A list of puns related to "Crackling noise"
I have a crackling noise from my Komplete audio 1 which comes through my studio headphones (Sennheiser 560S), and seems to appear every few minutes / hours and drive me crazy. Maybe it's worth noting that my PSU is not even a bronze one, so what are the chances that my PSU is the problem? Even if I connect it to a different PC and the noise is gone, how do I know whether it is my PSU or my motherboard?
My hardware is I7-9700K, a RTX 2060 Super by EVGA, on a Z390UD by GIGABYTE motherboard.
Here are the steps I have already tried:
I changed the Sample rate and also the Buffer size.
I updated the sound card drivers to their latest version (5.0.0).
I tried different connections on the computer (both 3.0 and 2.0).
I updated BIOS to the latest version.
I tried using the headphones without the sound card (the noise is gone = no problem with the headphones).
I checked that I had grounded cables and replaced the PSU cable (main cable) with a new one from the store.
I was messing with the power settings of the operating system.
I turned off Realtek and Nvidia HD audio so there would be no clash between the software and only the sound card would work.
I do not have any wireless card on my computer that can cause this noise.
I disconnected the keyboard, mouse and piano MIDI to check whether it's a ground loop problem.
I disconnected an unnecessary splitter and connected all the cables to the same splitter, closest to the wall.
Thanks a lot to everyone.
I recently upgraded my equipment from a USB mic to an XLR. It's been recording fine for the first few weeks but recently it started having this crackling noise when I record. Sample Audio Here
I already tried troubleshooting it myself, tried changing sample rates, tested with a different cable and sound interface so I ruled those out, used different headphones, recorded on a different pc and it still has the noise. I'm really not sure what the problem could be, any help?
Equipment I use is a C-1 Behringer and Behringer U-Phoria UM2
Update: tried tweaking the buffer length and recorded on a different software (I mostly use Audacity and tried Ocenaudio) crackling noise is still there.
I have watched several episodes this season and there is a weird crackling sound in the background of some scenes almost like TV static or a hospital machine. It sounds familiar but I cannot make out what it Is. Am I the only one that hears it. Like an old gram phone or Morse code radio. Itβs in the background of some scenes - what the hell is it?
My PAX 3 that I ordered a couple weeks ago seems to crackle and sizzle as I use it. I notice it most when I take a hit then sit it down. I clean it after every single use so it definitely is clean. I use alcohol and all of the tools in the cleaning kit. So why would this be happening still?
Hi,
I bought jabra 75t and 65t active, they feel premium but are ... unusable
I keep having a crackling noise (mainly on the left earbud)
The issue happens with both models so unless i'm very 'lucky' this doesn't seem to be some rare problem but rather a common one
Is there a fix to this ?
(yes they're on the latest firmware update, 2.34 for the 65 and 2.0 for 75)
I was using $9,99 Redmi Airdots up until now, not as premium but .. they work fine
ps : the 65t case is as poorly designed as i read on reviews before purchase
pps : i really wanted to like both, otherwise i wouldn't have spent as much ...
Hello, I searched but only found old post about crackling static noise with some cars on Rfactor 2. I noticed a very little static / cut out annoying sound with high rev engine sound on the BMW CS, Bentley GT3, Aston GT3... the last GTE and Ferrari GT3 are perfect.
I tried to change my sound card, DAC, another PC,another motherboard , another headset, another speakers... still the same issue.
My config is pretty strong, Ryzen 3600x with RTX 3080, with updated sound drivers...
Thank you in advance if someone encounter same sounds issue.
Is this normal? Seems to be charging alright but makes that noise when plugged in to the board. When unplugged I can then hear a very faint high pitched noise.
Almost 2 months since the bug appeared and still havenβt fixed the crackling noise on V3 camera. Thereβs been A few updates since but none seem to fix the issue. There one just posted now and still no proper fix.
I donβt know what this is but Iβve been experiencing some crackling noise whenever I move my head. Left, right, up or down I can hear a weird crackling sandy noise. Iβve also been experiencing some heavy head pressure/migraine type feeling headaches and I donβt usually get headaches. I have an appointment with my Primary doc but itβs not until the 23rd. Anyone else have this and figured out the cause?
Edit: turning on absolute volume in bluetooth settings solves the issue but 80% volume is like 5% volume on absolute so if i put slightly higher volume its earrape and slightly lower its like a whisper
Edit 2: Turning on absolute volume doesn't fix it
So i got JBL E55BT and right driver crackles only when playing trough phone, when playing trough PC no matter the volume or audio it doesn't crackle but on phone on certain songs it crackles like hell until i change region then it stops crackling but comes back after 30 minutes. Found out that turning "Absolute volume" on and off fixes it for about 15 mins.
This is the weirdest bug i have ever encountered and I haven't found a solution yet. Tried everything from factory resetting headphones to resetting all options on the phone. The bug appeared after updating from 12.0.9 (Android 10) to 12.1.1 (Android 11)
As I turn up the lag knob on the warped vinyl, there becomes more and more crackling popping noise when I strum a chord on the guitar. It's not just static or hiss that's always playing.
Does anybody know what this could be and how to fix it?
I recently bought a Razer Kraken X USB headset and about two weeks after the purchase I started getting this weird crackling noise randomly in the background while talking to people on discord. The noises are episodic, meaning they come in episodes where everything is fine and the audio becomes crackly out of nowhere for a few seconds and then it goes away. The first time it happened I tried plugging the headphone into a different USB port and made it go away for about a week but now itβs back. Since itβs so random I donβt even think changing the usb port was the reason why it went away for a few days. My previous headset plugged into a headphone jack unlike this one that plugs into a usb port, and the previous one had absolutely no audio issues (aside from having a lower quality audio than my current headset). So please let me know if you can help me fix the issue or find out whatβs causing it.
I'm going to keep this short. I bought my 85Ts last week, out of box my left ear had a constant white noise, but I've seen some posts saying that it eventually goes away and decided to ignore it. After one week I've started having occasional loud crackling/popping noises in the left earbud. This is unacceptable for a $200+ earbud, my $20 JBLs worked better for longer. If anyone has any similar stories and/or fixes I'd love to hear them.
I haven't dropped them, and no water damage either.

Frist build PC I've made without any problems at first until I've noticed some noise crackle when I switched bottom taps with audio playing. Thought it might've been a minor issue that can be solved later. But then whenever I start downloading steam games, it starts to crackle a lot more until its done downloading. Similar but same thing happened when screensharing on discord. didn't cause any problems at first when streaming games in VC, but it became worse when I was streamed Ableton (L11) which cause 1 second latency with effects the mouse curser too. When loading up a VST (Serum), the latency became longer with the curser and audio which led to my keyboard (razer) RGB to turn off and turn back on. Screen then shuts off and turns back on with the whole applications stuttering everywhere until the my pc just shuts down with the ram RGB still running. I've turn it back on with the login page on screen with no text(box) or any sort but the wallpaper. I've shut it off and ran it again with it working again but with the same problem when updating windows.
I've asked my buds which these are the suggestions they've provided me: Turning Bluetooth off, all the apps closed/quitted but discord, turned XMP off, and switching audios from Realtek and to my audio interface (Komplete Audio 6).
With no luck, I'm hopping you guys would know what problem may have been causing and if it is any chance of me fixing it.
Much thanks.
Note: Before it crashing the whole thing, I've looked at task manager while lagging and noticed my CPU percentage spiked up a lot then going down, but this could just be from discord's screensharing thing.
Hello Guys! (this is my first post here)
I received my new Fuzz yesterday (PedalPawn Fuzz, crazy thing!), but as sick as the tone is, I do hear a random crackling or popping from my amp when the pedal is turned on. Whilst being switched off, the amp is pretty quiet except of the typical warm hum. The crackling is sometimes less sometimes more, but on all settings, so it's not depending on the volume or the fuzz level I believe...
My Setup:
I searched for solutions for my problem but couldn't find anything suiting yet... I will contact Pedalpawn but maybe someone here as experienced a similar noise with his/her amp and has some ideas for a solution. Any help is appreciated!
I just finished assembling my prusa mk3 (bought it, life happened, didn't get it assembled until 2 years later). Calibrated fine (not perfect but pretty good, printed several of the demo files that came with the printer and it worked great. I sliced a downloaded file, upgraded my firmware and tried my first print. First thing i noticed was a random cracking/crackling sound as the x-axis moved back and forth. 65% through printing my first downloaded file, the extruder skipped over maybe an inch to the right. No drift just started making spaghetti an inch to the right. Stopped the print and tried to restart. And got check x axis length error. I've gone through misc troubleshooting. Calibration wizard, reoriented the x-axis pulley, loosened the screws on the back of the extruder assembly, cut and redid the zip ties, nothing is touching where it shouldnt. Have manually thought the settings run the x axis to both extents which it does fine but when I run the calibration wizard it heads to the left and kicks out another x axis length error. None of the adjustments have gotten the x-axis length error or the cracking sound to go away. Any hints/ideas/suggestions?
