Wouldn't new players need those resources? My pickaxe weeps for the waste, it was a very un rock'n stone experience.
So, since some biomes on Hoxxes got different versions of Exploders, it'd make sense that Bulk Detonators would also be affected somewhat. So here's a few ideas for biome-specific variants;
- Fungus Bogs - Bloated and filled with sticky goo. Explosion isn't as wide as the default BD but anything touched by it will be covered in sticky goo which makes traversal around the crater difficult.
- Radioactive Exclusion Zone - Shining like a bright star of irradiated light. Detonates in a nuclear explosion that leaves a long-lasting radioactive field afterwards for everyone to enjoy, akin to the Fat Boy.
- Crystalline Caverns/Salt Pits - Carapace is covered with small spiky crystals. Its as tough as the Crassus Bulk Detonator. On death, it sends crystals out like shrapnel, imbedding themselves into walls, dwarfs and bugs alike. Its explosion is smaller than the default one.
- Dense Biozone/Fungus Bogs/Azure Weald - Covered with parasitic vegetation. Leaves a cloud of toxic smoke as it waddles along. On death, toxic clouds start spreading out and covering a vast area around the crater.
- Hollow Bough - Thorny vines have taken root in its flesh and carapace. Apart from constantly shooting out sharp thorns at anything around it while alive, the thorns will behave like shrapnel upon its death.

I’m kinda eh with the detonator but obviously I can use the scorch shot like everyone else.
Thing is I keep seeing people make crazy phlog plays with the detonator that they definitely couldn’t pull off with just the scorch shot jump.
If I was good with both, which one would I get more out of? Is the detonator’s jump too niche or does it come into play often enough to make it more worthwhile than the SS?
Not sure why someone put their mic in last minute to blame me, the driller, when I wasn't near the Drilldozer. It also wouldn't have mattered how much life the detonator had, the end of phase explosion would have killed it right? We had an engineer who wouldn't put platform's up, unless it was to get themselves red sugar, in fact when I would point out high up minerals in front of the engineer, they would turn and also laser point them too... as a joke? Idek. Someone kept taking two resupllies every time and as I would be drilling up to minerals I kept having 0 ammo. The host was a three promotion scout who had to be picked up every few minutes because they fell from the sky and the other scout I think was a relatively low level with no issue I saw...

We've been seeing two to three every mission, often two at the same time on Haz 4. Is this a bug or does it have something to do with the Lunar event? Or are we just beating the odds somehow?
I'm actually kind of shocked that I've never seen this idea put forth: Crassus Detonator variants. Croppa Detonator, Umanite Detonator, BISMOR! Detonator, the list goes on. I think this would be awesome.
