A list of puns related to "Dinitz"
I saw a few reviews of Dinitz back in 2019, but I'm curious how they are holding up so far. I also saw a lot of listings of Dinitz in the second markets. Any noticeable cons that long-term users can share?
Hi All. First post and new to Veilance having picked up a few things in the sales post Christmas. Delighted with everything i've bought so far but still coming to terms with the pricing, which is significantly higher than anything else I own! I know opinions on pricing are very personal (and maybe a bit irritating to some) but to digress on that a bit further, the uplift from RRP to you North American Customers and us in the UK/EU is annoyingly large and weirdly inconsistent. And I can't get my head around why a long sleeve frame should cost so much more than a short sleeve frame, but anyway...
My justification for splurging on myself is the fact that I can get a decent chunk back by reselling it down the line. So that gets me to the Dinitz. I'm really keen on the look of it (in Deep Navy) but even with the current 30% offer it is Β£280 (c$390) in the UK.
So what i'm keen to know from anyone who has owned one (for over a year or so) is...does it retain its appearance and general condition after several washes or is there significant fading/pilling? Thanks
Ps, for no reason other than i'm proud of them... : ) my pick ups so far, in order of preference, have been:
Mionn IS overshirt in Mauve Sand; Mionn IS Pant Dusk; Haedn OS Ash (second hand ebay); Conduit AR Nebula; Frames (Sediment polo, sediment SS, Deep Navy LS); Indisce pant and blazer (sediment)
Happy to share any views on them.
I haven't had much chance to wear the Indisce pair yet and I expect to mostly wear them separately. I'm well aware they're not the most versatile and the blazer in particular may fall down on the re-sale point but I got them both at 50% off and I think I got a bit carried away after loving my earlier purchases!! Still fairly confident I won't have buyer's regret with either of them though - they're excellent quality pieces.
WTS:
Monitor IS SL, large, new with tags. Bought for my dad and he was horrified by it. $sold.
Dinitz Comp, black, new with tags, Medium. $250 +shipping. Or lowball me, whatever.
I am not asking about double jeopardy or the significance of the case, but does anyone know anything more about Dinitz or Maurice Wagner? I wondered what Wagner said that was so offensive. The footnote says indicated that Dinitz was an LSD dealing 3L so I wonder if the two knew each other personally. I started googling, but have not found much.

What's the recommended temperature rating for the Dinitz Comp Jacket? I'm really digging it as a layering piece and might want to pick one up, but I live in the American Southeast and I'm not sure if our winters gets cold enough to warrant it.
To anyone who has one, what's the warmest temperature you'd be comfortable wearing it in? And how warm is it compared to other well known Veilance pieces (Mionn, Isogon, etc)?
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

Nothing, he was gladiator.
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.
What did 0 say to 8 ?
" Nice Belt "
So What did 3 say to 8 ?
" Hey, you two stop making out "
I won't be doing that today!

Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
