I can flip it on my smaller pan, but on my very large pan it's really hard to flip without using my fingers. Are there any other recommended tools or techniques?
I have found many shoe companies making animal-free desert boots and Wallabees, but all of then use a horrible synthetic sole instead of the classic crepe rubber used to make the original styles.
Is there something about the production of crepe rubber that involves non-human animals, or is this just a result of cheap manufacturing?
If anyone can point me towards a pair of proper, cruelty-free dessies, you will be helping me immeasurably.
I am a huge AE fan and spend HOURS going down AE rabbit holes looking for random things I saw someone on the street wearing, which leads me down another rabbit hole - you know how it is. - The quality is amazing and it's only $30 with shipping. I have been using it as a work bag daily for months and it's held up perfectly, no signs of wear and tear. I had it with me when I went to Nordstrom Rack and held it up side by side with the auth and couldn't find any differences on the outside. The interior was a tiny bit different but who's to say if that's a seasonal difference given they have been making Le Pliages for decades (?) at this point. I love the little interior pocket that I can keep my subway card and a hair tie in (it could fit a bit more). I love that it's actually waterproof because of the interior thick rubber lining that also gives it structure. I put a cashmere sweater inside it when I was running errands on a snowy, rainy, windy day and my sweater stayed perfectly dry. It came in a branded dustbag with branded tags.

original snarky review when I was horribly cold here
It's been just a little over a year since I discovered that moving over a thousand miles north from South Florida means that winter gets cold, which means it's been a little over a year since I got these Miles & Louie Shearling slippers, which means I have a short review for y'all! There's not many longer-term Miles & Louie reviews out there, so despite the fact these are indoor shoes I hope it's helpful.
Sizing and Purchasing
These were purchased from M&L for 10% off for $1390 MXN ($1100 MXN plus shipping), which converts to around $70 USD. I believe they're still around that same price range - and they have some new colorways! This puts them below or competitive with the price of other similar slipper options, like Beckett Simonon, or full-footed slipper options from LLBean, Quoddy, Rancourt, etc.
Miles & Louie uses a S/M/L sizing system for their slippers, and these were size medium, which should fit an 8.5-10 Brannock. I have a wide ass foot and these fit nicely. Given they're slippers, I imagine these would fit the stated range in a variety of widths (though if you're extra wide and are around a 10, consider going up).
Impressions
They are STILL warm. Too warm sometimes, I think. I wear these daily indoors throughout the treacherous winters of Kentucky, and they were especially helpful during the particularly (to me) ice storm season we had early 2021 where it felt like the ground wouldn't un-freeze for a solid few weeks. I wore from essentially from when I received them to around late March, when we consistently started being above freezing again. I brought them out again in November when we started experiencing some unusual warmth. They are unbelievably warm even when I'm not wearing wool socks, so they were an absolute great purchase for my intended purpose of not freezing.
As is typical for shearling lining, it's kind of gotten squished down and mottled over time, yet it still provides adequate warmth. I'm exploring options to see if there's a way to revive it and have it not be so com

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes.
