She was having a lot of problems selling it because the car had 250,000 miles. One day, she told her problem to a friend she worked with at a salon. Her friend told her, "There is a possibility to make the car easier to sell, but it's not legal."
"That doesn't matter," replied Judi, "as long as I can sell the car."
"Okay," said Judi's friend. "Here is the address of a friend of mine. He owns a car repair shop. Tell him I sent you and he will turn the counter in your car back to 50,000 miles. Then it should not be a problem to sell your car anymore."
The following weekend, Judi made the trip to the mechanic. Two weeks later the friend asked Judi, "Did you sell your car?"
"No," replied Judi, "why should I? It only has 50,000 miles on it!"

He gets to the counter, "brock! bock bock bock"
The lady at the counter says: "Excuse me?"
"Brock! brock bock bock bock" says my father
Worried she says "Can I help you check in?"
My father stares at her, bobbing his head forward and back. The lady looks confused, worried, looks at the rest of the line with eyes pleading for help.
My father then stands up straight, "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was this chicken counter" and proceeds to produce his proper papers
He walked up to the counter, and asked the bartender for a drink. The bartender said, "Sorry, but we don't serve your kind here." The string replied, "Well, screw you then!" and walked out.
The next day, the string walked back in. The bartender immediately says, "Hey, I told you yesterday, I'm not going to give you a beer." So the string turned around angrily and stormed out.
Finally, the next day, the string walked back in. He then walked straight to the bathroom, and he messed around in the mirror a bit. He walked back out and to the bar, and the bartender said "Hey, aren't you that same string?"
He replied, "I'm a frayed knot."
EDIT: wrong tense
There are three classes of cheerios, the lower class (plain ol' cheerios), the middle class cheerios (frosted), and the elite class (honey nut). One soggy morning in Seattle, a plain cheerio awoke in his single room apartment. He looked out at the still sleepy city, blanketed in a mist of rain. He quickly got dressed and put his shoes on, this would be the day. He stood propped against the bus stop, smoking a cigarette. "God I have got to stop this habit." He thought to himself. Glancing back and forth at the bustle of cheerios, he saw her. She looked about 25, devastatingly gorgeous, and he could smell the honey from where he stood. "Excuse me ma'am," his voice quivered, "I - I think you might be the most beautiful cheerio I have ever seen." She smiled and her otherwise golden brown face grew red. " This is a long shot, but will you marry me?' She was obviously caught off guard by this, but her red lips formed the word, "Yes." They raced through the morning mist of the city, and arrived at her fathers house. The cheerio bent down in front of her father. "Sir, I would like to ask for your blessing in marrying your daughter" "No! You are a regular cheerio and my daughter needs a high quality honey nut" he snapped. "But sir." "No means no damnit!" "Sir this is very unrea-" "You come back a honey nut and you'll have my blessing, my daughter is not about to marry a low life like you." The cheerio sprinted home, tears streaming down his face. He fumbled against the lock and sprawled out on his bed. When he awoke it was early, his sheets had a dark silhouette from his wet jacket. He sat up and lit a cigarette. "Damn." he sighed to himself. Walking in front of his mirror, he noticed something different. His body was frosted! He had become a frosted cheerio! He darted out the door without shoes, reaching the honey nut household in no time at all. He banged on the door, and the beauty's father answered. "Sir I am a changed cheerio! I'm frosted!" he exclaimed. Her father had a stern look on his face. "You think you are any better? The dirt on my boots are worth more than you." he hissed. The old honey nut slammed the door on the young frosted. He heard the deadbolt click. The newly frosted cheerio didn't take the same way home. He stood on the edge of a bridge, feeling the cool autumn wind on his sugar coated skin. Was he really going to go through with this? Was it worth it? No he was a frosted cheerio now. He couldn't get the girl, but he was a changed cheerio. He

When I was around 10 years old, I jumped in a pool and instantly started shivering. My dad looks at me and says "Did the turtle go back in the shell?"
Another time, my older brother was making a sandwich and had it finished sitting on a plate on the counter. My brother turned around to put the stuff away in the fridge and in that minuet my dad walked up stairs grabbed the sandwich and walked back down stairs.
I said to my 13 year old. He's at that age when he is starting to think he knows everything because he knows why salt makes ice melt.
He knows I'm a teetotaler.
"What do you know about making drinks?" he says sneeringly.
"I know how to make some drinks."
"Like what?"
"I know how to make rum and coke. I know how to make gin and tonic. I know how to make Shirley Temples."
There is a snort there.
"I know how to make vodka cranberries. I know how to make margaritas. I know how to make red wine."
He finishes the fries he is eating at the counter island in the kitchen and starts to head out of the room.
"Do you know how to make a red wine?" I call after him.
He turns around and looks at me, still chewing.
"How"
"Tell them about 1991."
"What?"
"That is when the Soviet Union fell, all the reds were whining."
True story.
My wife and I entered WinCo to do some dinner shopping, and we walked by the meat counter just as a stocker with a serious case of plumber's crack was putting meat out. I turned to my wife and said, "That's not the kind of rump roast I had in mind."
My father told me this when I was young. He grew up on a farm back in the 40's and 50's and for the longest time they had an outhouse that was their primary bathroom. One night he was sitting in there taking a crap when he hears a voice coming from below him. It was saying very quietly "If the log rolls over, we will die". He is sitting their puzzled but he keeps hearing it over and over again "If The Log Rolls Over We Will Die"...
Now he starts to freak out so he wipes himself and runs inside and grabs the flashlight off the counter and comes back out to check it out. Only now, it is louder and more frantic If The Log Rolls Over We Will Die.
He crept up to the toilet hole, turned on the flashlight and slowly peered over the edge of the toilet and what he saw scared the hell out of him...
It was a bunch of ants sitting on a turd and chanting If The Log Rolls Over We Will Die
I begin to pour the remainder of the freshly cooked chips from the tray on to the plate. At the bottom I notice there are some fries left in the tray. Coworker leans in and says "Surfries!"
I set the tray down and we cackle over the remark. Manager quickly puts his hand on the counter and flips the tray up, sending a small portion of salty fries into and around his eye. I turn to my coworker: "Surfries!"
My mother was cleaning the kitchen and fussing about the coffee. "I need my coffee," she said. "I don't have patience." Without skipping a beat, my Dad countered. "Good thing you're not a doctor." Then he turned to me to see if I got it. Man I love my Dad.
We were at Starbucks and at the counter, there was a Proposition 65 warning that ground coffee beans give off a chemical that can give cancer. My dad then turns to me and says, "Pilots must not get cancer. They always stay away from the ground. Pilots also have to follow some strict ground rules." I groaned, and he finished it off by saying, "Hey, you better watch it. I might just ground you." Well played, Dad. Well played.
