. I can say that cause I read the FT manga and watched the anime series. FT was pretty bad but this subreddit is about EZ so sorry for making the comparisons. But can you blame me? Or anyone else who makes such comparisons?

I’ve been reading the EZ manga series and I have mixed feelings about it. It made me uncomfortable especially during the Drakken Joe (Did I said his name wrong? Ah whatever he’s a scum bag) story arc when things got nutty. But...I oddly like that.

FT’s theme is all about the “power of friendship” and it’s been laughed at and memes and even now most manga/anime fans can’t take that seriously. In EZ yeah sure friends are a big factor in the series but “the power of friendship” isn’t always going to win battles. (I’m going to put a spoiler tag just in case) Can anyone imagine if Rebecca didn’t have time reverse powers? What if the series kept going despite Shiki the main character is actually dead cause he got shot with a handgun of all things that go on in the series, a handgun (yeah adding the spoiler tag is a good idea). I mean yeah again, Rebecca’s time powers allowed her to go back to the past and change her friends future and I’m not against the good guys winning fights. But the Drakken Joe story arc was a mix of aspects that made me uncomfortable but I got a feeling to keep reading to see where the story goes.

FT isn’t a stranger to getting “brutal” or “nutty” but the series doesn’t cross the line or at least get to close to it. EZ ALMOST went near that “line”. Am I making sense to anyone?

Funny how the first few chapters of FT, I just didn’t like the main characters Natsu & Lucy at all. How they talk to each other, how they handle themselves in a fight and so on. All throughout the series as they “progressed”, they didn’t “vibe” with me.

Not with EZ. By the tike I hit chapter 2 I immediately liked Rebecca and Happy. She’s not “spineless” like Lucy. And Shiki isn’t a total meathead like Natsu. And Homura is more mature than Erza. And I know Erza had her moments and they’re pretty good, but Homura’s moments are so great not only she develops as a character, she’s becoming more and more of a mature young women who isn’t going to let her own past tie her down. Mature enough to make peace with her scum bag mother who treated her like a doll most of her childhood. And

Since it’s free for 30 days! I was smiling ear to ear, lived here since 99 never took the ez tag toll roads, but I had to drive to tomball, normally a 55 min drive, but took me 42 instead! It was so empty and some parts looked like I was in a new country. And I made faces and smiled at every camera that was flashing. It was pretty exciting.

Have had the EZ tag for years but keep getting bills in the mail for TX TAG. I’d like one toll road tag on my windshield so can I just get the TX TAG and it will cover me for all EZ Tag tolls?

Edit: after being on the phone with both toll authorities for 2 hours they both claim they both work for the same tolls, and I figured out the bill. Will probably switch to TX tag in the future if I’m able to get the balance in my current ez tag account transferred or returned, just not today because I’m done dealing with them.

I know you can purchase online. But aren’t there also places you can just walk in and purchase a tag without waiting for it to be mailed.

Does anyone know of any locations to purchase one. The closer to Jersey City, the better. Thanks for taking time to read.

Texas EZ tag requires the sticker to be to the right of the rear view mirror. The dealership told me that I shouldn’t put anything there since it might interfere with the eyesight. Has anyone had trouble with either the eyesight working or the tollway not capturing/charging you correctly?

I know you can’t transfer a tag to another car but can I stick the same tag on a new windshield of the same car or would I need to buy a brand new tag?

I was just reviewing transaction in the month of february and I saw 4 transactions in one day whereas I only hit 3 tolls that day.

I called them right way and turns out one of the duplicate transaction was "AVI" meaning it captured the tag itself and the other was "VTOLL AVI" meaning it captured the license plate.

The operator told me they were having a lot of issues with duplicate transactions for the month of february because they are in the process of upgrading their database. For a government agency, these guys come off shady as fuck.

I plan on going through the past 6 months at least and see how many duplicate transactions there have been. I advise you to do the same.

Has anyone had issues using TxTag in Houston? I thought it was acceptable but I just had to login and pay a toll online that should have been covered. It's also showing my EZtag as having a balance of $10.90 but I put $40 in my TxTag. Do they not talk to each other?

so I got pulled over on an ez tag toll for not having an ez tag. honestly did not know thought they were all pay by mail of you didn't have the tag. he wrote me a citation but what happens from here?

said I had a court date but is there a way to lay the fine without going to court?

So what should have been a 30 minute trip ended up being over an hour. I live on Beltway 8 North and 59 and work up in The Woodlands and had to get a ride to work today, so I took Uber.

The route is basically all tolls (8 to Hardy) and the route clearly shows that. It's not until we are about to get onto the Beltway that I realize he has no EZ Tag.

Practically speaking, how does one drive for Uber in Houston without an EZ Tag and still maintain a 4.8 rating? I understand that this post is just a whine-fest, but I've taken Uber probably 50 times in Houston, and this is the first time it has ever happened.

Quick question. About 2 years ago I was using EZ Tag a lot and realized quickly I was spending too much money a month to just drive on a road. I deactivated my EZ Tag so I wouldn't be tempted to use it again for convenience.

There were times though where I said **** it and used the beltway anyway and ended up racking up what I thought was a lot of charges. At one point I got an invoice in the mail saying I owed aroudn $400 once you account for late fees and the fifty quadrillion other random fees they tack on. (Even though I maybe only had 4 or 5 violations).

Either way I set it aside and forgot about it (Or ignored it) until today. I went to go bite the bullet and pay off whatever I owed them on the website and it showed I owed $3.80. This doesn't make any sense to me. If I go to the yearly statements it shows my account used the toll in 2015 and 2016 and made all the required timely payments for those invoices. Everything looked fine outside of my account not being active.

My first thought was that HCTRA sold my debts to a 3rd party collector or something but I haven't heard a single thing from anyone about it and there are no marks on my credit report. I don't want this looming over me and to eventually be pulled over and taken to jail for fines I couldn't figure out how to pay. Anyone have any idea?

I have the take the Sam Houston toll way to get to my college. I am unsure if I just get the eztag or the txtag? What's the difference?

I live in channelview off crosby frwy and actually off bw8 but I dont take the the toll way, I take 610s then get on 225 to get my job in La Porte. Im seeing if maybe I should just get an ez tag and my bf works off bw8 and 225 at the shell and he doesn't see a need for the ez tag for himself.
