After reading about Polkadot from its official wiki, I have observed that smart contracts are not so talked about in the Polkadot network. Now, I maybe off point here, and maybe my basics are shaky but I was curious about the reasoning behind smartcontracts not needed.
Is it possible Freedom to enhanced the application that has in Android in order to add the functionality of reporting dead spots? It can have some kind of opensignal functionality where if the user finds a really weak signal, the user can report that to Freedom's application with some modem data (LTE/WCDMA mode) location etc. Like that Freedom will know exactly what to do, where to install new towers or to reposition some.
I know the Lightning Network has become something of meme here on this sub-Reddit, but let's assume that someday it becomes something that the every man could use, and not just the neck bearded folk living in their moms basement, will there really be a need for any other currency related cryptocurrency project?
