Okay, we can rule out Dear Evan Hansen since that one was an embarrassment to musical films, but then we have films like In the Heights and West Side Story, both of which were critically acclaimed. Sure, In the Heights was a cinema/HBO Max simultaneous release and West Side Story was initially thought to be a pointless remake (until it turned out it wasn't), but I honestly think they could've done better at the box office in normal times and I'm really bewildered by the fact that West Side Story is failing on the level of The Last Duel because that should simply not be possible.
And you know, I kind of have a feeling that Amblin Entertainment logo being attached to Cats might've contributed to West Side Story, a film directed by Steven Spielberg, failing this badly at the box office. People probably saw Amblin logo attached to Cats and given that Amblin is Spielberg's company, they might've assumed that West Side Story will be another Cats, thinking that Spielberg had a lot of input into both.
Think about it. Tim has sporadic appearances for the first several years of RLM while Rich was testing his creation to squash all the bugs. As time moved along, Rich became more confident so he allowed Tim to be filmed in full episodes. This is why his appearances are still a bit spread out. Tim needs time to recharge before he can be in front of a camera.

I am an avid reader of this community and really glad I found it. I donβt have any major Qs in my life: my partner and family are fully sane. Nevertheless I am surrounded by conspiracy-minded people, and always have been: in my home country and my present one (Berlin, Germany). I despise conspiracy theories but I always found them very interesting in a theoretical sense.
I am an artist and filmmaker / film scholar and conspiracies are very, very widespread in the art world β almost no-one believes in the Moon Landing and itβs downhill from there. Same goes for the queer community, sadly: it almost goes without saying that βtheyβ are plotting to kill us. In my surroundings βtheyβ are not the democrats, but as you all know, in the end itβs always the Jews ;)
Anyway I am working on a videoart piece about conspiracy theories: a found-footage compilation film without intervention besides editing, and itβs going to cover all major conspiracies (Flat Earth, Ancient Aliens, 9/11, Chemtrails, you name it) using only the videos and voices of the believers.
The film is going to be centred about the concept of vision and the contradictory attitude conspiracists have towards images: on the one hand they dismiss all photographic evidence (like NASA images of the Earth) as fake, on the other hand they obsessively analyse said images to find βproofβ of their theories. And they even edit the pictures themselves, in front of our eyes, and THEN proclaim them as fake! I find it absolutely fascinating and very telling about their thought process.
In short the film is going to be a treatise in film theory, made using a misunderstanding of film theory.
I have already put together a lot of material but I have almost nothing about Qanon.

Right after moving to LA to pursue acting in 2015, I found a little shed in the garden of an ex-commune in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. For the first few months, from 10pm to 6am every night I could hear Alex Jones and other βalternative newsβ playing from the hallway leading to her room. At the time I didnβt know who that was. This was in the very early days of the 2016 election when America thought Trump was a joke and the far-right conspiracy movement was still underground.
As the months went by, Margie began to tell me the story of her life; how she went from the matriarch of a hippy commune to an evangelist of the far right. Being a liberal artist, I would have normally immediately rejected her.Β But the truth is I started to experience my own mental health issues that were exacerbated by my isolation.
On top of this, Margie began trying to relentlessly convert me to her far-right conspiracies, cornering me everytime I needed to make a meal in the kitchen or go to the bathroom. Because I was lonely and not good at confrontation, I listened. She said she saw herself in me and by sharing these lessons she thought she could save me from the mistakes she had made. Β By this time I had lived on the property for a year and a half. In the insanity of that election period and the strangeness of my personal life, I started to lose grip on what was fact and what was fiction.
Realizing this, I left the property, moved to a different part of LA, and began to build a more normal life: I found friends and a relationship, a steadier job. But as time went on, I started to see this fringe movement that Margie got wrapped up in spread rapidly and become part of the national conversation and transform into the QAnon movement.
