I got a letter this morning from the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, and the letter is addressed to a company/corp that I've never heard of in my life. My actual address on the letter is correct, but no one in my family is a business owner. The letter itself is legit, not a scam. I will call them when they're open, but for now I'm wondering if there's any other way I can try to fix this online or something.
It's freaking me out because the accountant my family used forgot a lot of stuff and we had to pay a lot of late fees to the IRS the previous summer. I think the Department of Taxation and Finance mixed up my address with someone else's, is there any way to fix this quickly online? (Their call hours have already ended). How worried should I be, and how much of a hassle will it be to fix this problem? Not sure what to do or where to start.

Was looking at /r/PersonalFinanceCanada and realized that some people may not know that the department of finance posts all of the tax breaks they give to Canadians (the PDF is quite helpful).
It can serve as good checklist for juniors.
After 2 unsuccessful applications for the Finance Budget Analyst role, I finally made it to step 2. I am going to the department next week to take the exam.
"The next phase of the process consists of a 2 Β½ -hour work sample exercise to assess your analytical writing and math skills."
Any ideas on what to expect? Writing subjects, branch of math?
Thanks,
Bitcoin is mentioned on the French Department of Finance as an "alternative payment method".

First of all, i'm not a native english speaker, but I left my shyness behind and came forth to ask you guys for help.
TL:DR at the end of the topic.
So, i'm 20y atm and i'm working on a transportation company in Brazil. I got this job when I was 17~18 due to a governamental program to help unemployed youngs/students to get their debut on the market.
Back then, I worked 4h per day, 5 days a week. It took less than four months since I started there to get my old boss to think of me as someone with potential, he then offered to hire me full time. I accepted whitout even questioning anything (stoopid me).
Next week I was a full time employe, living the best of my life and whitout even caring for how much I was going to get paid, being a 18y on a medium-sized company at the finances department was amazing enough in my head back then, money wasn't an issue.
I was going to be paid twice the amount I was receiving back when I worked 4h.
Flashfoward, the boss who hired me was dismissed about 2 months after I got fulltime, then another one came in, got fired, then another one come in a few months ago.
In summary, the company is going bad on money but i'm doing worse. Since 2 months ago i've been living alone and i'm starting to have less and less money at the end of the month.
I think that maybe I feel like they did me a favor in my hiring me full time, since I didn't had any experience in anything before it, and due to that I don't feel like I have the "right" to ask for a rise. But I also know I deserved the position and i've learned and developed so many skill after that, so I think I deserve a raise.
Also, the new boss is a good guy in a really bad spot, he congratulated me last week for my work in front of my supervisor but I don't want to trouble him with a raise request...
(Yes, I think I deserve a raise but I think I don't have the right to ask for one and I don't want to cause even more things to my boss to think about, help).
TL;DR: Been working full time (weekends when requested) for over 2 years with twice the salary I had when I was working 4 hours - 5 days a week. The company I work at is doing really bad on money and I don't know how to request a raise in salary.
Me on the phone talking to insurance company: "finance department helped us"
Son [6] after phone call: "daddy what's the finance department?"
Me: "they helped us with money to buy the car"
Ridley "oh I thought they go find ants"
... I've been out done by a six year old...
