[Developer's Note]
We're all huge nerds and lifelong gamers, and yes, I think all of us from the team have pirated games before. We don't mind! There are many reasons why one would be in such a position: can't afford it, or want to just try it out, just surfing and stumbling upon it - all of that is OK! We just want to keep creating games that our players would enjoy. And for us, it matters the most that as many people could have the possibility to enjoy the games we create, one way or another. To this end, we decided right from the start that the games we make should be distributed on torrent sites as well! And we want it to be the best version possible! There is no DRM, no content blocking, no BS. Just the full game, and an in-game link to our Steam store page. If you like the game and want to support us, considering buying it on Steam, or at least wishlisting us there (that helps out a lot too)!
Thank you for your interest in our game, and I hope y'all have fun :)
Much love!
-The Death and Taxes Team
PS: As we have more updates, we will also try and update our release! This is currently the most up-to-date and stable release. GL HF! <3
If you like the game, please support us by buying/wishlisting the game on Steam!
PS2: I hope this kind of post is fine! Let me know if it isn't!
EDIT2: Thank you so much for the Platinum! <3
Add Brian Hill to the list of disappointing RB handcuffs this season. He finished the game with the bulk of the carries (15), but only rushed for 30 yards against a Carolina rush defense that was begging to be hoagie slapped by the 220 pound freight train. Hill rushed late in the 4th teasing owners inside the 5 yard line, looking like he was going to save his day. Nevertheless, his TD was called back due to offensive holding; couple that with the previous Ollison TD vulture and you had a great recipe for a clorox cocktail. Next week ATL gets to enjoy a TB rush defense that ranks 2nd in the NFL.
This week on the waiver wire, we've got our choice of a few backs who shall claim the illustrious title of RB1 for their respective team:
Jaylen Samuels (5/26 & 5/19/1 vs CLE) Logged only 5 carries once Connor exited with the shoulder injury, but also brought in 5 receptions and a TD last week. With Juju and Johnson likely out, Jaylen should be the key recipient of PIT's dink and dunk offense. PIT gets a great matchup vs CIN, who is in the bottom for run stopping in the NFL. However, Trey Edmonds should be well in the mix, so Jaylen is an iffy start in Non PPR leagues.
Jonathon Williams/Jordan Wilkins?? (13/116 & 1/31 vs JAX) Williams took the bulk of the carries once Mack left, as Hines only had 3 rushes for 11 yards and 1 TD, adding 3 receptions for 24 yards. No one knows what this RB situation is going to look like on Thursday vs Houston. If Wilkins is active, I would assume he would be the lead back. However, if he is still out, Williams should get the early down work, with Hines acting as the primary pass catcher. Again even though Houston was just TORCHED by Jackson/Ingram/Edwards, this Colt's RB situation smells like a committee going forward, and vs. Houston game script could be an issue.
Bo Scarbrough (14/55/1 vs. DAL) Honestly I saw a post about Scarbrough a few weeks ago saying pick this man up, but laughed it off, thinking to myself who tf is that dude. Well, I'm not laughing now. Bo was clearly the best rusher on this team, out carrying a combined Johnson/McKissic combo 14/5. This backfield is still an unknown debacle of an RBBC, but get to face Washington next week who just got creampied by Bell and the Jets. If I were a betting man, I would say Bo has the most upside this next week (but don't listen to me).
Any of these guys could post an elite stat line of 15/100/1, or shit the bed with 12/35/0. We honestly have no idea

Everyone's over here saying they're mad about how NL played the game but there's no mention of how he calls Abbey Road the 6th best beatles album. Not even top 5? NL rank the beatles albums coward

Hi everyone. I'm Oak, and I did the coding for Death and Taxes, a game that released about a month ago. It was developed over the years by various people, but a final team of 10 people got the game out of the gate on 20th of February this year (2020, in case you have trouble remembering which year is it, like I do).
Most importantly:
Early on, when I joined the team, I had two wishes for the game:
By now you're probably thinking: why? Probably "WHY!?" even, to both of those wishes.
The decision to release an official developer torrent for the game is something I will cover in a separate post. For this one, I'd like to focus on making the code open source.
So... Why?
Ever since I started coding, I have absolutely loved open source stuff. And I mean open source by the definition of the Open Source Initiative [link]. I realize that releasing *only* the codebase is not exactly true in verbatim to the principles of FOSS stuff, but this is a deliberate decision. Making the code open source is fine by us, but making the art and other such assets is not. I won't go too much into detail to avoid opening a weird legal/ethical/whatever can of worms.
That being said - we're not afraid that people would copy the game or whatnot. The game has already been made, is shipped, has sold pretty well (26k copies at time of writing! Woop!) and hell.. if you're inspired by it... go for it! Make games! MAKE ALL THE GAMES! And make them well. We need more good games that respect our players' time, capability and intelligence.
Now that we've got that out of the way, I'll just casually start answering the question I postulated earlier. This is going to be long, but please bear with me, it's important (at least to me).
In addition to having the utmost respect for open-source/FOSS projects, I have this dream that I want to keep alive. The dream of making games. Right now, being in a most serendipitous position, I can develop games. I also w

I've been playing the deck for years but the deck actually feels competitive since MH1. According to Magic Online Replay Tool my win rate through 33 games is 72.73% (6 leagues and 3 two player queues) which is nuts for this deck. It feels as well positioned as it ever has excluding the short time it was the counter to GDS. The two additions from MH1 have really bolstered the traditional bad match ups, but I'll get into that later.
I'm sure the first question you're wondering is how could this pile of Bad Stuff Tribal cards from 2014 be better than the BW eldrazi version that actually puts up results?
There's a couple of reasons:
1. The meta is more about board presence than casting spells for the first time in a while, and I think when that happens resto angel is better than TKS. And the combination of a wall of first strike creatures and beefy fliers is very good in this meta.
2. Tec Edge is fantastic right now. Playing mono W allows you to play more utility lands and in my experience tec edge does a fantastic job at stifling your opponents mana. It helps a lot against the big mana and control decks.
3. This is the big one you get to play a pile of snow covered lands. Why this is good is you get to play paths 5-8 in the sideboard in the form of On Thin Ice. Ice has been the biggest upgrade to the deck from MH1.
New Cards:
Giver of Runes: This card is a roller coaster, it regularly feels awful, but like thalia and arbiter, you won't know the extent to which the card actually helps you win the game, its value is mostly in how it messes with your opponent's ability to interact with your creatures. Accord to MORT, it has the third highest correlation to me winning games out of the cards in my deck at .22, behind leonin arbiter at .23 and resto angel at an insane .38.
On Thin Ice: This card acts as extra paths for match ups where you want to add more removal density to your deck. It's been amazing against taxes' traditional predators of tarmogoyf, ooze and various creature ball decks that used to be straight up unwinable. It's also been great against the Bridge Vine decks where you need to answer their turn 2 8/8s or lose. The mono W version is great at grinding and messing with mana, now we can actually interact with creature decks, and path to exile isn't a Wonka Ticket that needs to be cherished and saved. Also the interaction with flickerwisp lets you exile something

Allen has been pretty inconsistent this year, but for Gregg to think he hasn't improved at all over last season is a little silly to me.
...a remaining forgotten stash of Metroid DNA, or a few last preserved specimens, just so that we can still have Metroids -- even though the species was supposedly finally wiped out, once and for all!
Guarantees of life......sigh
Check it out, starting doing deck techs on youtube.. lots of different decks we can do also.. what does everyone think?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdb7HCAx9TY&feature=share
I've been such a great fan of this deck since I've been playing it for years before SFM was unbanned. But after some time I switched to CoCo. Nowadays I see a lot of people asking for help to build a cheap and good deck for modern and it always ends in D&T but which is the most tier version of this deck? I see every league of mtgo and the results and in every one there's at least one d&t. Some times there is RW taxes, BW Eldrazi or MonoW Taxes w/SFM and I wonder what do you guys think about this deck right now and why do we see it in every MTGO league.
EDIT: Wow thx you very much guys, this was my first post on this subreddit and I didn't expect so many interactions. Thanks for all the help!
What is the best version in this meta? I play mono W eldrazi version with SFM.
