So my wife comes home and finds me passed out on the couch with blood all around my face, all over the couch. Wakes me up and I start coughing up blood all over the room. I had stopped drinking alcohol a few days prior, and had not been able to eat or sleep much during this time. I was feeling pretty lightheaded this particular day, almost like I was going to faint, so I had her drop me off at home so I could lie down.
Apparently, while laying down on my side I had a seizure (which Iโve never really had before) and bit the absolute fucking shit out of my tongue and then passed out. She is obviously totally freaked out. We had to go to the ER, and now I canโt eat or drink without tremendous pain. And I canโt talk at all. I had to type all my messages to the doctors or have my wife talk for me. And itโs kind of an embarrassing thing. Luckily I didnโt need stitches but it was right on the line. And now I have to take the week off work because I canโt talk at all.
I think that means the hard part is over though, so I now be (mostly) sober
TL;DR: ended my alcoholism cold Turkey, had pretty serious withdrawal symptoms, ended up having a seizure and biting the shit out of my tongue causing a bloody mess and now I canโt talk for a week.
Edit: I really appreciate the advice, support, and awards! And although alcoholism and withdrawal are certainly serious subjects, I meant this story more as a comedy and story of overcoming adversity. And maybe a cautionary tale so others can do it in a more healthy way than me.

On a serious note, I'm afraid of the plasma rifle returning - not worried about it being OP (obviously), i'm afraid of it being a bit underwhelming. Every plasma rifle recreation has been a borderline failure, except for the pulse carbine, when compared to the other automatic weapons. Storm rifle did pretty well, but didn't really fit the covenant aesthetic imo.
This was a bit of a mistake on my part I gave the players the option on what they could trade her classics such as their last breath (only 2 death saves) their luck (player can no longer benefit for critical strikes) etc. But I didn't really have a plan for the shadow but I'm fairly sure there are some nasty and nefarious things that can be done with it ,such as being more susceptible to possession by a shadow demon, im just having trouble tracking down the info on what significance shadow holds in dnd lore. Any advice or links to lore are appreciated.

It can take me more than an hour to create a cover letter. I have a template, but Iโm editing it each time I apply somewhere to answers the companyโs questions or my experience in what they are looking for.
It slow down my search process for what? Getting rejected.
For real, I spend days working hard to make a great cover letter for nothing.
Most times I see a post for 40 calorie brownies, fake ice cream, etc., the caption is always something like "Only 40 calories a serving and sooo good!".
Come on now, I've tried a bevy of these healthy/low-cal substitutes. Some of them are decent, some are kind of good, some suck. I haven't tried any that compare to a huge ribeye, or a decadent chocolate cake, or pork fried wontons, and that's just fine! We eat these low-cal foods to lose weight and enjoy them well enough. A post loses credibility when it claims to be something on par with the full flavored/high calorie deliciousness that we all know and love.
Can't we just post these recipes and pictures with the proper captions of "Healthy potstickers- not as good as the real thing but they taste similar and pretty good for 1/3rd of the calories. If you're craving take out and need something to tie you over without ruining your calorie intake, this is it."
