A list of puns related to "Destiny 2"
You never played Destiny 2 before and want to experience the story mode and the lore? Well too bad, it's gone now because you missed it and didn't play earlier to experience the original campaign. It's gone for good now.
Oh, you want this good-looking Weapon? Tough luck, the gun was only available for a limited time and can never be obtained in any circumstance anymore. You missed it for good.
The story campaign is tied to various Seasons and Battle Pass, you missed out and want to experience past campaigns? Sorry bud, it's not available anymore due to lore and game changes.
You just bought an unsold physical copy of Expansion Year 1 and Year 2 and want to start playing it right now? Sorry the burst your bubble bud, but that expansion is long gone... It's been vaulted for good. You had to be there...
You had to be there for what? A piece of cinematic and a bunch of "important" content that can only be experienced once?
I didn't ask for any of these FOMO shenanigans, I remember Games as a Service isn't entirely dependent/built on FOMO...
My backlog is fucked.
Edit: FOMO = Fear Of Missing Out
Edit 2: Didn't expect many people who actually agrees with me. Thanks so much!

The Moon:
Title.
After a long break from gaming, I wanted to get back. So I downloaded destiny 2, started playing. I finished the advent mission and I'm at the tower for the first time ever.
I have no idea what I'm doing. What is the traveler? What is Light? Who are the fallen? Why the hell am I fighting some Navota.
Did I miss anything? Should I have started Destiny 1 before this?
Also I watched a few videos of destiny 2 gameplay and most of them start with the attack on the city.
However, I started off in the cosmodrome.
Please link any guides below.
Thanks in advance!
A recent announcement by Microsoft (linked here) has announced that free-to-play games on Xbox will no longer require Xbox Live Gold to play Multiplayer. Included in this list is Destiny 2.
This will also unlock the Xbox LFG system as well as in-game party chat for those games.
One week later and I still cannot play Destiny 2βmy favorite game. The game still crashes my Xbox Series X whenever I try loading in to the first seasonal mission. I thought for sure it would be fixed with the update at the end of last week, especially when they wrote this line in the TWAB: >We had some Honeydew errors early on, but our team of experts buckled down to commune with our servers and fix the issues so you could get back to playing. Our deepest apologies to anyone who had their gameplay delayed. Check out the Player Support Report below for the latest on any ongoing issues we are tracking. > > >Despite some hiccups, the Season is in full swing now! Here is a quick look at everything the new Season Pass has to offer.
But, unfortunately not. The bolded line (emphasis mine) was especially frustrating because the season is certainly not in full swing because some of us still can't play the game!
Then I thought there would be no way it would still be broken with the update today (3.2.0.1). Nope, still broken.
I have tried restarting my console, waiting at the title screen for 5 minutes, waiting at character select screen for 5 minutes, waiting in orbit for 5 minutes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Destiny, cleared the "Persistent Storage" in the Blu-Ray settings, powered down and unplugged the console for more than 2 minutes, deleted the Save File. None of these things have helped fix the issue. I have maybe 20 friends on Xbox Live and out of those 20, maybe 5 play Destiny 2, so I wouldn't think it has to do with the issues many people have had with too many friends online playing D2.
I have posted to the Destiny Help Forums on bungie.net. And looking through the console support pages, there does seem to be others out there with similar issues, so I know I'm not alone in this.
I am able to play on Xbox Cloud Streaming, but that is defin

There are plenty of white, green and blue guns/armor that only see the light of day right now to new players.
When players reach the "real game" any rarity under legendary is effectively useless removing a lot of weapons and armor from the game.
Blues after having full purple gear just feel like a slap in the face when they drop during activities.
Bungie needs to just kill off the other rarities or give us some sort of path to upgrade an item to higher rarities.
At this point I'd settle for just being able to infuse the other rarities.
Or better yet, if we had an the option to auto dismantle blues, let us do that!
Edit: STOP telling me that "OtHEr gAMes dO IT tHiS wAy." Destiny is NOT like other games, and even if it has similar systems so what? Why can't THIS game have a different system.
Still can't require that you have Gjallarhorn, though...

I never played any Destiny games. Is the current destiny 2 worth on PS5? I played the mobile game shadowgun legends and I found it really interesting to play with other players and try to do the quests together (with strangers).
So is it worth to start playing this game now in 2021?
Every season weβve had a new exotic HC ornament with 23 in total. Thatβs 9 more then the second exotic weapon type, scout rifles. I get that we love hand cannons, but can we give our other exotics some love as well?
Edit: Iβve had to fix this so many times now because of typos.
Edit: Oh my, this certainly has become popular. I just wish my other posts got this much traction. Thanks everybody.
I just want Bungie to know that despite the front page of r/DTG being universally filled by criticism of the new Transmog system, that there are people, including me, who feel this game is going in the right direction and that Bungie is doing great things. Transmog was something that I always wanted but didn't necessarily know that I wanted until it was announced. Now that it is out, and even though I am a little disappointed at the cap, I am still excited and ready to make my Guardian look good, and I already have the armor in mind, once I collect the new Titan legs.
That leads me to my next appreciative comment: Legend/Master Lost Sectors. I am not a pure solo player, in fact, raids and dungeons are pretty much my favorite parts of the game, aside from PvP. However, the addition of albeit challenging solo activities to get the new Armor is a big step in the right direction. This allows solo players to get into endgame content, and it can also ease them into being more willing to play with a group on Nightfalls, Dungeons, and Raids.
Speaking of raids, Deep Stone Crypt is probably my favorite raid to date. The fact that it's directly connected to the Beyond Light story is a really good part of the raid, and the aesthetic of the raid is also top-tier. The moment when you defeat Atraks and walk out into space, and Deep Stone Lullaby starts playing, is my favorite moment out of all Destiny 2 raids so far. The not-as-difficult encounter design also allows for people who aren't as experienced with raiding or are getting into raiding for the first time to have an enjoyable and not demanding experience. Also, the fact that Vault of Glass is returning on May 22nd is really excited for me. I never got to play Destiny 1, so the fact that I'll soon be able to play the raid that is pretty much universally considered to be the activity that saved Destiny 1 at launch is something I am very much looking forward to.
Another thing I am loving is the vastly upgraded storytelling during Beyond Light, Season of the Chosen, and Season of the Splicer. I'm glad that the expansive lore is showing up in-game far more often than in previous seasons and expansions, and that we're learning more about our enemies and allying with them, even if the alliances are shaky in the case of the Vanguard and Caiatl. Also, the Darkness story escalating and Savathun's influence gradually growing as the Seasons go by before The Witch Queen is really engaging to follow.

The issue would be even bigger if people could actually purchase new video cards. I just want to play the DLC and season passes I paid for, right now my season passes are just going to waste. There is over 30 pages of complaints about the issue over at Bungie forums https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/257630620?sort=0&page=0 I would just like an update or something on the issue. For Radeon 5000 series you can use a really old drivers 20.4.2 to help with the issue somewhat. Driver 20.4.2 doesn't work with Radeon 6000 series so there's no work around there. Please Bungie I just want an update!
Thank you for the silver Guardians! Gonna get some transmogs if they ever fix the game.....
Title. Back in Destiny 1, Auto Rifles had a 900RPM archetype, which Atheon's Epilogue was. In Destiny 2, these were presumably turned into SMGs. While it is possible Epilogue will be a new 900RPM archetype in Destiny 2, that new archetype would probably be "Rapid Fire", which is presently in use by 720RPM Autos. Maybe 720RPM Autos will be renamed to "Lightweight" and 900RPMs will become "Rapid Fire"? Will this step on the toes of SMGS? Maybe Epilogue will just be 720? They did say they wanted Fatebringer to behave as it did in D1, so it wouldn't make sense to change the fire rate of another raid weapon.
Corrective Measure fell in as a fast firing MG but not as fast as the 900RPM MGs which exist in both Destiny 1 and 2. In Destiny 2, the second fastest firing MGs are the 450 Precision frames, and if memory serves, Corrective Measure shot closer to 600 or 720RPM. For this they will likely just make a new archetype, but I am curious as to what they'll do with both of these.
As far as the rest, Fatebringer will certainly be a 140, Vision of Confluence will be a 180, Timepiece will probably be a 450, Praetorian Foil will probably be a High Impact, Found Verdict will probably be a 55, Praedyth's Revenge will probably be a 90, and who knows about Hezen Vengeance.
Disclaimer: This is a very carefully thought-out and absolutely objective analysis of the current state of Destiny's stream and how it will benefit by him switching from League of Legends over to Dota 2. My personal preferences and experience have in no way, shape or form affected the verdict of this analysis.
So, yeah, Tiago should function like Xur in Destiny 2, the legendries he offers should be weakly rotative and at least one should be guaranteed to be new. I am not saying I prefer Destiny over Outriders, I do not, I am done with Bungie, they butchered the game and keep doing it for the sake of greed, but isn't the recipe for success to learn from other's mistakes but also from the other's good deeds? I mean, at this point, Tiago is pretty much useless...

The cross-platform play that is live this week was NOT intended to go live yet, and Bungie plans to patch this out of public access later. Bungie community manager Cozmo emphasizes that experiences this week are not indicative of the final product. Rise up guardians, it looks like the beta for cross-platform multiplayer is opening up on Google Stadia! Don't know how long this will last, or if/when various platforms will be included in the pool. It looks like they still have some kinks to work out, but be aware, it's live!
^(Warlocks are the best!~) See you in the Crucible!
Edit - Disclaimer: I know my hardware is bad. But that's not the point. The point is that Stadia can perform darn well despite of bad hardware and get excellent end-to-end response times that prove that Cloud Gaming is viable.
After my first post yesterday I decided to compare Destiny 2 which is free on both platform and provide visual proof.
Hypothesis: Is it possible that some people say 'I don't notice the latency on Stadia' because it can actually perform better than on local hardware?
To test the overall latency from the moment a button is pressed to the moment the action appears on the screen I've recorded a video of my computer screen while pressing a very clicky button. Then, using video editing software I've measured the time from the moment the click is registered in the audio waveform to the moment the action is visible on the screen.
Note: this comparison was made on a non-gamer laptop. However, it still shows that for people like me playing on Stadia is actually better in terms of response.
Scroll down to see more details of the comparison and also images!

... keep reading on reddit β‘So, in the sandbox preview TWAB, Bungie announced that Bastion was getting a nerf, a 13% increase to the spread of the cone on it's shots. Now at it's face, that doesn't sound like a lot, but any fusion rifle player will tell you that that increase will make the gun a lot less consistent, in an already inconsistent type of gun. Bungie cited "Higher than normal usage in PvP" as the reason for this nerf, and by the sounds of it, they want to hit it more later ("so are making a small change here and will revisit Bastion later"). This is what I would really like to dive into right now.
I don't know why Bungie is surprised that Bastion has higher than normal usage when it is literally the ONLY KINETIC FUSION RIFLE, and we are currently in the Season of the Energy weapons. So if someone who enjoys fusions gets a fancy new Igneous Hammer or Bottom Dollar, doesn't like Astral and/or is bad at sniping, they will probably reach for the Bastion.
Not only that, but currently there is only two truly viable fusion rifles in the game right now, and one of those two is a legendary you can't even get anymore. Glacioclasm is a really good fusion rifle, the successor of the Legend himself: the Erintil FR4. The only problem is, it's a dawning exclusive, which means that until December you won't be able to get your hands on one, and even then you have to turn over a metric ton of cookies in those 3 weeks and PRAY that you get a Glacio and then PRAY that it has relevant perks. Fusion rifle aficionados have been left pretty aggressively in the dust since sunsetting, and now Bungie is nerfing the one gun that is accessible to players who might want to try fusions. Other archetypes of fusions aren't even anywhere close to being competitive, inconsistencies and issues with range when shotguns like Felwinters exist make them hilariously irrelevant. Therefore, if you want to play with fusions at any kind of competitive level, the only options are Glacioclasm, or Bastion, and if you're a new player your only option is Bastion.
I know Bastion gets a lot of hate, a lot of players don't like it, and that's fine, I understand it can be annoying to play against. I would argue that instead of nerfing a unique exotic, a better option would be to look into introducing more Fusion Rifles into the game, and make them accessible more than 3 weeks out of the year.
It's become a meme around here, "Due to the prominence of 120 RPM Hand Cannons we've decided to nerf fusion rifles".
... keep reading on reddit β‘I've watched a lot of videos that claim to show the EASY way to dominate bosses and drown in filthy lucre. All you need to do is use this exact class and this set of unobtainable CWL mods and that weapon you can only get from the raid.
As a counter point, some highly skilled players post videos of themselves with basic equipment, e.g. running Harbinger 80 points under-level, or with nothing but blue gear. While watching Esoterickk destroy raid bosses solo with a toothpick is fun and educational, it doesn't directly translate to something I can do.
The fundamental problem is that my 50th birthday is in the rear-view mirror, and I was never that great in the first place. I've been playing FPS games for 40 years (Battlezone counts!), and at no point have I been highlight-reel material.
I'm not bad at the game. Sometimes I could be mistaken for being good at it. Other times I just feel like I'm... mildly inept.
To make matters worse, I don't even have a lot of the fancy gear. I played heavily for a few months when Destiny 2 first came out, then I stopped for about 3 years, then I started again in late December. Because of sunsetting, nerfing, and Armor 2.0, all of my gear was junk. I still only have about half of the CWL and WM mods. I find that raids have an unfavorable stress-to-fun ratio, so I don't do those.
I refuse to believe I'm unique in my mild ineptitude, so I figured I'd try my hand at making some videos that demonstrate how to do some of the medium-difficulty content without needing a specific build, fancy gear, fancy skills, or a fireteam. Notably:
While the popular streamers can strip off the fancy gear, they can't downgrade their talent and skills. With my aging reflexes and indifferent talent, you can be assured that following in my footsteps is entire plausible.
All videos were narrated in real time. I haven't tried to talk and play at the same time before, and the results were about what I expected... sometimes words no go good huh where was I? But for the most part the narration is coherent and possibly even useful.
Q: Is D2MI right for me?
A: If you can blaze through lost sectors at Master difficulty, congratulations, you don't need this. If you struggle to run lost sectors at normal difficulty, you probably need to improve your skills first. If you think th

You can't play the campaign stuff anymore and a lot of the worlds are locked away as well. So what's the point of selling it anymore? Sure beyond light is in it but Shadowkeep and Forsaken are basically there to up the price aren't they? Considering their missing a huge portion of those expansions.
This is an update to the old compilation I made back in September 2020.There are 69 new outfits ^(haha nice)
It's divided by class and in chronological-ish order. Every outfit prior to updating has notes and retrospectives from the previous version of the compilation, but for all the new outfits added I've simply linked their respective /r/DestinyFashion post for those interested in their notes as my main focus is currently split between prepping for an interview and prepping for my final in a course I'm in - I'll have retrospectives for the rest of them added here soon. While I intended on doing this after I reached 200 outfits, I decided instead to get it out now.
There's 67 Hunters, 45 Titans, and 61 Warlocks. There are two additional outfits that aren't included in my post list as they were part of a collection I ended up scrapping.

Iβve been really itching to play Destiny 2 lately, but a part of me keeps from playing the game. Iβll probably play when the next season drops, but idk whatβs keeping me from playing it now.
Edit: Wow, I didnβt expect the post to get so much attention. Looks like there really is an issue like this with everyone.
