A list of puns related to "Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master Award"
For those of you who don't know the Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master Award (known as the SFWA Grand Master Award until 2002) is an award given by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) to living authors (of any nationality) for lifetime achievement. Some past winners include icons like Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, Ursula K. LeGuin, and Samuel R. Delany. It's an award for those who have really impacted the genre. While its most focused on Science Fiction writers, Peter S. Beagle, and others have also won the award.
If you were given the chance to nominate an author for the award who would you pick and why? I believe the author must still be alive in order to receive the award.
Cummybot2000 was an excellent and the most hardworking bot ever to exist on the face of this subreddit. In his memory, the mods have decided to host this annual award show to thank him and to make sure his name echoes forever within the vibe of this community.
Here is how this works:
Each mod award grants you 1 month of reddit premium and a bunch of coins.
The different categories of awards:
The 10 best posts of 2020 (x10 mod awards) [we will sort by top posts of this year and award good posts]
The 5 best replies to this post. (Must be a creative write up on how great cummybot2000 was and your best moments with him) (x5 mod awards)
5 random comments on this post will also receive an award (So make sure to leave a comment) (x5 mod awards)
Note: Only your first comment will be considered as an entry. Rest of your comments will not be removed but will not be considered as an entry. Account must be older than 15 days to participate. We will lock the post after 10 days and award the winners.
May the bot rest in peace. Let the show begin!
> On this 4th day of May in the 1503rd Year from the Birth of our Most Merciful Lord Jesus Christ, I, Pierre d'Aubusson, Grand Master of the Knights of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, being of sound mind and waning body, do hereby dictate my last will and testament.
> I have lived my life in service to the Lord our God, striving to enact His will to the best my sinful soul possibly may. When my eyes close for the last time and my soul departs to meet He who is the Maker of Us All, I shall do so with joy in my heart and my conscience clean.
> What work remains to my office in this earthly world shall pass unto the hands of my faithful lieutenant, and I perish only to no longer have an old, decrepit ruin occupy the paramountcy of the Knights of St. John. Soon, I lead my command to meet the Saracen for what I fear shall be the last time. I thus put my worldly affairs in order that I may march to meet my fate, whatever it may be, knowing I do not burden anybody else.
> To the family and descendants of my dear brother, Antoine d'Aubusson, I leave the remnants of my personal estates and my regrets that I know not even your names. In the service of my God I have grown old and weary, and in pursuing His foes, I have crossed the seas to the shore of the Saracen. Though family is a sacrament, I beg you understand that there are higher sacraments, and forgive me that in the years since your father and I last met, when he marched to save his imperilled brother in 1480, I have not returned to see your faces. Though it has many times pained me to know that I never would again see the fields and meadows of my birth and youth, it would be a black stain upon my soul to leave derelict my duties here. I pray for your fortunes and strength, and know that you shall continue to honour the the name of our house and forge the next generations of the soldiers of the Most High.
> To the Bishopric of Carcassone, where my dear brother Guichard served the Almighty, I leave 5,000 florins, that a mass in my memory and prayers for my sin-stained soul may be held every now and then. May the good work of the Church continue.
> To my Faithful Knights of the Order, I leave the rest of my personal wealth. Not much remains of it, for a life spent in the service of the Almighty is not renumerative. It is something we have all understood, and something we have all sacrificed. I also leave you all my pride; it has been the joy and honour of my life to be

Only asking this because you know what happens in act 3 of the event quest...
The options are: Noelle, Amber, Sucrose, and Eula. Nobody else, including Bennett or Huffman (even though they probably would make a better temporary Grand Master). I also know that Noelle and Sucrose are technically not knights, but I'm listing them here because they are the other 2 characters (besides Amber and Eula) that are affiliated with the Knights of Favonius but weren't seen at the archipelago.
I feel like either Noelle or Eula would get the most votes.
Edit: I know that Lisa is the one who's acting as the Grand Master while the squad is gone at the archipelago, but to quote u/General_Sandwich, "What if she receives a letter telling some people with late books can be found at the archipelago?"
Is there anything I should consider adding as its been a few years since I played grey knights?
