A list of puns related to "CloudCompare"
I'm trying to make an app with the iPad Pro that will allow you to compare the scanned point cloud to a CAD model in real time. I'm just trying out a few things and haven't been able to pull anything but a USDZ or .ARObject file off the iPad.
Thanks for your help in advance!
I've beat my head -- I cant find a solution. The end goal is a Sketchup model with textures. my current process -- CloudCompare to mesh the pts. Export .obj .ply .dae (ive tried everything) -- and then use MeshLab to simplify (get file size smaller) -- then I use Skimp to upload obj to Sketchup -- but the texture does not come -- just a white model -- same with the other file formats (not all need Skimp to be imported) but i get the same result .. ive also uploaded them all into Blender and also no luck there... is this something that is possible ? -- i see textures in Meshlab .. just cant get them to show in Sketchup -- any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi,
I was wondering if you were aware of any point cloud visualization/manipulation program available ?
Something like CloudCompare (the dev told me he his waiting for commercial releases before getting back to plugin creation) or even a Potree modification ?
If someone with a better understanding of three.js than me would like to contribute and help me figure out how to make the three.js examples working with potree it would be crazy. I tried but was unable to make the code take over the camera settings from Potree and the fact that it's loading only a portion of the point cloud linked to the view. It would be nice to come with a solution for this, because there is only one german developper for Potree and he has not the time to try out everything (and obviously does not have a rift at hand).
Alright I am making this topic as many don't seem aware of this issue. The reason this is happening is due to some accounts having really bad netsettings, hence people will see you much earlier than you can see them.
I have this issue on my main account, where people will instantly headshot me by peeking around a corner and seemingly run and gun me every single time, however on my roomates account this does not happen. I tested his and my account and noticed that the game is running noticably different on his account, it runs much more responsive despite being on the same PC and network. When I created another account to test this, again, the new account had no such issues, only when logging to my main account this happens consistently.
Now there is a small workaround for this. Switch back and fort the network buffering setting from minimum to max back to minimum. Play for 1-2minutes and wait for a microstutter to happen if it doesnt happen, minimum, max, back to minimum play for 1-2minutes, after that the game should run noticably more smooth despite having same ping + FPS, however people will now stop run and gunning you and stop making these impossible shots. This will remain for the rest of the session, the moment you have to restart or log off, you will once again have to do the same thing to trigger the microlag fixing whatever is causing the network settings to be the way they are.
I hope this post gets enough attention so that devs get to fix this netsetting problem so that people can stop getting run and gunned because of netsettings on the cloud the user cannot access. Don't bother asking support, they have no idea and cannot help as they have no access to the cloud server.
If you get a lot of impossible shots and run and gunned nonstop, try the method above or create a new account to compare, it should be instantly noticable by the game being more responsive and more fluid, it should stop jittering for instance when u walk behind a teammate.
From a Q & A today that was recorded and posted on the Half Life sub: https://www.reddit.com/r/HalfLife/comments/n9rlb6/steam_might_be_expanding_to_console_i_shot_this/
Not sure if this is supposed to be a tease for Valve's own games coming to consoles like HL:Alyx or just expansion of 3rd party current Steam-exclusives or.... Steam as a platform lol (which I'm doubtful of as it seems unlikely right now). But it's hard to tell now what he meant other than that we'll see Steam's games in some form on consoles.
Thoughts on what more this could possibly imply? I only came up with those three conclusions but I might be missing a lot of nuance here. I'm no expert, just a consumer, and could be dead wrong on all fronts.
Edit: If Steam were being introduced as a platform (which again, seems unlikely), some people have speculated it could be introduced as a streaming-only platform or a VR-only platform. Which might make more sense, compared to a full-fledged native store. But wouldn't it then directly compete with PS Now and xCloud? Hmmm.
Apes, gorillas, cucks, tards, and degenerates gather round, Uncle Hank has some more technical DD to bestow on your smooth brains. Please bear bull with me, because this will be long. Some of you have probably seen my other posts and this will be much the same; however, this technical analysis will be more in-depth and will cover a wider ranger of indicators than previous posts. I am a technical trader and these are the indicators that I have used in the past and that I have found helpful, but this is in no way exhaustive and there are many other indicators and trading styles that are just as useful as these. Finally, I am not a financial advisor, this is not financial advice, my brain is literally a senile amoeba. As you can probably tell, I have an ADHD medicine prescription. I worked very hard on this and hope that you apes enjoy it!
Volume - catalysts
I put volume here first becuase it is BY FAR the most important indicator for a stock and ESEPCIALLY GME. Let me be clear, volume is king. Volume is god. Volume is your wife's boyfriend's wife's boyfriend's wife's boyfriend's wife's pimp's boyfriend's boss' 3rd wife's byofriend (that might be an understatement tbh). If you look at GME's chart, every single giant price increase was preceded by a large influx of volume. This is not unique to GME, as any stock requires a massive amount of volume for a massive increase in price:
https://preview.redd.it/x4y89amnrfo61.png?width=1071&format=png&auto=webp&s=f162175a836a710ce3896fa61f45706ded9fdc2e
Understand that volume is the only thing that will make this stock spike, as with any stock. The stock is not going to magically go to the moon without a ton of people on the buy side. Again, this is not exclusive to GME. When a stock has a great earnings report, acquisition news, FDA approval, etc, you will see a massive volume spike that leads to a massive increase (or decrease) in price. Now you're probably thinking to yourself, "ok Uncle Hank, but my tiny ape brain can't comprehend what makes volume increase." Well, volume is simply the number of people buying or selling the stock, so that begs the question, what makes more people buy or sell a stock? Catalysts. We have seen that GME is especially sensitive to catalysts. I believe that this is because WSB/retail investors own a LARGE portion of GME's float, so that guarantees that there are a stable number of holds, so when there is news, demand spikes while supply is still low. I am now go

This is demonstrably false because there are multiple rollups currently online, some of which have been running for a year now! Here are some examples that you can use today: Loopring, zkSync, DeversiFi, Hermez, Aztec, dYdX, Immutable X etc. Most of these projects can process thousands of TPS with such low gas fees that some of them subsidize it (or abstract it away from UX), so the users effectively pay zero gas.
What's missing are generalized programmable rollups. Optimism has been live on mainnet since January, but is currently restricted to only Synthetix. Uniswap V3 is the next major release on Optimism, before finally opening it up for public smart contract deployment in July or later. By the way, Optimism have done a terrible job with communications this year - criticism is certainly due here. Engineering-focused project or not, communications & public relations are always important.
But Optimism is just one solution. Other solutions like zkSync 2.0, Arbitrum and StarkNet will be rolling out over the course of the year, and we have more like OMGX and Cartesi joining the fray. Indeed, it now seems likely Arbitrum will be publicly available ahead of Optimism. Not to mention sidechains or commitchains like Polygon or xDai, or other EVM chains like BSC or Avalanche. Ultimately, all of these are part of the extended Ethereum ecosystem.
At the same time, this is also partially true. I will note that Ethereum L1 gas fees will likely remain high forever, short of some exotic technology that doesn't yet exist. Even o

Sharma left no doubt. No other lidar can compete with what Microvision has created. This includes the often hyped FMCW approach (Aeva). It has several enormous advantages which can now be demonstrated in real world testing. Crucially, as 2024 mass production requires OEMs to make hardware decisions years in advance (i.e. soon), this puts Microvision is an enviable position versus the competition.
Here is a portion of Sharma's prepared remarks.
>Let me start us today by updating you on our first-generation long-range lidar A-Sample and the potential impact it could have.
>I believe this sensor could offer a much higher level of performance compared to any lidar currently available or announced in the market. Our team successfully completed our A-Sample hardware and development platform on schedule. Our A-Sample hardware, as seen in the pictures shared in the press release earlier this week, is targeted for potential customers, partners and parties interested in a strategic transaction and can be mounted on top or behind the windshield inside a test vehicle.
>We designed this hardware to support automotive level moving platform testing from the ground up. Our robust design also allows us to target this hardware for initial sales in the second half of 2021 following completion of internal and external testing. I will elaborate on this a bit later on this call.
>We expect our sensor to meet or exceed current target OEM specifications. MicroVisionโs lidar sensor is expected to perform to 250 meters of range. It is also expected to have an output resolution of 10.8 million points per second from a single return at 30 hertz. Lidar companies communicate product resolution in different ways as you may know. I think looking at points per second is the most relevant metric to compare resolution performance of competing lidar sensors. We believe our sensor will have the highest point cloud density for a single-channel sensor on the market.
>Our sensor has also been designed for immunity to interference from sunlight and other lidar sensors using our proprietary scan locking intellectual property. >Our sensor will also output axial, lateral, and vertical components of velocity of moving objects in the field of view at 30 hertz. I believe this is a groundbreaking feature that no other

"I can't get this thing plugged in," the technician said, staring at the cable he was holding in his hand.
Vuxten looked over from where he was looking at a hand drawn map at where the tech was kneeling down next to a holotank that still gleamed wetly from having been hot printed.
"Turn the cable over," Vuxten said.
The tech twisted his wrist and the top of the cable now had a thin yellow line in the middle of the plug. It slid right in and the holotank went live.
"Oops," the tech said, standing up. He brought up the menu and began loading the software needed from the block of molycircs next to him.
"It happens," Vuxten said, still looking at the map.
The forested area was nearly fifty miles across, in a rough bean shape. Casey's drop zone was the dent into the side of the bean. The drones that had gotten the view had all gone offline once they got close to eight thousand feet up, which was enough to give Vuxten a large view, but not enough to know what was going on around him.
"Holotank's coming online, sir," the tech said.
"Thank you, Corporal," Vuxten said, turning from the table and taking his map with him.
The holotank had already gone through the startup menus and loaded up the correct software. It showed a globe, flashed it was missing data, then skipped to the local datasets.
Dozens of icons burned in the smooth bean shape. All of them units of First Telkan, grouped up by company or greater size. Some of the green icons had red borders and/or were flashed, telling Vuxten that they were engaged with the enemy. He looked down at tapped a few controls.
The drones that were still airborne all appeared.
Sighing, he started allocating more drones to cover gaps. He then tabbed up direct action drones, loading in Casey's IFF profiles.
I miss the days of just running through the jungle, he thought to himself as icons started flashing to denote which units were taking control of the drones other units were firing. I've gotta balance who fires the drones, who takes over, who does what analysis according to our limited resources and manpower pool.
Vuxten sighed, remembering just how much of what he wa

So I've had Android phones for many years now. I had a Nexus 5, Nexus 6P, and am currently using a Pixel 2XL. Before these phones I had an iPod which I loved.
This is the year I get a new phone. I was waiting to see the Pixel 6, but the latest iPhone offerings I feel are very good, and the privacy features added in iOS 14.5 interested me enough to want to try an iPhone.
I just wanted to list my thoughts out for my own reference and to see what others think after the first ~24 hours of me using the phone, specifically an iPhone 12 Pro.
Good:
Mixed:
My first DD on GME! And yes of course I'll add the obligatory "this is not investment advice but rather my own opinion based on publicly available information. Carefully consider your own investment objectives and risk factors before investing."
TLDR: Nearly the entire float of available GME shares trades hands EVERY SINGLE TRADING DAY. Stocks with extremely high Turnover Ratio like this are subject to VOLATILE and sometimes VIOLENT changes in price, depending on which side of the demand/supply equation youโre on. With 2x-5x float likely in short and naked-short synthetic positions the MOASS is not a question of if, but when.
I donโt know about you folks, but I guess after a few down days and a $224/share avg I needed some additional reassurance that our GME will indeed take off one day. So, I dug deep into the memory banks and recalled one important supply-demand ratio from my investment finance classes, namely the Turnover Ratio (TRO).
Do you ever notice how some stocks seem to soar suddenly, often with little or no news? While other stocks can receive ongoing great news and hardly move higher at all? Well, my smooth brained apesโฆas you can imagine itโs all about supply and demand.
At the end of the day what makes a stock rise in value? If you answered โmore buyers than sellersโ then you win a banana! So how do we compare one stock to another and determine how changes in demand can affect the upward (or downward movement) of the price?
A quick definition check:
10-D AVG VOL (10-day average volume): Reflects more current trading activity, expressed as average daily volume over the last 10 trading days
FL (Float): Weโre all well versed on this one, but just in case float is โthe number of shares outstanding, or all the shares there are for that company, minus what is owned by insiders and what the company is holding back (treasury stock). In a nutshell, associate the float with the supply of shares available to be traded at any given time by the public.โ
So with those definitions in mind, I decided to pull Yahoo Financeโs Top 25 most active stocks for today, March 16th and dive right in. Most active stocks are listed in order of todayโs volume. I then added additional columns for, you guessed it, 10-D AVG VOL and FL.
This now sets us up for the simple TURNOVER RATIO (TRO) calculation, which is 10-D AVG VOL / FL.
If the float is very large relative to the average volume (lots of shares ou

https://boards.4channel.org/tv/thread/150034938/info-about-tfatws-cut-scene-with-willem-dafoe
>Hello there, call me Mr. Fuel Leak. I am here to report about a cut scene from "Falcon & The Winter Soldier". Said scene would feature Willem Dafoe, back as Norman Osborn. And would introduce Oscorp to the "Marvel Cinematic Universe".
>While, I don't work at Marvel Studios / Disney. I have had contact with sources close to Marvel Studios / Disney, for a while. Said sources have shared leaks that came true, in the past. So, these people are quite trustworthy. I have been informed of leaks in the past, from these trustworthy sources. But this is the first time I share one with 4chan.
>So, let's talk about the scene itself. The scene would take place after Sharon Carter is given her pardon. She finishes talking to her mystery contact. And here's where things take a turn. The episode wouldn't have originally ended with the camera panning to an American flag. But it would cut to Sharon Carter's contact, Norman Osborn. Willem Dafoe, back as Norman Osborn, would hang up on Sharon Carter, saying he will "Talk to her later". The scene would cut to Norman Osborn, looking at something which emits a green light. Norman Osborn says "And so it begins". The scene would then cut to the outside of the Oscorp building, which is revealed to be the old Avengers tower. The episode would end here.
>So, a scene that would bring Willem Dafoe back as Norman Osborn? This sounds great. So, what happened? My sources report that the reason this scene was cut was because they wanted to save the reveal of Norman Osborn / the Green Goblin, for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Other sources state that it's a mix between what I just mentioned, & because of time constraints / closing deadlines and / or because of contract / legal issues. Whatever the reason may be, the scene was cut. And the scene with Sharon Carter talking on the phone, was reshot, to what it is now...
>I personally believe that a cut scene introducing Oscorp, makes sense. The episode introduces two pieces of green weapons. The main thread's image is the weapons I am referring too. The introduction of these weapons was very rushed. A scene introducing Oscorp, would have explained everything. My sources also state that there's a reason that Marvel Studios is not talking about this scene at all. The reason is that they are trying to hi

Palpatine was one of the most powerful force wielders to ever live, who had a specific motive to wipe out the Jedi, so it seems reasonable he'd figure out a way to limit them. They specifically state that he blocked their ability to make prophecies, so we know he can do it. However, that would likely take a lot of effort, and after Order 66, when he'd already been revealed, he likely dropped that limitation, allowing the remaining Jedi to be vastly more powerful.

Itโs pretty clear that there was a massive power surge for Jedi, as they were able to be more in tune with the force due to Palpatineโs influence being lifted.

Let me first say that this game has problems, thatโs not a secret to anyone whoโs spent much time playing the game; there is plenty of legitimate reason to criticize the game and aspects of the devs approach to the design of specific systems. Criticism is warranted, fair and should be encouraged as a means of communicating with the devs as a community about what we hate, what we love, and everything in between. I will always encourage genuine good-faith criticism. Itโs the best tool we can use to help improve the games we love as a community.
What I canโt stand to see happen to any gameโs community is the rapid spread of bad-faith criticism that is based upon lies, misinformation, removal of context, and/or willful ignorance gain traction and effectively solidified as truth within the community. Most games deal with some degree of this type of behavior at launch, but for some reason this community has seen an especially bad case of it recently. Iโd like to provide some examples of these kinds of bad faith actors and arguments, in an effort to steer the community back into a reasonable state. #Introduction
2007 was the first full year after two major consoles released โ the Wii and PlayStation 3 in November 2006, with the Xbox 360 releasing in November 2005. Parallels can be made to 2021, with two major consoles also releasing the November prior โ the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in November 2020, with the Switch releasing in March 2017. 2014 wouldโve been the eighth generation version, and while it did have some great games (Shovel Knight, The Evil Within, Mario Kart 8, etc.), I think most would agree 2007 was more impactful.
To give a better frame of reference for this period in time, here were some of the things going on in 2007 outside the gaming industry: Apple had rolled out their first iteration of the iPhone, American Idol was the #1 show on Cable TV, George W. Bush was president of the United States, Blockbuster still existed, MySpace was still relevant, The Simpsons finally got their movie, J.K. Rowling released the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter saga, The Oprah Winfrey Show was still on the air, YouTube was only two years old and wasnโt really utilized by businesses yet, and in the U.S. you could get a mortgage 10x your annual salary.
Iโm going to do a write-up for most of the notable games released in 2007, though some will be left out due to the 40,000 character limit. The 2007 window is based on North American release dates. Release dates between different regions varied more back then, with some Japanese titles releasing months or sometimes even years later in the West. That said, North American release dates at this time usually coincided with European release dates as well. There were also more region-locked games during this time that never made it to the West. The most notable example from 2007 is Elite Beat Agents 2, although the first game did see a localized release.
#The Consoles and Handhelds of 2007
Your choice of console in 2007 was a lot harder to determine compared to now. The Wii, PS3, and X360 all had noticeable benefits and shortcomings. The Wii promised innovative new experiences with an unconventional controller at a cheap price point. However, the potential of motion controls to deliver a better experience was uncertain at the time, and it suffered in the graphics department, which was much more noticeable back then when compared with the HD consoles of its time. The X360 had a robust library of games due to being on the market longer, but the Red Ring of Death was a massive problem

Iโve been doing really well and I feel like sharing my thoughts for anyone interested. These are the things I wish I had known which would have saved me a lot of setbacks.
Ignore the charts. Donโt even look at them when making a decision. Regardless of what anyone says. A chart will only tell you what has happened so far. It will never tell you what will happen next. There is one exception to this I have found but I will bring that up at the very end of this post.
Use critical thinking for any single piece of information you read about a company or the market. Who published it and why? I havenโt yet found (and probably never will find) a single news article or post with neutral information on a company. And itโs never going to happen. In the stock market there are many different players and they all have different motives. Donโt trust what a Reddit investor tells you. But also donโt trust what CNN or CNBC tell you. There is something called โbiasโ and you have to be able to adjust the weight you give to any information you receive based on how biased the information is or might be. Any time you get information check multiple sources. Never rely on one single source. Or even one single type of source. If you only trust major news outlets you will be mislead or worse be behind the curve. If you only trust what investing forums say you are likely to run into people who are bagholding and trying to pump the stock to be able to dump it for a higher price before it keeps tanking. The truth is somewhere in the middle. Do your own research and donโt hesitate to use Googleโs โpast 24 hourโ search filter to make sure youโre getting the latest information.
Stay open to criticism. If you have a good idea but someone knows better, itโs not just a learning experience but it can save you from losing your money. However, only take criticism seriously if someone can properly articulate their point and isnโt just spouting catchphrases or being an asshole.
Dollar cost averaging. Itโs better to make several buys into a stock than one giant buy. Itโs impossible to perfectly time the market. But you will almost always get a better entry point by averaging than by throwing down all the chips on the first move.

If you havenโt seen my initial post, check it out [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/n271i8/my_thoughts_after_trying_out_a n_iphone/).
A few people were asking for my decision over what I was going to do regarding the phone choice, and the TL;DR is at the end in the conclusion. I never anticipated this follow-up post to become so detailed, but I have ended up writing a full review of my experience.
Thank you to everyone who commented on my previous post offering their thoughts and suggestions based on my initial feedback. I've learned a lot since then, and I'm certainly glad I waited a bit longer to continue trying the device.
This review is original content written by myself based on my own thoughts from using the iPhone 12 Pro and iOS 14.5 compared to my Pixel 2XL on Android 11.
This is not a 100% comprehensive review but covers the main areas of note and the miscellaneous section contains highlights of smaller things I wanted to discuss (though not everything- especially in areas that I have no interest in or reason to investigate, or have otherwise forgotten). The review has not been paid-for or sponsored and is written as much as possible without bias. It is not written in a completely formal style, and I apologise in advance for any grammatical errors, improper English, or repetition of terms.
Moving on, I wanted to write this post to talk more objectively about the iOS vs Android experience in general, as it has been insightful for me to compare these two very different operating systems.
There are some major differences between how these two versions function, and I donโt think that one is necessarily better than the other. I am going to talk through some key aspects that I noticed, and generally go on a long-winded discussion about everything I can think of from the week Iโve had the iPhone.
iPhone 12 Pro
This is, unequivocally, the nicest and most premium phone I have ever used. There is no Android phone that compares in build quality or design. It is so well built, so beautifully created, that it feels wrong to hide it in any case.
The stainless-steel sides on the Pro do collect fingerprints, but it looks very premium, and the frosted glass back enhances that aesthetic. The front glass is allegedly more drop resistant than previous iterations, which gives me more confidence in the build as it makes me uncomfortable to have a double-backed glass phone- shame this ceramic shield isnโt on the back glass

After my first post yesterday I decided to compare Destiny 2 which is free on both platform and provide visual proof.
Hypothesis: Is it possible that some people say 'I don't notice the latency on Stadia' because it can actually perform better than on local hardware?
To test the overall latency from the moment a button is pressed to the moment the action appears on the screen I've recorded a video of my computer screen while pressing a very clicky button. Then, using video editing software I've measured the time from the moment the click is registered in the audio waveform to the moment the action is visible on the screen.
Note: this comparison was made on a non-gamer laptop. However, it still shows that for people like me playing on Stadia is actually better in terms of response.
Scroll down to see more details of the comparison and also images!

โIโm sorry, do repeat that again, Iruka-kun.โ
โNaruto was absent again from class today. I had thought it was simply because he knew we were reviewing clone theory and the mechanics behind the kawarmi... but as classes were being let out, I saw him with the fourth years, performing the ninjutsu test... he passed Hokage sama.โ Explained iruka, his eyes still showing shock. โHe was the first person in my class create a passable henge, and he had worked out most of the kawarmi during our second session last week...โ
The sandamie Hokage looked far less than pleased. For most ninja, they had rarely seen him with any expressions other than joy, good natured humor and neutrality. His current look only promised pain for anyone he deemed suited for his wrath. โKoramu-kun... why did you deem it a good idea to let young Naruto-Kun enter the graduation exams, despite only just completing his first year in the academy?โ
โW-well sir, when I caught him tampering with the water bubbler next to a room that he wasnโt assigned to and on the wrong floor, he made the excuse that he was suppose to be in that room today for some reason.โ Explained the stern but bland looking woman. โI figured it would be better for him to learn the consequences of such a poorly planned lie. I was under the impression that he had very little skill as a shinobi. The test should have proven he was lying.โ
โAnd he passed his written test.โ
โYes sir, or to be more specific, he stole another students without getting caught. It wasnโt until I graded Maturiโs test that I noticed his was slightly sloppier than normal, and he got answers wrong that he never would have normally.โ
โAnd the taijutsu test?โ
โRento tested his defensive capabilities. When rento determined that he needed near chunin level taijutsu to put him down for any considerable amount of time, he passed Uzumaki with a note to learn a better taijutsu style.โ
โNaruto has never lost a spar by knock out or submission, Hokage-sama. He has only ever lost on points or on disqualification.โ Iruka supplied. โAnd Neji-Kun is so far the only student from his class that he has never defeated.โ
โVery well. His ninjutsu?โ
โHe transformed into you, Hokage-sama. He got very few details wrong, he was even able to take of the hat and the hair was correct. He tried three times to use kawarmi. Two failures and one rather good one where he replaced himself with an entire desk... we graded each jutsu as a Passing grade.โ

Mum always loved to wear sarongs (fabric wraps that go around the torso and drape downward a bit like a long skirt would), so my uncle suggested that she wear a sarong in there.
The funeral director looked a bit confused, as did some of our family members, to which my uncle added:
"What's sarong with that?"
I started laughing like an idiot. He was proud of it too. The funeral director was rather shocked. We assured her, and our more proper relatives, that Mum would've absolutely loved the joke (which is very true).
His delivery was perfect. I'll never forget the risk he took. We sometimes recall the moment as a way help cushion the blows of the grieving process.

Hi guys!
Today I'm going to be covering a massive tech-giant called Microsoft. They have a market cap of 1.74T and are the second-largest company in the US. I'm going to do a deep-dive into the fundamentals and catalysts that could make Microsoft a good buy. As always, a TL;DR is at the bottom and if you have any companies you want to see me do a DD on, leave them in the comments.
Business
Microsoft is a well-known diversified technology company. Most consumers are familiar with their windows operating system, which has a 75% desktop OS market share as of 2020 ***[1]***, their Microsoft Surface Laptop, which they've advertised aggressively, and their Office 365 productivity suite, which is commonly used in schools and businesses alike.
Their operations can be broken up into 3 broad categories: Productivity and Business Processes (32.44% of revenue), Intelligent Cloud (33.82% of revenue), and Personal Computing (33.74% of revenue). Let's break these segments down!
Productivity and Business Processes
This segment includes Microsoft's Office product line, LinkedIn, and Dynamics.
Office saw stellar growth during the pandemic. In Microsoft's 10-K filed in June of 2020, we can see that Office revenue grew by 4.5B or 15%. Office accounts for 64.63% of this segment's revenue. I don't see all that much future growth potential here. Google's productivity suite will cut into margins and makes the moat here very small. While Office Commercial could be alright, Office Consumer will probably get blown out of the water by Google's free product offering.
LinkedIn is another pandemic out-performer. This product grew revenue 1.3B or 20% in 2020 and currently accounts for 14% of this segment's revenue. There's a lot of unrealized potential here and I want to go a little in-depth here because I think this is overlooked by a lot of people.
Think about the amount of data LinkedIn has for a second. You willingly enter in: your current place of residence, your age, your current place of work, your past working experience, your prior education, your interests, what skills you have, etc. This is a data GOLDMINE. All the information Google spends billions on developing algos to infer about you is offered up to Microsoft by over 740 million members [2]. If Microsoft identifies this as an opportunity they'd be willing to pursue, it could be huge.
Finally, there's Microsoft Dynamics. I feel so-so about this product. It has fierce competitors who dominat

"Yes, sir?" Casey asked, his voice empty and expressionless, but his eyes still red.
"Can you still follow orders? My orders?" Vuxten asked. He waved around himself. "There's still an entire planet to save here."
"Of course, sir," he looked at the armor. "I'll follow orders, sir, that's one of the things I'm good at."
"And Trucker? Do I have to have him guarded?" Vuxten asked.
Casey stepped forward and put his hand on the thick armor of the power armor suit. He sighed. "I'll follow orders, sir."
Vuxten nodded, looking at the armor. It seemed like it was waiting eagerly for Casey to step back into it.
"Do you know what the kid wanted on his twelfth birthday, sir?" Casey said softly. Vuxten stayed silent. "A pink golfball. That's all, just a pink golfball."
Vuxten stayed silent and watched as Casey stepped into the armor. He shuddered slightly as the human picked up the datacable and pushed the three inch long needle back into his eye socket. The armor suddenly closed, sealing up, and the eyes went red. The armor stood up to its full height.
"Awaiting orders," Casey's voice was synthesized.
"Stick with HHC right now. I need a sitrep update," Vuxten said. He turned and walked through the mud to the flitter, climbing in the back, the Marine who's hand he grabbed practically snatching his arm off to pull him into the vehicle.
A quick check via the radio, double checking against the holo-projection from his palm, and he had the Division moving again. He gave the orders, making sure to shift everything.
Trucker sat on the bed of the flitter, watching Vuxten work, his eyes red rimmed and sunken into dark rings. Despite the fact the cybereyes were clear and bright, they gave off the feeling of being bloodshot and red.
Finally Vuxten was done. He took a couple deep drinks of the flat and tepid water, tabbed up a piece of stimgum, and looked at the Terran General.
"I've managed to make contact with Fleet. They're sending a dropship for you, sir," Vuxten said.
Trucker nodded. "Of course th

I think this reddit has been a great place for all of us to voice our concerns, compare notes & ask questions. Taylor's story this morning REALLY bothered me. She essentially acknowledged that she knows about this and us, yet instead of taking any ownership or accountability, she blames us for being toxic.
This got me thinking how we can better approach this situation to really make an impact and hopefully nudge BA and/or Taylor into a place where they can address us instead of ignoring. Here are my suggestions:
Stick to the facts when questioning Balance. See below on the main ones that we can PROVE:
Fact #1: We know for a fact that BA, Buffbunny, Alphalete & Fabletics use the same manufacturer. There is a lot of speculation about their manufacturing and Alibaba etc. but, IMO, the manufacturers on Alibaba are most likely stealing BA's & Buffbunny's pictures and pretending they make their product. The fact they use the same manufacturer can be proved by clicking the manufacturers on Import Genius and seeing who shares the same manufacturer.
Fact #2: Balance uses VANQUISH HK Limited, XIAMEN FEELING TEXTILE & GARMENT & XIAMEN EAGLE STONE IMP AND EXP CO. Factual information from Import Genius: https://www.importgenius.com/importers/balance-athletica-co
I believe that Balance does choose pre-set designs and that they have the same options as BB/Alphalete. I have a fashion merchandising degree and this is how a lot of manufacturers operate. These manufacturers have higher MOQ's (minimum order quantity) and typically require some networking to get into...that's why we can't see their offerings off of Alibaba. This explains to me why the Buffbunny bikini and Toluca top are the exact same... as well as the Alphalete stripe hoodies and the verse hoodies with slight aesthetic adjustments.
*I don't think it is wrong that they share the same manufacturer - the issue is that they have lied and told us that Chloe designs everything from scratch. It is also a fact that Chloe has no fashion design background.
Fact #3: They received the seamless leggings from quartz on 3/28 - proving that they have lied to us about why they are not launching them. (info via Import Genius)
Fact #4: ***They do not have the cloud shorts or leggings (via import genius) and plan to launch them 5/17. *This also proves even further that the

Dont get me wrong, I am a Junior, and my first internship was in help desk(currently cloud engineer intern), but theres seem to be some culture here that everyones first job out of college will and should be helpdesk.
Just looking at linkedin, there are over 500+ devops/cloud/IT internship openings. I believe the culture here doesn't really push students to pursue these internships, these are a ticket out of having a helpdesk be your first new grad job. This will affect your salary and career trajectory.
Compared to /r/csMajors where every post is about a FAANG internship and earning 10k a month as in intern. The culture there pushes pursuing the best possible internship in college. This is a quote from a comment here "They're aware that starting as high as you possibly can is a good thing and aren't afraid to go for it. By comparison, the attitude here has IT/IS majors doing nothing for 4 years, doing tech support at their university, MSP, geek squad, or just plan old help desk. Everyone just seems to go right for the lowest hanging fruits. It seems like a mix of low confidence, lack of research, and lack of drive." They being /r/csMajors .
Virtually every internship is remote now, which means if you dont live in a tech hub, you still have an opportunity to intern for these bigger companies doing exciting work.
There should be monthly threads aimed at students with a focus on internships, where/how to apply, whats trending etc. This post isnt aimed to put down help desk, I started as a help desk intern and realized its best to pursue internships that focus on what you want to specialize in , in order to have a higher chance of working in that upon graduation.
edit: not to say getting an internship is easy, I have probably applied to over 500+ places and I am only a junior in college. It is a number/luck game after all. edit 1: this post is aimed more for students as there are a lot of career switchers where this may not really apply.
Edit 2: this post is aimed for students
Edit 3: I am not advocating to skip help desk, like I said my first internship was help desk and not only taught me a lot, but allowed to to get a better picture of where I want to take my career.
Because 10+10 is twenty and 11+11 is twenty too..
