A list of puns related to "Crank (mechanism)"
Hey everyone,
Does anyone use a positive locking mechanism on their bell crank bearings or does a press fit suffice? Just thought I would check just to be safe, we have assumed not so far ( first year team),
Thanks a lot,
Cillian
Wondering if anyone owns a Kodak EK4 or other Kodak instant camera with the hand crank mechanism. I ordered one online recently but sadly it arrived damaged and all of the metal parts and the gears in the bottom fell out. The rollers and other parts do seem to be in the package, and I am would like to try to fix it. Slightly long shot, but does anyone have a camera in good condition they could take a picture of, and/or a manual?
Long story short I need to teach myself how a quick return mechanism works and what all the random angles mean. Iβm not a mechanical engineer and have not had to deal with these relatively simple mechanisms before, so itβs not really intuitive for me.
While I was trying to figure out how stuff worked, I noticed some sources saying that the imbalance angle is important not just for defining the quick return ratio, but also that the larger the imbalance angle is, βthe higher itβs work efficiency is in a single-trackβ. The source that said that does not explain what thatβs supposed to mean. Does anyone have any insight?
Thank you so much in advance.
Hi, for my Machine design class I was asked to use any code to run a Kinematic analysis on a crank slider mechanism.
I used MATLAB to write the code. When I changed the limits of the crank angle, the code refused to work.
The error: Subscript indices must either be real positive integers or
logicals.
Error in lol (line 6)
X=L*cos(phi)+R*cos(theta);
How do I fix this ?
I am new to MATLAB and I am unsure of what is wrong, especially since the code worked before
Thanks
Hi folks
So pretty basically I am trying to figure out how to calculate the output force of a press device that uses an inline slider crank mechanism, very similar to a punch type press shown here
Basically I want to know how what the output force is from a given input torque on the shaft. The displacement is pretty straight forward but how do you go about the mechanical advantage of a device like this?
Many thanks!
Hey Ottawa!
I started up my business Quick Cranks Mobile Bike Repair about 2 months ago and posted about here in r/ottawa, the response was amazing and I am so happy to have met so many of you and fix up your bikes! If you have never heard about me, checkout my original posting! I do bike tune-ups and repairs on your driveway, basic tune ups are $40!
The response across Ottawa has been amazing, I started out with a couple bookings per week but once the word got around, I am now booked solid into late April with over 50 inquires coming in per day. Thank you all for supporting my local business!
I am looking for a good bike mechanic to join the team, hourly rate starts at a very competitive $20/hr with 2-3 shifts per week. You can find my LinkedIn job posting here.
You can find me at quickcranks.ca , call me at 647-987-6591 or PM on Reddit!

Hi all,
I've a broken parasol "SeglarΓΆ" and I would know if can fix it.
The part proken is the crank.
Here are some foto:
Particulars - Three pieces of the broken pivot
Particulars - Two parts joined of the broken pivot
Particulas - Two pieces of the broken pivot
