Daniel Agger was open to transfer to Barcelona in 2012, he said this was the only club, apart from BrΓΈndby IF, that he wanted to transfer to. But Manchester City came with a bigger bid, and Liverpool wanted this, Daniel refused and City kept bidding to get the signature. Liverpool was confused about Daniels response, and Daniel just went back to the red shirt, his soul was not for sale...

The following are extracts from an interview Daniel Agger had with a Danish newspaper. Thought you guys might like to hear how our old Danish Viking feels about Liverpool:
"I miss Liverpool. We had a really good life in the city. We had a solid base, had build a good home, and we felt really at home in the city. I always hope, I will have some sort of attachment to Liverpool. I do not regret that I left. When I make a decision, I never regret it. I cannot remember exactly, when I made the decision to leave."
"Barcelona was an option for me in 2013. But when I made my decision back then, it was the right decision to stay at Liverpool at the time. It is not something I regret today, but when I think back, it could have been fun to try. Three or four years ago Spain might have suited me well. But that is not how I decided, and I will never regret the decision."
