A list of puns related to "Data Protection Directive"
Hi everyone.
First of all, I'm not European, so please don't be hard on me!
I know that there is a legal framework called the E-Commerce Directive, which establishes, among other rules, a set of 3 ISP liability exemptions in Articles 15, 16 and 17.
I'm rather sure that those rules apply to E-commerce and copyright matters, but I'm not really certain if ISPs can rely on said exemptions while there is a Data Protection matter.
Do you guys know about some case-law, doctrine or anything dealing with this topic?
I really cannot imagine a "right to be forgotten" case where Google or Yahoo or any other search-engine defending themselves by invoking one of the exemptions laid down in the E-Commerce Directive.
Thank you so much for your help.
Cheers!
If the UK does leave the EU, does that mean the data of UK citizens that was collected by the EU would then be free to move out of the EU without having to worry about the kind of security protections provided by "third countries"?
