A list of puns related to "Department of Transport (West Bengal)"
Time to bust the fake narratives being put out by media and social media.
Youths as small 13 were seen burning and destroying trains, station, city infrastructure and the worst of them all blocking an ambulance and trashing the drivers and cop. These politicians are doing nothing but communal politics to gain clout. Same goes for Delhi protest. People need to stop blaming the police for doing their job. You can't expect to quell a violent protest/riots with peace and love message. (Once again there are 100s of videos showing the violence instigated by the students). KEJRIWAL can't blame the central govt when his own MLAs are caught red handed igniting riots on communal bases. MHA and IB are not idiots they know you can't assemble 5000 people out of thin air and that too over night in particular areas. Also Congress can't say democracy is in danger when pure hooliganism is taking place and police are being threated for doing their Job. Also BJP can't blame anyone else but themselves for not putting out the facts and blasting them everywhere to avoid misinformation.
West Bengal state transport department has an innovative idea to save the environment. They planned to introduce 80 electric buses in Kolkata. These buses are claimed to be noiseless and zero-pollution vehicles. Air-pollution is a true concern and it is needless to say that the environmental-conscious government has started to think about the imminent problem long before it affect the general population. With years of rigorous study and consultation, the state transport department has finally realized that electric vehicle (EV) is the right way to go. Electric Vehicles are less pollutant than combustion engines and it is zero pollution vehicles. But EVs have some serious drawbacks.
Combustion engines make loud noises. They produce the well-known broom, broom sound along with monstrous vibrations. The sound and vibration are very comforting and assuring elements of a journey. West Bengal state transport department being well aware of these aesthetic aspects of combustion engines got exceedingly annoyed when it learned that EVs do not produce much of a sound of this sort.
We, the people of Bengal, enjoy cacophony. We do not sleep despite the cacophony, rather we sleep with the aid of noise. The real charm of celebrating any occasion in Bengal is in producing monstrous sounds and letting people know that something is being celebrated. It is a cultural thing, which people from other parts of the world would not understand. So, when transport department learned that EVs do not contribute to the noise pollution, quite understandably, they got exceedingly concerned. It would be a disgrace and gross neglect of civic responsibilities if such a quiet mode of transportation is allowed in the streets of Kolkata. Something needs to be done to mend the mistake of such inconsiderate invention.
The department is not void of dynamism or responsibility. After a prolonged debate, during the course of which several ingenious propositions had been discussed and ultimately rejected, a consensus seems to be achieved. Not that all other proposals were nonsensical, most of them were innovative enough to merit further considerations. For instance, the idea of installing an MP3 player which will produce a recorded sound of the combustion engine and thus giving a false sense of comfort was almost accepted. But this grand idea is most probably rejected on the ground that the great mass of the population might misjudge the idea as ridiculous owing to the lack of acoustic aest
... keep reading on reddit β‘I've noticed since Willigee moved to cockburn (much to my displeasure) there aren't any licensing centres open on Saturdays anymore.
8:15 to 4:30 weekdays also makes it hard for your average Joe who can't always take time off.
Ahh well when i do go in to submit the application form to change class I'll hear the comments from people waiting in line about cuishy public servant jobs.
Anyone else find it hard they don't open on a Saturday or are too far away?
