I was talking with a couple of friends about two Metallica songs,Fade To Black and Nothing Else Matters,and one of them was saying that they are two completely different songs.I then told him that they both are ballads and he told me that calling Fade To Black a ballad is like calling Chop Suey or Aerials ballads too.And that got me thinking.So I'm turning to reddit for an answer.Can Chop Suey and Aerials be considered ballads?
P.s.:Fade To Black is actually a power ballad
It's ground beef, elbow macaroni, tomato sauce and sometimes topped with cheese. It was a school cafeteria staple back in the day.
I remember when I was quite young maybe a few years after the toxicity album came out there was a thing on YouTube or something about the song Chop Suey ( I know YouTube was created in 2005, canβt remember what platform it was but along those lines). It said if you turn the bass right down on your speakers and listen to the song after Serj sings βgrab and a brush and put a little makeupβ and then there is a second or two of silence between that and βhide the scars and fade away the shake upβ. In this silent gap you could hear someone shout something like β911β. Anyone else remember this and have any info on it?
